The Constable: Saint Code

Rate this book
When a woman is murdered by a vampire, St. Augustina must become the Constable.

St. Augustina’s tenure as the new constable of the Magic Guild Guard is not going well. The office staff quit in protest on her first day, the community regards her with suspicion, and now she has a vampire murder to solve–except no one will acknowledge her jurisdiction.

Not an auspicious start for the cyber-augmented former spy.

It’s going to take a lot of work to prove she is the right person for the job. They may not want her, but she knows they need her, especially if she is going to solve this murder.

As the clues emerge, seeming to lead back to the Magic Guild Guard, it seems a larger conspiracy may be in play. With the only person willing to help her implicated in the crime, St. Augustina knows that if she doesn't get to the bottom of the mystery soon, everyone in the Magic Guild, not to mention the entire Magic Community, may be in danger.
