Samhain

Rate this book
Samhain is a Fantasy for young adults and adults alike. It is a story of Brian CuCullen and his two sons, Liam, who is possibly the next Merlin and Kieran the next Arthur. It begins in Maine where Liam and Kieran are told by their father it is time to go to Samhain, of which they had never heard of before. While Liam is excited, Kieran argues with his father and reluctantly goes. When they get there they are in disbelief of its magical powers, and of Mallory, the old man, who is the headmaster of the school.

Samhain is a school that trains young conjurers and warriors to fight the evil Illumanatii. Samhain is home to the Bene Lumen founded by Merlin centuries ago, and it is where Liam and Kieran find their true identity. It is also a story of how Brian, their father, finds purpose and love again. The story is rich with fantasy characters, demons, and a vampire with a soul named, Caleb Keane.

John R. McCormick was born in South Boston, MA, and has lived in various parts of the US before landing in Martin, TN with his wife and son. He is proud of his 'writers' lineage, as he is a distant relative to Liam O'Flaherty, who happens to also have been related to the famous filmmaker, John Ford. He is comfortable in a variety of genres, including Crime Fiction, Urban Fantasy, Detective, and Historical Westerns. He recently did a podcast interview with Mark Tierno of MALDENE website, in regards to his fantasy stories, "In The Shadow Of Evil," and "Hot Jazz & Cold Bodies in NOLA."

I am currently writing a detective story set in Maine.
