Lana lives in Perth, Western Australia and loves writing Paranormal/ Fantasy and Sci-fi Romance. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her creating art and designing book covers. She also fights evil by moonlight, wins love by daylight and never runs from a real fight.
This is an omnibus of the first 3 books in the Fae Guardians Series. It's all about the Wolf-shifter Guardians. Can I just say that this wild ride kept me on the edge of my seat (especially book 1 & 3)? These were really good to listen to on audiobook.
Book 1 - The Longing of the Lone Wolves - Starts us off right! The human race is practically gone after a Nuclear Winter. Clarke wakes up after two thousand years in Elphyne. No longer is she in Vegas! All of the modern conveniences are gone, and anything plastic or metal will block the fae's magic from the Well (their magic-giving all-powerful thing). All of the typical fae archetypes are there, shifters, vampires, elves, seelie, unseelie, etc. And of course, Clarke is found by a Wolf-pack. She's rescued by Rush, but Rush is cursed and can only be seen by Clarke. The journey in this book is about breaking the curse before Rush is drained of his life force by the curse's magic. Can they do it?!
Book 2 - The Solace of Sharp Claws: There are more humans waking up and they want to reclaim the land from the Fae. Clarke, Rush, and Rush's son Thorne, venture out to find the next human well-blessed to wake, Laurel. A good friend of Clarke's. Upon awakening, Thorne and Laurel are immediately connected with a well-blessed mate bond. Basically, she wakes up married. They are both lone wolves in their own rights, stubborn, defiant, and want nothing to do with love. They're perfect for each other! Both of them must deal with their version of PTSD from life to find love and emerge from the pits of their own hell. Oh, and find Thorne's mentor while beating back the humans and their allies to save the world again. No big deal, right?
Book 3 - The Dreams of Broken Kings: The third musketeer in Clarke's trio, Ada, was found. But she won't wake up. Not until Jasper is coerced into kidnapping her by Clarke's daughter. Jasper lost his memories and his curse is eating away at his mana. Eventually, Ada wakes by Jasper's kiss. The two are also well-blessed, but Ada was always abandoned and refuses to accept it. To survive and break Jasper's curse, they must learn to trust each other. They begin to trust and love, until the curse is broken and Jasper screws it all up.
The next book is the Secrets in Shadow and Blood, the first of the Seasons of the Vampire Trilogy. The Guardians are still working to save the world from another Nuclear Apocalypse. There's likely going to be 12 books in all, but currently 9 are published.
So this is actually 3 books in one, and I just gotta say I loved them all!! Each book focuses on a different couple within the same main storyline. Each couple has their own smaller story and they don't necessarily follow the same formula, which I really appreciated. There's going to be similarities between the main characters in each book because of timelines and species of fae etc etc but you can definitely tell that each individual character and pairing has their own personality, highs and lows, and little quirks. I 100000% think this series should have ACOTAR popularity AT LEAST.
The first 2 books were 5 stars. The novella needed more, but was fine. Jasper? Ew. Im not even sure if I want to continue with the vampires. Jasper was hurt, yes. But he was unlikeable before that. Making him a coward that ran and hid over every little thing did not improve his character. So 4 stars overall, because of Rush and Thorne.
The Fae Guardians Series by Lana Pecherczyk is a bit of a post-apocalyptic epic fantasy where the world had been destroyed by humans, and the Fae came in and rebuilt it. Now, thousands of years later humans and fae are at war over only habitable land left on Earth. But things aren’t what they seem, there are sinister agendas in play which threaten to destroy everything. We follow along and meet the Fae Guardians, who are in the midst of it all. With high stakes, the fate of the world rests on their shoulders, making for spellbinding reading. Each instalment could be read as a standalone as each focuses on a separate couple. But having said that, there is a bridging storyline, that is building a bigger picture- so I highly recommend reading the entire series, in sequence, for the optimum reading experience. With fae, shifters, vampires, elves, witches, magic, time travel, action, adventure, curses, agendas, monster hunting, quests, drama, danger, angst, intrigue, mystery, emotion, good vs evil, chemistry, sizzle, tension, a ruthless ‘Order’, enemies to lovers, fated mates, secrets, lies, and much more – all kept me flipping the pages to discover how everything plays out in the end. Ms. Pecherczyk wove some magic of her own, casting vivid world-building spells that really made everything come to life. The characters also got a lot of attention, being fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. I love meeting each couple, connecting with them, and following them on their adventures. I also appreciated the bigger picture that became more focused as the series progressed. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a well-woven fantasy-adventure- especially with plenty of sizzle. The ‘Fae Guardian’ series is made up of three trilogies- ‘Season of the Wolf’, ‘Season of the Vampire’, and ‘Season of the Elf’- -The Longing of Lone Wolves (Book #1) -> Rush and Clarke’s story -The Solace of Sharp Claws (Book #2) -> Thorne and Laurel’s story -Of Kisses and Wishes (Book #2.5) -> Caraway and Anise’s story -The Dreams of Broken Kings (Book #3) -> Jasper and Ada’s story -The Secrets In Shadow and Blood (Book #4) -> Indigo and Violet’s story -A Labyrinth of Fangs and Thorns (Book #5) -> Haze and Peach’s Story -A Symphony of Savage Hearts (Book #6) -> Shade and Silver’s story -A Song of Sky and Sacrifice (Book #7) -> Forrest and Melody’s story -A Crown of Cruel Lies (Book #8) -> Aeron and Trix’s story - A War of Reckoning (Book #9) -> Leaf and Nova’s story Well worth the read! Happy Reading…
Boy oh boy... what a read!!! It's been a long time since I binge read something but this had me turning the pages late into the night/early morning. I got sucked into each of the characters and so very invested in their stories... get ready to be sucked into the Fae Guardians saga... it's such an amazing ride!
I really enjoyed Lana’s writing. I was thrown into a world of fae hotties and binged these like crazy! Each has their own story but ties in together so you still feel like an on going plot woven together by different characters. Perfect length, I HIGHLY recommend picking up Fae Guardians!
These books are so easy to read and understand. The worldbuilding amazing. Romance on point. And I hope she comes out with the omnibus of the others season soon so I can read those to.
