Using this volume as a placeholder for my review of its Season 1 (Chapters 1 to 54):

I can't believe Season 1 ended the way it did. Literally NOTHING happened at the last chapter (54). The story was building so much tension, and just when it felt like everything was about to explode, it simply stopped. After Chapter 53, I was fully expecting Cirrus to do something drastic after finding out that Skylar and Chan-il had been spending time together. The look he gave Chan-il genuinely made me think he was about to expose Skylar's secret photos or cause some kind of disaster. He looks like he could kill Chan-il at any moment on that panel. Instead, Chapter 54 ended without any major confrontation, which honestly frustrated me like, okay? Now I have to jump to the second season right off the bat!

Anyway, this first season was really good. A lot of characters pissed me off, and almost everyone seems to have their own problems, which honestly just got me even more invested. Cirrus and Skylar's relationship and interactions are easily the best part of the story. I can't wait to see what they'll do next, especially considering how both of them have so much unpacked history that's constantly making them act a little crazy every now and then. The interaction between them feels unpredictable.

But one thing I particularly love is how the manhwa never lets you forget that they're still just teenagers. No matter how manipulative, obsessive, or emotionally unstable they become, there are always moments where the masks slip and we see their vulnerability. Some of the most heartbreaking scenes are the ones where they just break down, cry, or struggle to process emotions they don't fully understand. Those moments make it impossible to see them as anything other than just the fact that they're children.

My favorite part of this season was Cirrus realizing just how much Skylar's presence meant to him. Skylar showing up without asking questions or judging his circumstances clearly meant more to Cirrus than Skylar could ever understand. The line, "Skylar, I can only be myself when I'm with you. So you'll have to stay by my side," really got me so excited. I'm sure it perfectly captures both the beauty and the unsettling nature of their present and future relationship. I'm so excited!

Other than introducing the main characters and getting an idea of what they think about each other (via the handling of the Chan-il pictures situation), not much happens in this volume. I've heard many people rave about this webtoon, so I can only assume that things get more interesting in the next volume. Both Skylar and Cirrus are intriguing characters, and I'm really looking forward to their backstories. No rating.

ok so i read 130 chapters in 2 days, that’s how HOOKED i was on this. i was SOBBING reading the backstory, like it’s so heartbreaking. the plot is insanely good and this is def in my top 10 for manhwas. the enemies section was like perfect length, like they still hated eachother 70% into the book and i LOVE that

я побачила неймовірно гарну мальовку і поринула в цю історію зовсім нічого про неї не знаючи. ця манхва дуже відрізняється від тих які я обираю щоб відволіктись, це з тих робіт після яких довго відходиш і не можеш почати щось нове бо не можеш припинити думати і проганяти все це через себе.

знаєте, я не так боюсь робіт про мафію або серійників, як боюсь робіт про школярів, бо те що пережили герої у дитинстві, через батьків і інших дітей - це те що дійсно лякає. діти не повинні через таке проходити.

сказати що мене помотало, це нічого не сказати, мене прогнали через мʼясорубку. після історії Ханиля мені було дуже важко, а коли дізналась минуле Хьонуна, від серця просто залишилось криваве місиво. я вмію обирати улюблений персонажів :)

I love the art style so much, it is so beautiful and Cirrus is genuinely so pretty. I also enjoyed reading this volume as well, it’s at a good pace and the plot was interesting enough for me to give it a read. Cirrus is so evil to Skylar too but I love him. I’m also curious about what’s going on with his mom, can’t wait to find that out.

upd: не буду отмечать тут все тома. но в общем очень странные эмоции оставила после себя эта история. все эти манипуляции, эмоциональные качели, психическая нестабильность..не то чтобы я первый раз с таким сталкиваюсь, но с этой историей был какой-то диссонанс, и даже от слащавого хэппи энда осталось странное послевкусие, будто не вписывается он предыдущие события

так то я закрыла гештальт этой манхвой, давно она у меня была в планах, но сюжетно не совсем мое

Qué historia tan bien construida. La profundidad de los personajes, el arte, lo realista que llega a ser, la delicadeza de los temas y la manera en que se los aborda son lo que hace que esta obra sea sublime.

Una historia que se toma su tiempo, que prioriza muchas cuestiones antes que enfocarse en el romance, y que justamente por eso se convierte en una historia increíble.

Todos hemos pasado por algo fuerte alguna vez, algo que nos movió el mundo entero, pero eso no tiene por qué limitarnos. Hay que aprender a vivir el presente, por más que duela o que odiemos aceptarlo. Uno no puede crecer si no deja el pasado atrás. Como dijo la autora, hay que saber levantarse y pisar todo aquello que uno quiere y debe dejar atrás, porque vivir estancado en lo mismo no nos conduce a nada.

BY FAR, THE BEST MANHWA I’VE READ SO FAR, AND ONE THAT WILL FOREVER HAVE A PLACE IN MY TOP FAVORITES.

What an incredibly well-written story. The depth of the characters, the art, how realistic it can be, the delicacy with which it handles its themes, and the way those themes are approached are what make this work truly sublime.

A story that takes its time, that prioritizes so many things instead of focusing solely on the romance, and that is precisely what makes it such an incredible story.

We’ve all been through something difficult at some point, something that completely shook our world, but that doesn’t have to define or limit us. We have to learn to live in the present, even when it hurts or when we hate having to accept it. You can’t grow if you don’t leave the past behind. As the author said, you have to learn how to get back up and step over everything you want and need to leave behind, because staying stuck in the same place gets us nowhere.

Lost in the Cloud, you will always have a place in my heart. ☁️✨

i don't recall exactly when i read through the entirety of lost in the cloud, just that it was a little while ago... and just never registered that, for some reason. i dunno. anyway, i think it's super overhyped. and not at all as cute as people make it out to be. both characters lowkey unlikable in my opinion, so i did not really root for them. ending did nothing to me either, because of that. and even though it's not as bad as other things i've read, people saying there's no sexual assault are crazy cuz kissing someone without their consent and kinda resist... is still assault. i said what i said. so yeah no not my vibe. glad i read it online and didn't get the physical volumes, cuz don't wanna own them actually.

its been a while since i've caught up with this manhwa, so i reread this and i think it's still a good depiction of toxic love and how it can drive people to do unusual things... and how normalised they think certain actions are due to both cirrus and skylars upbringing
