Laura was still legally fighting Charles, but through her lawyer. Noah went with her to NYC to see her attorney, Mr. Fletcher. He went through all the documents, no loop holes for Charles to claim. Laura and Noah enjoyed sightseeing together including a nice, romantic cozy Italian dinner to end their day

Charles showed up a short time later at her cabin claiming to sue her and get all he believes he's entitled to and thankfully the court threw out all of the claims and said it was 'closed', finished.

Laura is trying to write amongst all of this stress and was starting to relax when the original server of court from Chares. Laura believed it was him, Charles, suing again, but it isn't hm! It seems she has aother battle on her hands.

Laura has finally gotten all the paperwork together for her lawyer ensure her that her ex can’t get anything more from her regarding the sale of her apartment. Now days later Charles shows up at her cabin and insists that he can claim rights to her last publication of a book that she did! Once again she contacts her lawyer and he finds a way that says Charles has no rights! Laura finally thinks all is done. While celebrating the issue of her license for her B&B with Noah a knock on her door shows the same man who delivered her most recent summons. Now it seems the previous owners of the cabin claim that the property is theirs! Now what? Can she ever get a break & finally settle down?

Trouble and more trouble. Laura’s husband keeps turning up with frivolous demands…money from the sale of the apartment, revenue from her last book. Through it all Noah continues to support Laura. They celebrate the arrival of her business license. Laura is accepted into the community, working with a committee to raise funds for a local event. Unfortunately another lawsuit arrives, this time with people who lay claim to the cabin. Romance continues yes to blossom and Laura finds the motivation to resume writing

How will it end? Can Laura find happiness on Bryson Creek? Will she continue to have Noah’s support?

Onto book 3 of the Great Smoky Mountains series.

This book was basically the drama. It was different than its priors as Laura now has to face her past head on. She does well with her newfound strength. Something perhaps readers can relate to.

One thing I didn’t care for was the blatant difference between her past and present. I felt as though there were several stark comparisons. We have built this relationship with Noah over the first two books. Like Noah was written almost too perfectly.

The ending made me chuckle because I said out loud the same sentiment as our FMC, “how many times can this. Happen in a week?”Haha.
But the twist I did not expect in the slightest.

So much turmoil in this cozy mystery and I love it!!!! The hurdles Laura is facing due to her ex is overwhelming. Noah has been awesome and so supportive. Charles deserves the bad karma waiting for him for all the stress and ugliness he's brought and continues bringing to Laura. What is he up to now!!

Laura can't catch a break. First Charles sues her and now she may lose her cabin? Just as she is settling in and contributing to the town, another roadblock hits. I can't wait to see how this plays out. I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my honest review.

Cute read!
Laura is going through so much with her ex-husband, and now something is happening with her Airbnb. Hopefully she can catch a break soon! Noah is also super sweet to Laura, and will do anything to help her!

A sweet book but …

I find the writing a little too predictable. I enjoyed it! Wasn’t inspired to get the sequels, I’m not big into short books with a lot of sequels, it feels like I’ve read one book but got charged for 4 or 5!

Every book in this series gets better. Charles, Laura's ex just won't give up trying to ruin Laura. He just shows up at her cabin! I'm so glad Noah was there. Love Noah, he has been so supportive and reading the relationship between Laura and him is so refreshing. Just as things are starting to come together there is another roadblock for Laura. Can't wait to see how this will unfold.
