GOSH THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD! It has slow moments buts after it picks back up again the tension and chemistry is HEATED!! I love dark romances like this so much!! Gosh one of my favorite reads!
Wreck Me is the 2nd book in the Corrupt Legacy series. I liked the first book, but I loved this one so much more. Dane was absolutely everything, and I loved him! I couldn't put this book down and finished it in a day. Bianca Borell's writing always sucks me in, and I was immediately invested in this couple. I do recommend reading the first book. Otherwise, you may be confused by a lot of the action going down in the last half of the book. This book takes us back to the events of the first book, but it is from Dane and Abigail's POV.
Abigail was forced into a relationship and future engagement with the hero from the first book by The Family. She is seen as nothing but a pretty face meant to be a wife, even though she is very smart. She meets the new "bad boy" Dane when he is forced to go to her school as a sort of rehab for his bad behavior. He is an F1 race car driver, but he struggles with demons and has shown some self-destructive behavior. Abi tries to keep him at a distance, but they have an instant connection, and Dane always goes after what he wants. They really connect on a deeper level and see the real person behind the facade they show the rest of the world. However, Abi has to keep their relationship a secret, or The Family will come after him. Things take a turn when The Family discovers their relationship, and Abi is forced to make a sacrifice. Dane has returned a couple of years later and is determined to get his woman back.
Abi had been through so much, and she was such a survivor. I loved how Dane was so protective of her and worshipped her when she never really had love from her own family.
Dane was everything in this book! This boy is obsessed with his woman, and he is so sweet. I really loved his character and how determined he was to be with Abi. He even pulls a Notebook move and buys her dream house for her....swoon. They really felt like true soul mates. It was so angsty, and I was dying for Abi to just tell Dane the truth already!
I am so excited for Blake and Mia's romance next!

This is book 2 in the Corrupt Legacy Series by the incredible Bianca Borell, and it's better than the first! and the first book, Love Me, was amazing.
You can read this as a standalone, but I would highly recommend that you read Book 1 first, so that you can really have an appreciation for Kaden and Celine's story, as it's important.
Abigail Voss is the child of one of the 5 families that run secret society that is not only rich, but incredibly toxic and dangerous. From an early age, she was told, groomed and taught that her life is not her's to live, but rather to pledge her loyalty to "The Family" and serve their needs. "I plaster on my mask. I am Abigail Voss. And no one will ever peer behind it and see there’s nothing inside of me but empty wishes, shattered dreams, and unrealistic desires."
Enter Dane, he is the new bad boy at their highschool, sent there to "rehab" himself. the youngest F1 champion ever has made some incredibly reckless mistakes that, if he doesn't make some changes, he will lose everything before he knows it. Abigail sees him and recognizes immediately that he is might just be the most dangerous yet deliscious thing to happen to her life -
“You reek of rebellion, poor decisions, and not giving a fuck.”
Dane sees through her: "Under the icy facade is a dormant volcano, and I want her to erupt...If I can’t make my own chaos, at least I can unleash hers."
This is an intense love story that spans over the course of a few months in their senior year of high school and then two years later, while at college.
The story is intense, full of self-discovery, passion, love, and sacrifice. These are two young adults that have had life experiences that have them growing up fast and needing to make tough decisions.
Dane and Abigail have personal demons that would scare away most people, however they find peace in each other. they are each the calm to the other's storm. Their love story truly is selfless and passionate.
Wreck Me is the second book in the Corrupt Legacy series and it’s even better than the first. The story revolves around the intense and passionate love between Abigail and Dane, who find themselves entangled in a dangerous family legacy.
Dane, a rebellious F1 racecar driver, is sent off to a boarding school due to his bad behavior. Despite his volatile nature, his unwavering love for Abigail is both heartwarming and heart-wrenching. His willingness to be vulnerable and open about his emotions is truly touching.
Abigail, constrained by her family’s sinister legacy, guards deep secrets to shield Dane from their wrath. Raised to adhere to her family’s oppressive traditions, her normal response to outsiders is disdain and aloofness, but Dane breaks down all her walls showing her the true meaning of love that she had never experienced before.
Both Abigail and Dane are survivors in their own right. Dane’s affectionate and poetic nature is a stark contrast to Abigail’s life of neglect and pain. However, as she finally discloses her long-guarded secret to Dane, it becomes evident that they are destined to find the happiness they both deserve.
I was completely engrossed in this book, and I am eagerly anticipating the next installment centered around Blake. It seems like he carries a heavy emotional burden that only Mia can alleviate.
This book is an emotionally charged and compelling novel that delves deep into the complexities of love, sacrifice, and resilience. Whether you are a fan of the series or new to dark romances, this book promises an enthralling and unforgettable reading experience.
Thank you to Ms. Borell for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
And just like that, I devoured the second book in this series in a matter of hours. Since the first book, Abigail has been a character who intrigued me—her behavior toward others was puzzling, even though we gradually learn the reasons behind her actions. I couldn’t wait to read her perspective, to better understand her and uncover more about her story.
I really enjoyed watching her walls come down one by one, thanks to Dane. In the first book, she seemed to be just a "mean girl," driven by jealousy. But as we get to know her, we see that Abigail is much more complex than that. She’s a young woman constantly hurt by her parents, who impose endless expectations on her simply because she’s a woman. Despite having to lose herself to please others, she does so without hesitation, sacrificing much for those close to her.
Now that Dane is in her life, she can finally start living more freely. I loved the dynamic between them. Dane tries everything to forget her, even to make her jealous and cause her pain, but deep down, he’s still in love with her. Their relationship is beautiful and sincere, and it’s clear they’re meant for each other.
I also appreciated how Bianca Borell addressed anorexia and the societal pressures on women to have the "perfect" body. The depiction was sensitive and impactful, adding another layer of depth to the story.
I can’t wait to read the next book and learn more about the other characters, especially Bailey and Hunter.
This is a dark, forbidden, secret relationship, college romance, with an obsessive MMC who also is a Race Car Driver.
And I ate this book up, The Plot, The Spice, The Worldbuilding, The Secrets and The Tension! I couldn’t put it down I had to know what was going to happen next. You will never know what's coming or whether they will be together until everything falls into place. This was a new to me author, and I can’t wait to read more!
Abigail has always done what is expected from her, going above and beyond for just the hope that her parents might notice. She has played the part of perfection for the Family. She fully expects to live her entire life without love, without passion, and without choices. Until she meets Dane. And suddenly her world is lit up in all the colors! She knows she can't keep him, but she's going to love as hard as she can for just a little while.
Dane has always lived in the shadow of his famous father, all his good but mostly the bad. He believes his destiny is destruction until he meets Abbi. Now he has someone to live for, someone to strive for, someone to love. But she is promised to someone else.
Years later, their paths cross again, completely on purpose. He's back to win his love or lose his heart completely. And their love will set the world on fire.
So much angst, so much passion, all exploding off the page.
Oh gosh, this was so good! This is book in the series and I recommend reading book one first to better understand The Family.
This book is about Abigail and Dane. The bad boy and good girl. Abigail is stuck having to live a lie in order to please The Family and hierarchy. Dane is a race car driver and suffers from his demons. After self destructing, he is sent away to school on the other side of the country. When Abigail and Dane’s eyes first meet it is all over for them. But he is forced to only have bits and pieces of her.
This was angsty and beautiful. Their love is true and raw and perfect; the epitome of soulmates. Dane is just perfect too. Not too cocky, or alpha, but just the right amount manly who would do what it takes for Abigail.
I love the characters, setting and storyline of this series and can’t wait for more!
This series has me hooked! The chemistry between Abigail and Dane is off the charts, their love is forb!dden because “the family” has said so. They have standards to uphold and her feelings do not warrant their consideration. But we soon learn Abi has sass, she’s super smart and can’t deny her feelings for Dane.
Wreck Me is the second book in the Corrupt Legacy Series. Dane and Abigail’s story was filled with angst, high heat, tension and so much more. They both had obstacles in their path and secrets that unfold as we read.
AMAZING READ! Bianca hits this one right out of the park and is on my forever reread book recommendations. I can’t wait for book 3 in this series!! ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️
Abigail and Dane are the kind of love the stars aligned with as perfect. Madness makes you do whatever is necessary to hang on to a chance to have real love. All the secrets and twists were a great ride. The heartbreak and torment had me crying, and their love made me smile. This was a fabulous book.
I thought the 1st book broke me but this one was just as heartbreaking. Their legacy is just as corrupt. I like that we get the POV from the other side from the time Celine left and came back. We know about the Corrupt Legacy and the barbaric rituals from book one. Yet it still hurt reading what Abigail was going through. I was intrigued by Abi's and Dane's story from when we met them in Book 1. We already know Abi and Kaden are forced to be a couple and soon to be married and leaders. We see how broke Abi was until she met Dane the new bad boy. Unfortunately that was her lifeline and her downfall at the same time. Weakness leads to torture. She needs to push him away but he is just as stubborn and wins her bit by bit. Actually he barrels into her life and refuses to leave. I loved Dane *swoon. He comes across as the bad boy but has the best heart. He is struggling with Bi polar and fears he will follow his fathers steps. But one lol at Abi and he finds his peace. Knowing she is with Kaden enrages him but he can't stay away. He will accept whatever she gives just so he can win her eventually. Gosh these two broke my heart over and over again. The things Abi went through was hard to read. 💔. But to save him she has to break both of their hearts. Then we are brought to 2 years later. Abi is a shell of herself until Dane returns. He comes to finally get rid of his feelings for her but that's never going to happen. The spice is hot as lava!! All I will say his be prepared to be wrecked and loved at the same time. I loved seeing more of the other characters and what their dynamics is. I really can't wait for their stories. Another thrilling, breathtaking and emotional roller coaster ride with found family and soooooo much love. Dane's love is honestly on another level. The things that man says will just melt you away.
"Spending time with you is my pleasure. Experiencing stuff together is my honor. Being together with you is my privilege.”
Their life had been mapped out for them. They had no control. It had been decided. She was to marry Kaden. Her best friend, but not the one she loved. She wasn't even the one he loved, but they had no choice but to be together. They both knew what happened when you didn't do exactly what was required.
The squeal of the wheels coming into the student parking lot had them turning, and Abigail watched in horror as Dane stepped out of the car. Just as Kaden had to renounce Celine, she had to renounce Dane. The unspeakable torture that they put her through so she would renounce him and be initiated into the Family.
Dane had been a danger to himself and sent to the other side of the country with the threat of getting it together or losing his Formula One career forever. But finding out his parents had lied to him for the past ten years had pushed him to no longer care... until he met Abigail.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This series is intended to be read in order. I love how these parallel stories meld together with conversations from the other characters giving you a separate POV from the previous books conversation.
Each of the heirs has their own horror story about their forced initiation into the Family and their bond to protect each other. Abigail and Dane's story intertwines with the love story of Kaden and Celine's... being together in secret as they plan their escape from their demented Family.
This book is action-packed, smoking hot and full of twisted danger. Highly recommend this series!
Bianca Borell has a way with words! This book had me in it's grip from the beginning. Abigail and Danes story follows Celine and Kaden's story so there is this overlap that as you read, you think, Oh that's right, that is how it goes......But to actually get Abigail's POV definitely has it's place and was a story that needed to be told. When she accepts her role within the family, it doesn't mean Abigail is happy with her life. Celine is gone, Kaden is a wreck and when she sees Dane for the first time at their school, all bets are off. This is a dark forbidden romance as Abigail tries but fails to meet her obligations for the family, but she just cannot resist the forbidden. Dane, damaged too by his past cannot keep away from Abigail, but when it all falls apart he vows never to give his heart to another. Second chances sometimes are a good thing, and sometimes not! Abigail suffered badly just to set Dane free and keep him safe from her two uncles, but when he returns all the old feelings that they had both hidden and tried to forget, came back with a destructive bang! Not wanting to give too much of the story away, this book holds you captive. I could not put it down and found myself still reading into the wee hours of the morning. Make time for this amazing story as you too will not want to put it down! 5 stars and nothing less for this great story that leaves you breathless
Abigail & Dane story finally here and we got teases about their relationship in Love Me book 1
“Fear can be good. It’s life’s compass, sweetheart. But I assure you, this is not a dream.”
2 years ago Abigail accept her forced engagement to Kaden & planning to escape. Dane lost everything from a leaked video of him illegal street racing & winning HOWEVER he lost his chance to race pro. Both given a path that they both didn't want but can they the fight the choices that's been forced on them...no spoilers
I thought Kaden & Celine had a tense love story until I read Abigail & Dane's love story. There story goes alongside Kaden & Celine's. We see why Dane so much I into Abigail and all that teaser in book 1 FINALLY makes sense
Their is more banter 1 liners with Dane & Abigail especially when Tequila is Dane's main hero to help lossen his girls lips and finally gets her to talk to him
"Tequila, I will fucking raise a statue in your honor."
Abigail is more stressed to protect Dane because he has no idea who the family is and how Grandmother controls their lives. He knows their more to her best friends that are like family to her but he wants to understand her world & more importantly protector her....no spoilers
Action, suspense, tense love story & embraces Fates curves balls because they can lead you to something great & magical
This author was new to me, but I liked the blurb and the whole forbidden aspect to this story. Abigail is part of a family and expected to act a certain way. She has her life planned out for her, and after what happened with Kaden and Celine, she is to be with Kaden and rule the family. This is all good until she meets Dane. The connection is intense, and so is their relationship. They have to be careful of wandering eyes at all times. She has secrets as well as the others who live with her. Dane crashes her plans and opens her eyes to what truly could be hers if she fought for it. I will say I haven't read about a man quite like Dane in a long while. He's a racer, and after a stupid night, he is sent away to rethink his choices and life. He didn't expect to find his soulmate along the way, but it happened. Now, back to Dane and why he's different. When it comes to Abigai, he is a man obsessed. He knows without a shadow of a doubt that she's his and only his. He tries whatever to get her to see it. She can't fully commit to him though..this is when things get good. This book will keep you captived throughout the entire book! You will never know what's coming or whether they will be together until everything falls into place. I absolutely loved everything about this book and need to read more by this author!! I'm hooked!!
OH SWEET SIGH. I continue to bask in my Author Bianca Borell era, binging this author’s books like they’re my air to breathe. To even say that Wreck Me is phenomenal and superbly-written isn’t even enough … as it was both nothing and everything I expected and more. This secret society-meets race car driver romance stole my breath and every beat of my heart. I fell so hard and so fast for Abigail and Dane.
Wreck Me is the heart-thrashing tale of a tarnished hero and a trapped heroine, two souls tethered together as they break and burn. Formula One race car driver, Dane, is all alpha with a dirty mouth, protective persona and huge heart—a hero who will bring you to your knees—my undoing. The college student and artist, Abigail, is beautiful and feisty who fights hard and loves even harder.
Broken sees broken. Like sees like. Real sees real. My heart shattered and soared for these broken soulmates who become whole together. I could instantly feel the deep connection of these characters. Their chemistry blazes and burns, so energizing and enticing, a pulse that pounds the pages.
I loved this shatteringly stunning, soulful story of sacrifice threaded with indestructible love that touches on tough topics while bringing all the feels. This unputdownable romance sank into my soul as its pendulum-like push and pull annihilated me! My emotions were on edge. The intensity … the angst … the heartbreak … the hard-fought love … I was wonderfully wrecked … done for! Wreck Me, yes it did.
I was absorbed from the start with Wreck Me, the second book in the Corrupt Legacy which told the story of Dane and Abigail, and the darkly, intense love between two damaged teenagers who couldn’t keep away from each other even as they deliberately inflicted pain and hurt the other leading to several encounters fuelled equally by lust and hate. Both had issues, Dane was bipolar and while the controlled Abi had an eating disorder.
Running concurrently with the first book in the Corrupt Legacy series, Wreck Me spanned several years covering Dane and Abi’s first meeting at school and then their reunion two years later when Dane enrols at the same college unaware of the sacrifices Abi had made to keep him safe from her dangerous family. For her nothing had changed, she still loved him but as long as her family controlled her life, she couldn’t risk putting him in danger. Dark and gritty, intense, and lustful, angst and pain with secrets, lies, betrayals and revenge, told from dual points of view, this story takes all the characters and not just the hero and heroine on an emotional and brutal rollercoaster. I still have so many questions about the family and can’t wait for the next book in this gripping series.
Wreck Me is book two of the Corrupt Legacy Series.
Boy was this an emotional rollercoaster of a read. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. There were secrets being kept everywhere you looked. I was trying to figure out some of the answers to my questions but you just had to keep reading to get them resolved. Reader note: this is the second book in the series, where I did not read the first. If I had maybe I wouldn't have had as many questions.
There was so much heartbreak between these two but I was rooting for them to solve the problems and get together for the long term. I was glad Dane was able to put aside any of the hurt he had and fight for their love. Without his resolve in this, I don't think any of them would've been successful in their plans. This tight knit group of individuals really worked well together when the secrets were finally out in the open. Sometimes you have to take the risk and trust those around you for help.
I really enjoyed this story. I couldn't put the book down. It was a great read.
WRECK ME ; Book 2 in The Corruptt Legacy Series By Bianca Borell Speechless, yelling outta complete frustration, glued to the edge of my seat anticipating what was to come from one second to the next , smiling, sobbing, laughing and rooting so freaking hard . After reading the first book in this absolutely amazing series i honestly did not think anything could outdo that . Well Wreck Me ( what a fitting title because I was Wrecked in ways I never even imagined and then put right back together . Abigail and Dana really were everything together they literally just grabbed onto my heart so tightly and refused to let go . The chemistry between them phew do sparks fly every single time their around each other - you can literally feel the steam coming right off the pages . Add into that the suspense, the intrigue, the drama , the angst , the witty banter , the tragedy, the love , the passion, the secrets ,, the secret society’s - what a emotional rollercoaster I can promise will keep you up reading well into the early morning hours .🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥
Wreak Me is the second book in the Corrupt Legacy series. It's best if you read the first book in the series before reading this one as it jumps back in time and then follows the same timeline as book 1.
Abigail has always known what her life was going to look like due to her families obligations and has no choice but to fall in line until she and the others are able to break away. Abigail was totally committed to following through with the plan until she meets Dane and then for the first time, she decides to allow herself to enjoy something that's just for her. Dane is the typical bad boy with a chip on his shoulder and Abigail may be just what he needs to learn to accept himself and move forward.
The first half of the book takes place two years before book 1 and shows how both Abigail and Dane fee=ll fast and hard for each other but in order to keep Dane safe, Abigail pushes him away. The story then picks up with Dane returning to take classes at the same University as Abigail, Kaden, Bailey and Blake. Old feelings flare up but nothing has changed, Abigail and the others are still working on getting themselves away from their families.
I felt the first half of the book flowed really well, we got to experience how hard and fast Abigail and Dane fell for each other and how hard it was for Abigail to break it off. The second half of the book helped fill in some gaps from the first book as you got to see the events from more perspectives. I'm definitely interested in reading the next book to see how everyone handles the outcome of the events in this book.
Thank you to the author and Chaotic Creatives for the copy of the book.
Abigail knew that her first duty was to the family, there was no other option if they wanted to escape. Then she met Dane and there was something about him that she couldn’t resist. The attraction was instant and the chemistry off the charts. Then the family was there to remind her that family is first and what they were capable of, so Abigail made sure to push Dane away. Dane knew he couldn’t let Abigail go, he didn’t understand the engagement or how her fiancé was ok with her seeing other people. Dane knows he wants Abigail and doesn’t want to share her with anyone. After being pushed away and returning Dane can’t deny the pull for Abigail is still there, but so is her fiancé. Always being given cryptic answers, he knows he needs the truth, because something doesn’t seem quite right. Abigail knows the risks, but can she let Dane know, knowing it will only put him in more danger.
Overall another 4 star book. The romance, spice, and chemistry was better in this book than it was in book one. The smut to plot ratio was still off though. A little too much smut and not enough of the story. I hated Abigail in the first book, but she redeemed herself in this one. I still hated the back and forth of the emotions and interactions of the characters. It was just too much. This story was a great continuation of book one. It was sorta the same book from two new perspectives. The time jumps in this book is horrible. It's basically non-existent. One thing would be happening then it'd just jump to something else with very little merging. Does that make sense? I've been trying to picture "Grandmother" as someone and she finally came to me in this book.. it's Queen Elizabeth! That is 100% who I picture when she's on page or talked about. Lol. Overall with the romance, spice, and little storyline it was a 4 star book ⭐⭐⭐⭐
We get Dane and Abigail's story in Book Two of The Corrupt Legacy Series. Dane's stepdad sends him off to a private boarding school because he has done the last thing his stepfather can put up with, and he needs to get his act together. Dane became a rebel when he found out the real cause of his biological father's death. Dane soon finds himself falling for classmate Abigail despite her having a boyfriend, Kaden. They are attracted to each other, and things start getting steamy between them. But Abigail has an arranged family marriage to Kaden, so she can't let the family find out about Dane. What will happen to Dane if the family finds out? I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NN Book Blog. You will love this book if you love a dark, steamy college romance with twists and turns you don't see coming. Bianca keeps you turning the pages with all the twists and turns until the end. Although this is Book Two in the series, it is able to be read as a stand-alone.
Wreck Me absolutely Wrecked Me!!!!! This book was so good and Dean and Abigail had me falling for them as quickly as they fell for each other.
Wreck Me is book 2 in the Corrupt Legacy series and was just as phenomenal as book 1. I have never felt more sorry for characters than I do the ones in this series. They’re all running away from a life that they don’t want and trying to get to the life they do.
Abigail and her family look like they have it all but that’s anything but true. She’s forced into a fake relationship with her best friend and quickly falls for new student Dean. He’s a hot shot race car driver that finds himself set away for school over a mistake he makes.
These two had a connection from the beginning but they have so many reason why they can’t work.
I absolutely loved this story! I can not wait for the next one!
Just WOW!! The build up in the beginning hooked me and made the rest of this amazing journey so much more. The chemistry between Abigail and Dane was instantaneous. I was here for it all. Bianca Borell knows how to write a dark romance that not only hooks you but gives you characters you can’t let go of once you’ve reached the end. The struggles and challenges Abigail and Dane had to fight and endure were not easy at all. And you can’t help but feel for them as they go through it all. Once they reach their HEA, things fall into place for them and they are able to receive the closure they needed while also closing a chapter that needed to be burned to ashes. This is an amazing second book to the series and I can’t wait for what else Bianca has in store for us. Regardless, I’ll be here for it all.
I absolutely loved this book! I went into it a little worried that it would be the same story over from the first book just from a different perspective, but that was definitely not the case Abi and Dane story is a whole new light. In the first books Abi is the mean girl or at least portrayed that way but this explained how she got to be who she is and all that she endured from the family. Just like every other child of the family she was forced to wear a mask and act completely different than she truly wanted to. Dane was the true bad boy sent away to school to grow up and do better. But he definitely knew how to treat his woman once she allowed it. I love how some tough subjects were represented in the book so well. I cant wait to read more and get deeper in the relationships of other side characters.
Wreck Me by Bianca Borell was an emotional rollercoaster ride, and I loved every minute of this book. I couldn't put this book down until I reached the end. My heart was in my throat a few times while reading, and I felt the heartbreak and pain both characters went through in this book. I love Bianca Borell's writing style; she is gritty and doesn't hold back in her storytelling. This book is a dark contemporary romance and touches on dark themes and topics. I thought the storyline was original and kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next for both characters. The characters were broken, and complex, and had an instant and undeniable chemistry. I laughed, cried, and fist-pumped a few times throughout this book. This is the second book in the Corrupt Legacy series and I was so excited to read Abigail and Dane's story.
Abigail was the queen of the school and she played her role well. She was guarded and wore a mask around everyone but her friends. Dane was a wild card. He lived his life like the race car driver he was. Fast, unpredictable, and on the edge. Their chemistry was a powder keg just waiting to explode and when it did it was epic. Their banter and angsty interactions were the spark that lit their fuse. Now, their romance is filled with heartbreak, secrets, and an inability to not gravitate towards each other. I loved this book so much that I can't wait to see what comes next in this series.
Solid 3.5 stars for me I found the first half of the book to move slow, but if you hang in there it picks up about half way through. My favorite part of the book was when the h was being tortured by her “uncles”. There was such great detail in that part! I was begging for more of it since the h was held there for several days. I also LOVE dark books though - can’t get enough of them! Definitely heed the TW’s. The H had great character development. There was a few times he got all wishy-washy with his feelings for the h and it kind of turned me off from him. But they’re also teens and very young adults so it makes sense but I prefer my H’s to stick with one side or the other and be firm in what they say/think. This book is long so be prepared. But if memory serves me right, this author writes longer novels anyways.
This book was fantastic and so is the whole series. This book is about Abigail and Dane. Abigail is a member of the Family, a dynasty that will be her destiny to someday rule with her future husband Kaden, through an arranged marriage. Only Kaden is in love with Celine, and Abigail is falling for Dane. They make plans to be together, but if the family finds out, it could put both hers and Dane's lives in danger. I really loved Dane's character how he would do anything in the world for Abigail even though she kept turning him down and would only love him in secret to keep him safe. Abigail is a strong character who endures a lot to get her happy ending. This is a dark second chance romance. I highly recommend it.
