I do not think Forres Manor is haunted. The ancestral Scottish home my ailing aunt manages is dark, solitary, and falling into ruin, but as a man of science I cannot support her notions that a ghostly woman dwells upstairs. My only aim is to give medical assistance to my aunt. But here, the vicious past melds into the present. Perhaps I'm running from ghosts too.
Read this Macbeth-inspired story if you like sleepwalking ghosts, unreliable characters, and gothic horror.
I still am not quite sure what just happened... it was creepy and I had to begin reading it in the morning so I was good and finished in plenty of time before bed... I would not read this close to night time but I am not a big horror/scray movie person. So, if you are you will be just fine reading this whenever you want.
Quick read and I love that it left some room for interpretation. I buddy read this with my wife one night and we had fun talking about it as we pushed through.
