During the chaos of World War I, a renegade Soviet scientist defies nature, splicing together the DNA of a mosasaurus and a plesiosaurus to create a terrifying hybrid. Immune to extreme temperatures and disease, this ultimate predator is a force of destruction. On the run from his own government, the scientist releases the monstrous creation into the depths of Loch Ness, where it vanishes into legend.
Years later, Jesse Robins inherits a small fortune from a relative in Scotland and is tasked with hunting down the creature before it wreaks havoc on the fragile ecosystem.
Venturing into the murky waters of Loch Ness, Jesse faces a creature unlike any other, a beast that has evolved into a living nightmare.
The hunt for the Loch Ness Monster is on, and the stakes have never been higher.

He travels to Scotland for an inheritance. He must kill the monster of the Loch to get all the inheritance. What an action adventure has he attempts to kill the monster.
I would recommend this novella and author to readers of family and friends fantasy world 🌎 adventure thriller novels 🏙😎 2024 👒😉
This is a unique look at the Loch Ness legend. The monster is pretty scary and the hero and heroine are very likable. Lots of action and cool AI stuff. A really good read.
Not well researched and lazy with the animal behaviors, it is a group of mad Russian scientists that cobble together dna from different species to make a super predator. Of course, it s done in 1917, long before dna and splicing were scientifically possible. Not only that, history was incorrect with the Bolshevik revolution. A little more time, a little more plausible; this work would have been more palatable
This was a nice creature feature story. The main character was likeable and had few problems to deal with. The plot point that the Loch Ness Monster was introduced to the Loch was interesting. The lesser characters in the book were pretty good. The AI was just a fun addition to the story. So this was a good Halloween read just the right amount of scares and thrills.
Lucas is one of the best monster book authors ever. He is one of my top favorites. This one is a great take on the Loch Ness Monster, how it started and what’s become of her. Keeps you on the edge of your seat and just enough scare to keep you reading. Brilliant book
This is nothing special. It was as entertaining as a Loch Ness book can be, but that's not a big compliment. Only certain authors can write this genre that stand out. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them. I enjoyed the book somewhat, but it was also stupid. If you're going to read it, know its stupid but at least somewhat entertaining.
A good book. It addressed an old legend with sensitivity. There were several twists and turns which added to the drama. There was also a lot of humor. Really enjoyed reading this book. Loved the ending.
Jesse Robins receives an inheritance from an unknown relative in Scotland, to get more he is tasked with finding and killing the Nessie. As the fight begins, Jesse realises it is going to be a hard task, as Nessie proves a cunning and resourceful prey.
Sometimes, you CAN judge a book by its cover. When I saw the art for this book, my first thought was, “Do I really want someone to kill the Loch Ness monster?” But I read it anyway. It was part JAWS, part Edgar Rice Burroughs’ LAND THAT TIME FORGOT. Great characters, a fun plot, lots of twists, and an ending I wasn’t expecting. Well written. Lucas has a lot of books available, and this will NOT be my last. Keep up the good work!
