Henny and Coke
This was a pretty good novella but I felt some parts were missing. I would have liked to have seen more on page of Coke and Henny being together once he was released from prison. I liked that they developed a genuine friendship and connection and that he was down to ride with her through the good and bullsh*t. I also liked that Henny was such a genuine person and that she was loyal almost to fault. Now the arranged marriage portion of this book was very different from what I expected, but not surprising. This was a cute and easy read without a lot of drama and I would rate this 3.5 stars.

This book could have easily been 3 stars but there were “errors”. As someone who worked in a jail you can’t bring in any food to the inmates. That’s contraband and you’ll become an inmate yourself 🤣. G having a whole YouTube cancel and make up in jail isn’t even believable b/c it would have been taken. Also I predicted that plot twist. I did like Coke and Hennessi getting their HEA and Coke being able to let the guilt of his brother go for Shons death.

I love a feel good story and this is surely one!
Hennesi lived a lonely life but found love in the least likely place. It looks good on her too.

Henessi and Coke, these two were really love at first sight. This prison love story touched my heart. Henessi is the girl turned woman that knows all too well what loneliness feels like. She’s a teacher in the prison that Coke is in and they cross paths… only to fall in love and literally save each other. She was drowning in loneliness and he was drowning in self guilt. Henessi played the hand she was dealt like a queen and Coke showed her that he was not just her man but he was her Shotgun Rider.

The way this story started was interesting. The things Hennesi went with her husband and parents. This was a good read. I loved the story!

Something was missing from this story. I cant quite put my finger on it. It was a bit unrealistic even for Urban Fiction and the characters were a bit corny.

I'll Take This Henni and Coke
This book wasn't as predictable as I initially thought it would be, which made me like these characters and their storyline even more. Henni and Coke met in the most unconventional way and didn't get together right away. However, this wasn't a slow burn, so it didn't take long, and the way in which they grew together was satisfying. The work that Henni did was commendable as was the way that she handled Arden's legacy. I wasn't sure what to make of Arden initially and kept waiting for him to be mean to her. Thankfully, he was not. In fact, in his own way, he loved her and protected her from her triflin parents. Then entered Coke who was willing to protect her from everybody. Once he claimed her, she was his, the end. Overall, I liked the characters and their story. What I didn't like, however, was the constant use of the word "mines" instead of "mine" and some inconsistencies that irked me. First Yoson was dead for 5 years, then the next page it was 4 years. Then Mr Garrett's parole hearing was in a few weeks, and literally a few paragraphs down, it was a few months. Those things, while minor to some, altered my reading experience a bit because I am not an editor, and I shouldn't have to try to figure out what the author meant to say.

Sometimes the love of your life will find you in the most unlikely of places. Hennessi Bounds is our curvy FMC who is beautiful in every way,but unfortunately her parents viewed her existence as a bargaining tool to help propel them in their careers/paths. Leading to Hennesi being in an arranged marriage to a 40+ year old Arden, who is slated to be the Governor. Fast Forward Hennesi is working as a teacher in a prison when she meets Coke. A inmate who is finer than wine and she is immediately drawn to him. Hennesi is intrigued but she doesn't want to abuse her power as his teacher. This doesnt stop them from building a bond and finding out that they each are what each other needs.
When I tell yall I was like, now Hennessi lets not start hooking up with Coke while he’s in jail. We dont need you locked up too but the way Wynta wrote these characters had me attached. This book was pretty good to me.
I think that Henny and Coke was too cute! Their relationship developed quickly but it was their ‘one’ great love. It was exactly what Henny needed and deserved. She deserved love and she deserved to be cherished and I love her being family with his family instantly and them not acting funny with her.
I mean yes a lot of the stuff was unbelievable because when they do a search, they’d find the camera that Garret had and he wouldn’t have had an early parole hearing. And I know for a fact that makeup isn’t something that you have access to in prison, maybe you can buy it from canteen but he didn’t really have a family so who would be sending him money to get it.
But nevertheless, this was a good read and great romance.

Mannn idk if I would have the heart & balls of Hennesi! She stood on business & was about her business from day 1. I commend her husband for being upfront & honest & spoiling her through their arrangement! I knew something was up with her mother but I too thought she was just a drunk. She never cared about her daughter & it showed. Coke gave off THAT MAN from his first introduction. To know he held onto that hurt for so long was heartbreaking but with his lady he was able to see the full picture! I love that his family never turned their backs on him & his brother learned from his mistakes. This book had just enough drama & the love story was definitely there!

Hennesi and Coke!!!
Hennesi got into an arranged marriage that her parents thrust upon her. I loved the twist of Hennesi doing it on her own terms. After 4 years of being married to the governor, Hennesi met Coke while preparing prisoners for their degrees. Once they found each other, they didn't allow anyone or anything to come between them. I was wondering why Hennesi was moving like she was with Coke, but I wasn't expecting the secret that was revealed. Hennesi went through a lot especially with her trash parents. In the end, they proved to be more messy than I expected. This was an enjoyable story that I recommend that you read.

Loved It
A great story, especially highlighting the judicial system and how they're able to misuse their power! Everyone that's in prison isn't necessarily a "criminal" their circumstances should be considered! I really enjoyed how Henni took pride and interest working with the inmates to gain their degrees! Coke is just who Henni needed n in her life, their connection was strong and I love how they were able to connect. The family dynamics was a sad place for Henni, her parents weren't capable not being parents, where as you have Coke family tight, loving and caring!

This was a great read...
Henni and coke definitely a cute story. Loved the dynamic and how love was shown through multiple different aspects. Coke is definitely my type of n***** like, he was sweet, gentle but could still dead a bitch. Loved how caring henni was, especially towards Garrett, I like that her and her deceased husband though not in love had a cordial relationship up till his passing. They cared for one another in their own way. Henni mom and dad suck. But yeah def loved this lil novella 💜💜

Great standalone
I love a good urban romance, and this book delivered for the most part. I would love a spinoff about Garrett's, and even one about Arden back in the day. Without giving any spoilers, this book ended beautifully. There were a few things that came off as random since there was no back story, but I enjoyed it overall. I was hoping for some old cases to be opened up on Henny's dad since he seems corrupt, and I just kept feeling like something was missing while reading. Overall, I recommend this book.

This was my first read from Wynta Tyme and I enjoyed it!
Henny being trapped in this marriage was so sad! Like a 20 yr age gap is crazy!
I hate crappy parents
The fact that she had to experience alt of first with coke was so sweet, I know she was going to fall hard I. Love!
The birthday surprise was so cuteeeeee!
Coke really did adore Henny!
Overall I think this was a really good read that isn’t to heavy!

Short good read
This one of them books that I wish could have been longer. I enjoyed it anyways. I love an arranged marriage. This one was different bc she wasn’t physically attracted to this man and she didn’t have to do have relations with her. The man she married lived a double life. While she was working she met Coke who was an inmate he was the one who made her feel special, protected, and not alone.

Good read!
“The Henny to my Coke” was quite a read. Some of the prison scenes and stories wet unbelievable, but we are talking about fiction here. Henny definitely needed real love in her life because she didn’t get it from her parents. Although the governor loved her, he couldn’t give her the love she required. In walked Coke into the jail and that’s all that it took. They deserved their happily ever after.

The book was a good read in my opinion. A black family with an arranged marriage. It had me very interested in how this all came about. I have to admit I thought I was gonna be dry but when Coke came on scene things got interesting. I love how the two characters lives played out separately and totally different worlds but when they got together, they made it work. The ending was good. It was a happy ending, but a sad ending

I love me some Coke. He came into Hennesi's life and enhanced it beyond measure. He stood in her corner and made sure she was okay at all times. Hennesi's parents are trash, especially her mother. The secrets that were revealed about her marriage and husband had me shocked. The love between Coke and Hennesi was soft and beautiful. I want me a Coke for myself cause that is a good man right there.

If you like an author that creates fun and crazy names for their characters, this is the author to read. I love the way that she names her characters. This book is about a girl that deserves to be loved in the proper way and coke comes along and shows Hennessey and she is supposed to be loved

You're the Coke to my Henny😉😉
Read this in one sitting, there were ALOT of surprises. I loved how Hennesi stood by her husband until the end. If you have not read this you're missing out, this is a short story with a big punch. Kudos to the author👏🏾👏🏾. So much more I would like to say but I don't want to be a spoiler. Just buy the book😜😜

Beautiful short story
This was a beautiful short story. Absolute loved Hennessy as a character. Her personality and the love that she shows throughout the story is just beautiful. I absolutely adored Coke and how he felt so comfortable with Hennessy. Watching their relationship grow was everything. Definitely recommend and I can’t wait to read her other books.

Sweet and Loving
Henni and Coke love story was great! I love Henni passion and care for the inmates she was teaching, and even for Arden. Now Henni Mom got exactly what she deserved for being so shady. This is not a “typical” urban/hood romance and has somewhat of slow burn in the middle of the story. But all in all you will love it and enjoy this couple.
