Sinful New York series book 2
In this dark romance mafia novel, we follow another couple from the Sinful New York series. I suggest you read Bianchi beforehand, because the plot continues in Marino.
Margot lives with her mother and step-father. Their relationship is strenuous at best, even more so when she discovers she is being sold into marriage to Massimo Marino as a debt payment. Reluctantly, she must agree, but not without a fight. A fight that Massimo enjoys per times, yet he still needs to install discipline in his new, wild wife and uncover the rat he knows hides in the midst of his circle.
Marino was fun to read, especially the push and pull of Margot and Massimo. I must admit that there were times where their inner monologues didn’t align with their actions at all, and it was confusing because they didn’t try to convince themselves, their thoughts were genuine. Situations were fleetingly confusing sometimes. It was different from Bianchi, which is alright, after all we like diversity, but if you expect something along those lines regarding Marino, you will not find it. Nonetheless, it was a quick read if you want to read a dark mafia romance with an insta-lust couple with a possessive mmc and a “brat” fmc.
Thanks so much to Addison Tate for the arc.
