My friend gave me this book because the dedication had my name in it, and I had never seen my name in a book before. (Even if it was just the dedication.) I held onto it for years never reading it, not knowing what it was about. I finally read this year, going in completely blind. I did not expect magical realism and the realities of dealing with the aftermath of disaster. This book had friendship, emotions, and just a bit of magic. It's perfect for a elementary or middle grade reader who feel just a little bit different.

I feel that the plot of this book was messy and quickly paced, though that’s not exactly a flaw. I cried every few chapters, and couldn’t put it down. The messiness of the events could be deemed as a mistake or a style, I like to relate it to the collage based art work on the cover. I enjoyed this book!

Great book with an interesting concept. I related a lot to Molly, being someone who has struggled with making new friends in school or any type of event that involves socializing. Being a declared wallflower, I also relate to Chrys. I love this story and I definitely hate that it's so underrated.

the theme of this book is that to show who you are, treat people the way you wanted to be treated and don't hide the talent. Chyrs and Molly both meet each other and they have a secret that they won't tell anyone. Everyone in the school believes that Chyrs is a weird and dirty guy because he wears a ratty trench coat everyday to school, but Molly becomes friends with him and don't think he is weird. Chyrs values people that are nice and not bullying others. Molly values people that are weird, nice, and help others.

the theme of this book is basically to not be afraid of who you are and don't judge others. molly and chrys are both hiding something that they dont want others to know about. they values of these characters show the theme because they both reveal their true colors and end up becoming good friends.

Beautiful book. Jeffrey Lee does a great job portraying the struggles of both Molly and Chris, and their coming together to overcome these hardships. Strengthening their friendship in the process. Would recommend to many friends of mine.

A very quick, easy read with an unexpected twist that tested my suspension of disbelief. Despite that, a book worth taking the time to read.

A nice quick read. It began as realistic fiction, but definitely contains science fiction aspects. I enjoyed it.
