Death has haunted Toby Erickson in recent years, figuratively speaking. Now, it will haunt him in a literal sense.
The single father of three returns to Kansas, where his roots run deep, after inheriting a neglected movie theater from his departed grandfather. When he embarks upon a remodel of the theater, he uncovers a dark secret hidden in the walls of the theater. A 16mm film reel containing the gruesome scene of a double murder. It’s obviously an amateur director practicing his craft or so Toby thinks. An entity inside the theater threatens his family’s safety, forcing him to face the truth. There is a darkness present that is supernatural in origin, and it is forged to the reel in his possession. A supernatural presence isn’t the only threat to Toby and his family. The human monster responsible for the darkness is still on the prowl, and it is growing hungry.
