Other than introducing the main characters and getting an idea of what they think about each other (via the handling of the Chan-il pictures situation), not much happens in this volume. I've heard many people rave about this webtoon, so I can only assume that things get more interesting in the next volume. Both Skylar and Cirrus are intriguing characters, and I'm really looking forward to their backstories. No rating.

ok so i read 130 chapters in 2 days, that’s how HOOKED i was on this. i was SOBBING reading the backstory, like it’s so heartbreaking. the plot is insanely good and this is def in my top 10 for manhwas. the enemies section was like perfect length, like they still hated eachother 70% into the book and i LOVE that

я побачила неймовірно гарну мальовку і поринула в цю історію зовсім нічого про неї не знаючи. ця манхва дуже відрізняється від тих які я обираю щоб відволіктись, це з тих робіт після яких довго відходиш і не можеш почати щось нове бо не можеш припинити думати і проганяти все це через себе.

знаєте, я не так боюсь робіт про мафію або серійників, як боюсь робіт про школярів, бо те що пережили герої у дитинстві, через батьків і інших дітей - це те що дійсно лякає. діти не повинні через таке проходити.

сказати що мене помотало, це нічого не сказати, мене прогнали через мʼясорубку. після історії Ханиля мені було дуже важко, а коли дізналась минуле Хьонуна, від серця просто залишилось криваве місиво. я вмію обирати улюблений персонажів :)

оцінка за всі частини. я читаю манхви для розваги та швидкого відволікання, але тут виявилася цікава складна історія про підлітків. я плакала, переживала, злилась, раділа. ох, люблю таке. а мальовка яка шикарна!

upd: не буду отмечать тут все тома. но в общем очень странные эмоции оставила после себя эта история. все эти манипуляции, эмоциональные качели, психическая нестабильность..не то чтобы я первый раз с таким сталкиваюсь, но с этой историей был какой-то диссонанс, и даже от слащавого хэппи энда осталось странное послевкусие, будто не вписывается он предыдущие события

так то я закрыла гештальт этой манхвой, давно она у меня была в планах, но сюжетно не совсем мое

its been a while since i've caught up with this manhwa, so i reread this and i think it's still a good depiction of toxic love and how it can drive people to do unusual things... and how normalised they think certain actions are due to both cirrus and skylars upbringing

Lost in the Cloud è un’opera che, nonostante la sua facciata di romance BL, si rivela essere molto più di una semplice narrazione romantica. L’autrice riesce a raccontare una vicenda complessa e stratificata, toccando temi profondi e delicati attraverso due personaggi principali, Cirrus e Skylar . Entrambi i protagonisti sono caratterizzati da un passato traumatico, che diventa un elemento centrale nello sviluppo della trama e dei loro rapporti.

La storia si distingue sin dall’inizio per il suo tono maturo e riflessivo, che affronta tematiche come l’abuso, il bullismo e il trauma psicologico. Questi elementi non sono trattati in modo superficiale, ma vengono esplorati con realismo. Non è una storia per tutti, proprio per via delle tematiche trattate, e consiglio vivamente di prestare attenzione ai trigger warning prima di immergersi nella lettura.

Uno degli aspetti più apprezzabili dell’opera è la crescita dei personaggi. Cirrus e Skylar non sono semplicemente due individui che si incontrano; la loro relazione è influenzata e complicata dal loro passato. La cosa che più ho apprezzato, è che la loro evoluzione è trattata con estrema verosimilità.

Dal punto di vista artistico, Lost in the Cloud è una perla. Ogni tavola è un’esperienza visiva, con un’attenzione particolare alle espressioni dei personaggi e alle atmosfere che accompagna la narrazione.

Una menzione speciale va fatta anche per l’edizione fisica italiana del manga, che è stata curata con grande attenzione. La qualità della carta e della stampa è eccellente, e possedere una copia fisica (+ il portachiavi acquistato al Romics) di quest’opera è un vero piacere.

I’m so excited to have this in print in English!!!

The cover might be bright and colorful but this is not a fluffy, happy series. It is a psychological drama filled with lots of emotions. But I promise that it’s worth it! I know I will be picking up these physical volumes as they come out and reading it again.

Este es el primer manhwa BL que leo que tiene como subgero el drama psicológico y me gustó más de los je esperaba 🤔 Eso sí, está primera temporada es más drama psicológico que BL, de eso hay muy poquito 😶

Me gustó esta temporada pero me faltó un "algo" para que me terminara encantado, no es que sea mala, no, tiene muy buen ritmo y la trama es bastante interesante, sobre todo en los últimos capítulos que es cuando vemos más del pasado de Skylar, eso de verdad me puso los pelos de punta, fue horrible 🫢

Me hubiera gustado más contexto sobre Cirrus, creo que nos dejan mucho a la imaginación su pasado porque solo tiene como tres diálogos sobre ello con Skylar y lo dejan pasar porque a Skylar de importa un pimiento la vida de Cirrus 😅 Espero que en la siguiente temporada se explore más su pasado y ya queden las dudas saldadas ☝️

Ahora hablemos un poco de los personajes 👀 Skylar es el protagonista, es un chico tímido, de pocos o ningún amigo, tiene ansiedad, es de los mejores estudiantes de su clase, pertenece al club de fotografía y también tiene un secreto, tiene un crush con Chan-il (su compañero de clase y del club) y su "amor" es tanto que le saca fotografías en secreto... Sí, el tipo es un acosador y más que "amor" es una obsesión, pero eso se sabe hasta mucho después 🤷

Cirrus por su parte es todo lo contrario a Skylar, es muy popular, tiene muchos amigos, todos lo quieren/admiran, es muy inteligente, pertenece al equipo de fútbol y es mejor amigo de Chan-il 🙃 Pero hay algo malo con Cirrus, en realidad todo lo que él es y su personalidad es solo una fachada, en realidad es manipulador, controlador y cruel a cierto grado, todo eso sale a la luz cuando descubre que Skylar tiene un enamoramiento por Chan-il, esto gracias a que ve la nube de Skylar repleta de fotos de su mejor amigo...

Ahí a Skylar se le viene el mundo encima porque se ve envuelto en un juego de tira y afloja con Cirrus, quién quiere divertirse con él, le importa una mierda que Skylar sacará fotos de Chan-il, lo que en realidad quiere es un nuevo juguete para divertirse y en ese momento Skylar parece el candidato perfecto 😐

Creo que para este punto pueden adivinar por sí mismos que esta relación no es la más linda y mucho menos sana que existe... Empiezan de una forma muy jodida, tanto que estos dos personajes sienten odio/repulsión el uno por el otro, pero todo escala a grados mayores cuando ese interés por "jugar" de Cirrus se convierte en un gusto enfermizo por alejar a Skylar de todos para solo tenerlo para él, esto porque se dio cuenta de que solo con Skylar es capaz de no tener que fingir ser quien no es 😐 Esto podría algo lindo si le quitaramos el aspecto de que Cirrus quiere dejar a Skylar completamente solo para que no tenga otra opción más que estar con él 🙄

En fin, el pasado de Skylar es turbulento, sufrió de bullying y llegó al extremo de estar medicado para evitar que entre en crisis e intenté suicidarse como una vez lo hizo en el pasado... Sí, él es un personaje bastante complejo, ahora está viendo un poco de luz al final del oscuro túnel porque se está acercando a gente de nuevo, después de ser aislado por demasiado tiempo, afortunadamente todo esto en contra de los deseos de Cirrus 🙌

Por su parte Cirrus también tiene un pasado con traumas, no nos terminan de decir la razón pero su mamá murió cuando él era un niño pequeño (tengo la teoría de que su papá la mató) y desde ese suceso su papá no ha hecho otra cosa más que traer mujeres jóvenes para que sean su "madre"... Eso le acarreo muchos problemas para relacionarse con otros niños, también lo acosaban burlándose de que no tenía mamá y a eso se le agrega que su padre al parecer lo golpeaba 🫢

Fue cuando era niño cuando entendió que para que la gente se acercara a él tenía que cambiar su personalidad, se tenía que volver más alegre, más simpático y no dejar ver mucha su oscura personalidad, no dejar que los demás vean sus problemas familiares, siempre ver el ejemplo innato de la perfección 👀 Obviamente eso no es sano y no podía terminar siendo alguien estable mentalmente después de eso ☝️

Entonces como era de esperarse con estos pedazos tan complejos de personas que nos presentan, en la primera temporada es más que nada contexto sobre sus vidas en la actualidad con sus traumas del pasado, aquí se trata de ver cómo sus vidas se ven entrelazadas por un problema y como eso los lleva a acercarse más de lo que ellos mismos querrían 😐

Y sí, en esta primera temporada no hay NADA se romance, solo hay un beso entre ellos y francamente termina siendo doloroso de ver, no es acarreado por buenos sentimientos... Y aunque hay otra escena de tensión que es más "ligera" tampoco se siente del todo bien con el contexto general de la historia en ese momento 😖

Algo que si no me gustó nada fue el final de la temporada, fue muy abrupto y apresurado, hasta se siente anticlimático, no me gustó para nada, me decepcionó bastante y creo que por ello no he leído mucho más 🤔

Bueno, eso es todo lo que tenía para decir con respecto a esta historia 🤷 Creo que tiene mucho potencial y espero retomarla pronto, tengo fe de que evolucionará para bien pero también me causa conflicto como pasaremos a esta relación tan complicada a algo romántico, es que no puedo verlo 👀

Also these people just needed to sit down and talk also how much fucking studying could one person do you either know it or you don't....

Someone else stated in this review that this is clearly a set up volume and I agree with that reviewer. A book tuber I watch said this was fantastic and based on that persons reaction I decided to pick this up. It’s not bad just the beginning. The ending was what really got me interested it’s clear that something is going on in Cirrus’s home and it’s giving me a very bad feeling.
