I really enjoyed this one. This was my first book in the Tarnished Angels Motorcycle Club series, and even though it can be read as a standalone, I definitely think reading the others would give you more context. I never felt lost, but I could definitely tell there was history I was missing.

This one was very relationship-driven. The cartel storyline was there, but it definitely took a back seat to the romance. I loved Sutton’s feistiness and Viper’s stubbornness, and their relationship was just fun to follow. There is an age gap, but Sutton, but I honestly didn’t even think about it unless it was brought up.

Kassie Hollowell and James Cassidy were great. Their tone and delivery were on point, and they really brought Sutton and Viper to life.

I recommend this for readers who like MC romance, relationship-driven stories, feisty FMCs, stubborn MMCs, and a little danger mixed in with the romance.

Venom & Vengeance follows Viper and Sutton, and I have to say that Sutton is probably one of my favorite characters in this series so far. I loved her energy, her authentic personality, and her unapologetic “I don’t give a crap” attitude. She means what she says, says exactly what she wants, and has learned that sometimes you have to throw caution to the wind and speak your mind. I absolutely loved that about her.

I didn’t know much about Viper before starting this book because he is still fairly new to the Tarnished Angels. He transferred from another motorcycle club out of state and has a complicated past that kept him away from the world for a while. He is closed off, intimidating, and known as the huge, grumpy, growling muscle of the group. If the club needs someone intimidated, Viper is the man they send—and I ended up loving him!

Sutton and Viper were so much fun together. She constantly pushed his buttons and slowly brought him out of his shell. He found her incredibly annoying, but in the best possible way. I loved watching her break through his walls and reveal the softer side he keeps hidden from everyone else. Their personalities balanced each other perfectly, and their relationship was easily my favorite part of the story.

This wasn’t my favorite installment in the series, but it was still a really enjoyable read. My one complaint about the series is that I wish we got more of the motorcycle club itself. I would love to sit in on the club meetings, see the guys working together, and learn more about how they are handling the cartel and the other dangers surrounding them. The books focus heavily on each couple’s romance, so we don’t get as much behind-the-scenes MC action as I would personally like.

The audiobook narration was fantastic. James Cassidy and Kesi Hollowell paired extremely well together, and both delivered the emotions and personalities of these characters perfectly. James Cassidy’s deep, intimidating performance fit Viper so well, while Kesi Hollowell completely captured Sutton’s feisty energy and confidence. The pacing was great, the emotions came through beautifully, and the duet narration made the entire listening experience even better.

So I didn't read any of the others in this series, but I'll tell you I love Viper so much!!! He was growly and grumpy, but he was so smitten in his own way with Sutton!! When he first met her, it'd ro clean up a mess at her trailer. She killed someone who tried to rape her and asked her friend for help having the biker club get involved. She was all sass and a breath of fresh air for Viper since many didn't talk to him because of his mood.

She didn't care she teased and taunted him and informed him she wanted to sleep with him. As all grumps, he pushes her away because of his age. That didn't stop her , and I was a little sad. Viper was push/pull with her until he finally gave in. But it was sex only nothing else that gave both mixed signals. Then we got to the gritty of the club life.. so much sadness, so much drama with the bad guy.

I'll be honest a few times. Sutton annoyed me on how she acted. She felt brass. But idk how the other women in the series were. Maybe I might try to read the others in the series. Maybe, but then again, it was told from Sutton pov, which I was sad we didn't get Vipers' pov.

When she turns to her neighbor for help, her neighbor's friends at a local motorcycle club know how to clean up the mess that's left behind and take her to safety. Enter Viper, the man tasked with keeping an eye on her. Older, grumpy, and a hot, thick tree Sutton wouldn't mind climbing. Their relationship is only supposed to be temporary, but with the club staring down the Cartel and bullets flying, it may be too hard to say goodbye.

Fracking fantastic! Venom and Vengeance is definitely on my faves of 2023 list. Great storyline that is well written, moves quickly, and has a ton of action. Tons of witty dialogue that had me literally laughing out loud. Sutton was hysterical. She's only 22, but lived plenty of life preferring to ride things out with snark and humor. Viper just doesn't know how deal with her and the stoic, grumpy man can't help but crack a smile, almost breaking his face, lol. The chemistry between them was super hot and their relationship made sense as well progressed logically despite how quickly they got together. Just a fantastic read!

Venom & Vengeance is the 5th book in the Tarnished Angels Motorcycle Club and can be read as a standalone, but best enjoyed when read in series order. It is told in first person, from Sutton's perspective, except for the epilogue which is from Viper's. Can't wait until the next book is out!

This one definitely starts out with a bang and I immediately knew I would like Sutton, our FMC. She is feisty and just unapologetically herself and I loved that about her. I love when our FMC is strong, independent and can take care of herself.

Viper is quiet, broody, and intimidating. No one knows much about him but they also know that they don't want to get on his bad side. Somehow, Sutton was able to penetrate those walls and I loved seeing it (so did everybody else in the club). It was evident very early, things were going to become much more.

This one is definitely pretty instant lust/love and there's lots of good spice that goes with it, but it does not overtake the story. We continue our drama with the cartel and there are some pretty emotional moments around that and a few things that just made me angry for all of the characters and the situation.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. The dynamic was a bit different but I loved seeing how everything built with Sutton and Viper.

The audio for this one was so great! It is duet narration with Kasi Hallowell and James Cassidy and they absolutely fit Sutton and Viper perfectly and just really elevated the story.

Another Meh.. i want a biker MC drama, action with a romance story, not a boring immature, only about sex lust relationship story. If I want that, I'll choose that genre.
This book had 0 drama. Everything that happened in the drama side (biker side) was all off page. They took down the cartel somehow within a few hours with only 1 senseless loss. It's like the author doesn't know how to write drama. Just watch sons of anarchy for ideas no one would care. These books have gotten progressively worse with the shift from book 1 to smut over plot.
This one had potential. It started strong, with Sutton unknowingly killing a cartel member who tried to kidnap her.
She was held at the compound for absolutely NO reason. There was never a moment of them looking for her, never a wiff it was so dumb.
Within a day she is sleeping with Viper, within 2 weeks they are talking about babies because "Mr old enough to know better" viper forgot to wrap because her witnessing her friend being shot in the head 2 hours prior immediately meant she needed sex. 😒🙄
It appears this author doesn't know about the morning after pill because if you are so concerned about it, why wouldn't you take it for peace of mind, but it is never mentioned.
It was just page after page of boring smut, not even well written, age gap concerns, and babies.
There was no chemistry with Sutten and Viper, just sex. Sutton had no emotional range.. she never reacted to anything, and there was no explanation as to why. She was so immature and selfish that it just gave you constant eye rolls.
She got mad that her friend left town even though she never contacted her for weeks. She whines about not having a real career or purpose but does nothing to help that. She got handed everything in this book (job, home, car).
At the begining she is bonding with Savage but then when he is shot she can't even be bothered waiting at the hospital till he is out of surgery because Viper has broken ribs (he will live).
The first book in this series was great and gave me hope of a great new MC series, but it's just not there. It's needs dual POV, so there is substance. I'm so tired of reading "club business" when someone asks for details, that's not how it works.
Seriously, if I have to read about "thrusting" for everything again (please try a thesaurus).. to me, if a guy is kissing me and "thrusting his tongue in my mouth," he is a terrible kisser 🤢🤮
I'm glad there isn't another book for a while as I definitely need a break. Another disappointment 😞 you can skip this one.

I received an ARC copy of this book and was so happy to read it. This book jumps right into the drama when a traumatic event happens to Sutton and she gets pulled into the war between the MC and the cartel. This leads to her meeting and being protected by the MC and the tough, silent Viper. I loved Viper! He took his job seriously and tried to do the "right thing" by Sutton but ultimately he couldn't resist her sass and so began their arrangement. There is lots of drama, heartbreak and the MC world really moves forward in this book. I really felt the emotional effect of the words during the most pivotal and life changing scenes. Those were very well written.

I liked how this story tied into the rest of the series. Some of my favorite parts were the interactions with the other characters from previous books. There are a lot of people to keep track of so while you may be able to read this as a standalone, I highly recommend you read the rest of the books first. Overall, this story moves the series along nicely but I think Sutton should have dealt with some of the feelings she kept pushing down. She dealt with a lot of conflict, and while Viper was always there for her, it seems she should have had a breakdown at some point. I can't wait to see where the series goes from here!

Okay, so I thought book 4 Thrust & Throttle was going to be my favorite of the series. However, I think Venom & Vengeance just defeated it hands down.

Duet Narration with the always swoon worthy James Cassidy who does the sexiest deep growly voice ever and Kasi Hollowell who blew away my ears with her narration of Sutton.

Sutton is an independent self-assured young woman who knows what she wants. She wants Viper. A member of the local cartel tries to kidnap Sutton, but she got the better end of that bargain. Viper and the Tarnished Angels step in to help protect her.

The battle between the cartel and the Tarnished Angels is heating up and who knows what might happen next.

Viper gets hurt, Sutton nurses him back to health. They both begin to realize that what they have might be something really good.

I absolutely adored this story. Thank you to Emma and Darkstar Romance for the ALC.

This was such a fun, spicy, high-stakes MC romance!

Sutton finds herself in danger after a run-in with a cartel, and turning to Viper for protection lands her straight into the Tarnished Angels clubhouse. Viper is grumpy, older, possessive, protective, and absolutely deliciously alpha. His chemistry with Sutton was impossible to ignore, and I loved watching their relationship develop from protection to something neither of them could walk away from.

I especially loved the found-family aspect of the club. Even with all the danger surrounding Sutton, seeing the club welcome her and become a place where she felt safe added so much heart to the story.

And the audiobook narration by James Cassidy and Kasi Hollowell was fantastic. Their performances made the characters feel alive and pulled me deeper into the story. The tension, danger, emotions, and spice all came through beautifully.

If you love MC romance, protective alpha heroes, possessive vibes, found family, high-stakes danger, and plenty of spice, definitely add this one to your TBR!

Viper and Sutton completely stole my attention.

Emma Slate has written a steamy MC romance series that's mostly relationship focused. The gritty crime world aspect is woven in here and there but like the previous book, this story is mainly all about what the FMC is experiencing, feeling, thinking and wanting.
Sutton was an interesting character. She is youthful, curious, scared at times, a little out of her element, and quickly learned how to push Viper's buttons. Chapter One was intense. The situation she found herself in was frightening and she reacted out of sheer panic. Enter the MC world of the Tarnished Angels and Savage, who is quickly becoming my favorite of all the guys in the series. He's freaking hilarious. His banter, teasing, flirting, and a side of confidence really makes him a great character who is often the MC Club informant to the reader.
Viper though had such a diverse characterization. He was protective, possessive, filthy when it was time to turn up the heat, and refused to fall into the relationship drama of the MC Club. (Until Sutton, of course.)
The audiobook is another superb production by DarkStar Romance. The duet is seamless and never had any strange lags, long beats, or sound issues. The narrative chemistry between James Cassidy as Viper and Kasi Hollowell as Sutton was absolutely believable. James brings a gruff intensity to Viper, with a growly low emphasis when he's bringing Viper to the pinnacle of need but easily slides into the sarcasm and tease of Savage and the deeper grit of Duke. I always knew who was speaking by the way James changed his cadence and tone. Kasi brought that young, vulnerable and yet tough personality to Sutton. She kept Sutton's characterization consistent through the whole story and when other females characters showed up, she gave them voices and personalities to match.
Overall, this was a fabulous listen.
This book like the earlier ones in the series is all in the FMC's point of view. I feel like that leaves a lot of emotion and understanding of the MC Club inner workings out of the story. I really enjoy reading the MMC's point of view, especially when he's with his friends or in the midst of danger or better yet when he's at the tipping point with need.
The story itself was definitely all about Sutton's time in the compound and the danger of the cartel happened outside the plot for the most part. But, I think this is something the author does and the series is more of a romance from the heroine's POV wrapped in the dark world of the MC.
This book will appeal to readers who enjoy a feisty FMC who gets herself into trouble, finds safety and solace in the arms of a big, gruff and intense MMC, with a light plot and steamy scenes.

Well… apparently my biker MC infatuation is STILL going strong, and at this point, I’m not even pretending I want help. Emma Slate, this is becoming a serious problem. 😂🏍️

Venom & Vengeance gave me Viper and Sutton, and honestly… what a pairing.

Viper is the kind of man who walks into a room and brings the entire atmosphere down with him. Giant, grumpy, growly, emotionally locked down, and carrying enough walls around his heart to build an entire housing estate. He’s not exactly handing out warm hugs and heartfelt declarations… but underneath all that brooding, there’s so much more going on. The loyalty, the protectiveness, the vulnerability he tries so hard to hide… yeah, I was gone.

And then there’s Sutton.

This feisty little firecracker looked at all of Viper’s walls, his attitude, his growling, and his general don’t come near me energy and apparently thought… challenge accepted. 😂 She brought so much spark, humour, and warmth to the story, and I loved watching her push back against him without ever losing who she was.

Their banter was brilliant, their chemistry was ridiculously good, and the slow peeling back of Viper’s layers had me completely invested. Sutton had me laughing, Viper had me swooning, and together they gave me all the tension, emotion, and found-family goodness I’ve come to expect from this series. There’s just something about this club and the way these characters show up for each other that gets me every single time.

And the AUDIO… James Cassidy and Kasi Hollowell were bloody brilliant.

James brought ALL the deep, growly Viper energy, but he also captured those quieter moments and the emotion underneath all that gruffness. Kasi absolutely nailed Sutton’s sass, warmth, and comedic timing, and together their duet performance made the whole story feel so immersive. I was fully back in the clubhouse, happily listening to everyone’s chaos unfold around me.

Dark Star Romance has once again delivered an audio production that made this ridiculously easy to binge. I pressed play, got comfortable, and suddenly I was far too emotionally invested in another fictional biker and his woman. No regrets.

Five books in and I’m still here collecting fictional bikers like Pokémon…

This book had me full on laughing while listening to it! I absolutely loved Viper and Sutton!

Sutton is witty and such a brat. She has absolutely no filter and so feisty. This made her my favorite character from this series this far! Her fearlessness in that opening scene drew me in, but her tenacity and stubbornness to make Viper see her as a potential partner was one of the things I loved most about her! She truly wanted him, and just wanted him to see that age is just a number and they could be amazing together.

Viper is jaded like the rest of the men from this MC, but he has a heart of gold even though he is grumpy. His stony exterior and menacing presence scare people off, so most don't even try to get to know him or speak to him. It was amazing to see him come out of his shell as well, and be more open and talkative. He seemed pretty closed off to his MC brothers so that was fantastic to see.

This book was more centered around the relationship between Viper and Sutton and I loved that! Their charismatic pull to each other was so unbelievably cute and real! But of course, Viper believes he won't catch feelings 🙄 why do these men lie to themselves? 😂

The audiobook made my day. For real, the banter in this had me wheezing 🤣 Kasi Hollowell was the perfect narrator for Sutton. She brought all the sass and brought her to life in the best possible way! Huge props for the amazing performance! James Cassidy always brings his A game, and this audiobook was no different! Viper's personality was clear as day with his performance!

The banter between Sutton and Viper is absolutely hilarious!! I love how Sutton could just manipulate him so easily at the beginning!! She is so feisty and he is definitely stubborn but they were exactly what the other one needed.

I love how protective Viper and how everyone was so welcoming with Sutton in the club. Not only the old ladies but also all the guys. They befriended her and made her feel like part of the family from the start even when she wasn't officially an old lady yet.

I really enjoyed this book and it might be my favorite in the series. I only read book 1 and 2 though so I'm definitely missing the story of book 3 and 4 but I had no problem following along. It can be read as a standalone but there is definitely a lot of history and characters in the club plus all their old ladies.

I still would have love to know more about the motorcycle club and all the action that happens but it's all off page since we only get the fmc POV so we never get to see anything from the mmc POV including church meetings and all the stuff they do in the club that doesn't involve the women. This series is definitely less behind the scene of the biker club and focused more on the relationships and romance. There is still action though and I absolutely loved the narration so I was hooked to the audiobook.

Venom & Vengeance is book 5 in the Tarnished Angels Motorcycle Club series. This is an age gap, grumpy/sunshine, dark MC romance. The audiobook is narrated in duet by James Cassidy and Kasi Hallowell.

I know if I see these 2 narrators names on any book, they are gonna knock my socks off and this book was the same!!!

I have read/listened to this whole series and I cant sing it's praises enough. Emma will hook you on this story from the start, and the characters will keep you invested.

Sutton and Vipers story is one of my favorites from this series, and hearing James and Kasi bring them to life.....I dont even have words!! ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!!

I liked this one, it's a tad more graphic than previous books but I'm more than fine with that!

Viper is new to the club, he's been a brother for a long time but he's new to this chapter, he's still kinda a lone soul. Doesn't speak much, to anyone! Dangerous aura around him, grumpy etc
And then we meet Sutton, completely new character who finds herself in bother when she defends herself in her own home with a cast iron frying pan - go Sutton!

Anyway, she turns to her neighbour, who turns to her bed-buddy who in turn turns to his brothers.

Cue Sutton moving in to he clubhouse for protection and for her ass and sass blunt attitude breaking through Vipers massive walls!

A lot of danger around the club but also a lot of love, friendship and family.

I liked it. 3.5/4

Venom & Vengeance is the fifth book in the Tarnished Angels Motorcycle Club series and honestly, this one had no right to make me cry like that.

We meet Viper and Sutton and let me tell you, the banter between them is freaking amazing. While there is not a lot of action going on, as this story is mainly told from Sutton's POV, the character development of every character is freaking amazing. The way the stories are told about the couples that we see in previous books, as well as the ones that didn't get them, is just over the top.

Overall, I adore this series, but it is dark and spicy, so make sure you read TWs before getting into this one.

Right out the gate I was kicking & giggling. Viper & Sutton’s banter with each out was pure gold and they balanced each other perfectly. Our introduction to Sutton immediately told us that she’s a survivor and can hang with y the big boys with ease.

I was not prepared to fall for Viper but I really fell hard & fast.

Give me a book with Kasi Hollowell & James Cassidy and I’m in freaking heaven!! These two are pure magic and I was sucked in so easily that I stayed up until 1AM to finish this ride because I just didn’t want to get off.

The same as the rest of them. It really drags. And I finally figured out why. It's all her POV, all feminine, all gossip, all Old Ladies with their brood of children... All domestic, all HEA.
And I wanted a MC book. Him, being the hardass man, dealing with club business, going on the runs. But we're not privy to this kind of info.
And where are the club girls? A few first books mentioned them but they are never... in your face, like they should be. All OL are ok with the parties and their existence because they are...what...tame?
This series severely lacks the wild side. After book 3 it all seems samey samey. No cheating, even in the background, no OW drama, no couple problems. Everyone just leads their perfect MC life.

And I expected more.

This whole series has been incredible. I love the dynamic between Viper, and Sutton. I have come to love the teasing playful banter throughout the series. I was upset with the person we lost because I’ve grown attached to the character. I can’t wait for the rest of the audios so I can see where this new adventure leads us.

I just finished listening to Book 5 in the Tarnished Angels series, Venom & Vengeance, and I absolutely loved it. James Cassidy and Kasi Hollowell, two of my favorite narrators delivered a phenomenal performance. They brought Sutton and Viper to life with so much grit, emotion, and personality, and they nailed the supporting cast too.

I loved the instant connection Sutton and Viper form, and the strange little friendship–situationship that grows while Sutton is living on the MC compound. Their dynamic felt natural, fun, and layered in all the right ways.

There were moments when the pacing slowed down, especially while the MC was trying to plan and deal with the cartel. It threw things off a bit for me, but overall, I really enjoyed the storyline. We get a solid look into who Sutton is, her past, her fears, her strength and we finally get more insight into Viper’s background and everything he’s been carrying. One thing I’ve noticed with this series is that the endings don’t always feel fully buttoned up, and that was true here too. I would’ve loved a bit more closure for Sutton and Viper as a couple.

The spice in this one is definitely spicy, maybe even a little too spicy considering how much downtime there is while the MC is waiting on cartel movement. But the scenes themselves are done so well. Some are short, some are longer, but Emma writes them with intention and heat.

All in all, Sutton and Viper are probably my favorite couple in the series so far, and I cannot wait to see them pop up in the remaining books. That’s one of my favorite things Emma does, she writes incredible supporting characters who later become main characters, and I love how they weave in and out of each other’s stories. It makes the whole world feel alive.

This was book five in the Tarnished Angels Motorcycle Club series. Even though it can be read as a standalone, I definitely think reading the others would give you more context. Kassie Hollowell and James Cassidy are fabulous narrators& did a great job bringing this to life. They really brought Sutton and Viper to life. This audio is amazing, and Viper is incredible. He is a caring, protective husband who is very protective of his family and her. The FMC is a sassy, stubborn, intelligent, loving, and strong woman, and I love their story—there's fantastic banter between the characters. It has a little bit of spice.
