A re-read for me because I loved it so much the first few times
I have read this book a few times now. It won’t be my last read either.
Fiona starts out as a spoiled, immature rich girl who is definitely not someone I would spend my time with. She and Clay are polar opposites. Clay is a middle class, down-to-earth guy who finds himself with the opportunity to solve some of his problems via an arranged marriage.
I applaud Clay’s ability to handle the out-of-control Fiona and the situations she creates. Despite their differences, their chemistry is strong from the start. The pace of the story was steady, never feeling drawn out. Fairly clean steam (if that makes sense lol)
This book has it all. Clay was a troubled teen who went to the service only to return as a Texas ranger to run the family ranch. He then marries a rich virgin. Gotta love cowboys
