Jim Vincent throws us into the midst of an undercover thriller filled with danger and corrupt corporations with The Seahawk Consignment! Tara Heddle-Massenet is something of a second rate journalist working on mind-numbing assignments. But when she stumbles on a seedy arms smuggling deal with a corrupt corporation in London, she finds that the journey to release a meaningful story is often one wrought with danger. I love all the intrigue Vincent throws into this one and especially that growing sense of tension as Tara starts to pull back the veil of the company’s no good dealings! This was a really fun thriller with plenty of ‘ah!’ moments, only amplified by the fact that Tara was a fun and sympathetic character. In a way, I was pleasantly reminded of The Firm with a bit more action mixed in. If you’re looking for a good corporate conspiracy thriller, definitely come take up arms with The Seahawk Consignment!

Tara is a journalist who has uncovered some incriminating things about British company, Seahawk. When she realizes that a fellow journalist in another country has uncovered similar evidence, the two come together to share and publish what they know. But will the people that want the truth to stay hidden get to Tara and her colleague before they are able to publish?

This is a short and fast paced thriller that has a interesting story line. While a bit predictable at times, the plot does keep you wanting to turn the page to see what happens next. The characters need a bit more development. I think the author intentionally set out to make Tara a bit flawed, but it didn't play well for me personally and seemed a bit awkward at times.

Generally well written although a bit mechanical at times.

I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I received this Title in a Goodreads Giveaway. This one was a quick read but a good one. Very well written. So much intrigue and danger in this one. The main character is an under-rated journalist, doing unexciting articles. The story is based in London. Tara has been working on a huge story. She's trying to uncover a huge corporation's corruption in the UK. They look like a legit company but they are anything legit. She's trying to get the proof she needs to out them for who they really are. She ends up putting herself and another journalist in life ending jeporady. Does she survive to get her story out? Read and find out. This story is really good. I highly recommend it. A must read that's a page turner.
