I know nothing about blogs, podcasts, instagram, or any of that “high tech” stuff, so I never heard of this author, or “52 Love: Weekly Love Lessons in Bite-Sized Bits”. But boy am I glad I stumbled upon this AWESOME book and read it.
I read the entire book in one sitting because I wanted to have a comprehensive breakdown of the entire 52 weeks in order to write a good review. I must admit that even though I have been married 40 years, and am a senior citizen, this book gave me some FANTASTIC ideas. Just think what this will do for all you young people out there!
This book starts at the beginning of the year, but it is super easy to just jump in at whatever week of the year you are in when you buy this book. I found a lot of love-bites are easily adaptable to specific couples and their schedules and situations. The ideas are well thought out and doable, even on a budget.
Whether you are dating, together a short period of time, or married 40 years like me, I assure you that this book is well worth reading and following.
I don’t like to give spoilers in my reviews, but I must rave about the hair washing love-bite. It was SO detailed, I think I had a jump in my endorphins just reading the technique. It was simply beautiful and so romantic. My husband is the king of “ Week 11”, but until I read that chapter I honestly didn’t appreciate all the little things he constantly does for me, and how that is a way he expresses his love.
I think this book is worth buying for yourself, or as a gift for a friend or loved one. Each week of the year has a special, different idea to help you and your significant other connect or reconnect. I would dare go so far as to recommend this book for a single person to help them learn to love themselves better (think Miley Cyrus “Flowers”).
What’s even better is that this author has an entire section to use when this is a book club choice. I definitely think this would make a FABULOUS book club read.

The adorable little couple book "52 Love: Weekly Love Lessons in Bite-Sized Bits" is meant to be used throughout the duration of a full year. It is designed for couples looking to deepen their bond and discover more about their significant other through means of interesting topics and a variety of questions. Each lesson is straightforward and easy to concentrate on one topic at a time thanks to the weekly format. In addition to learning more about their partner's inner self, the exercises encourage couples to experiment with new ways of expressing love and gratitude for one another. The author's efforts to ensure that this book would be inclusive and applicable to people of all genders, backgrounds, and relationship types was beautifully incorporated ensuring the book feel personal to the widest audience possible!
One aspect I believe could improve the book is its physical design. The weeks follow the holidays observed throughout the year so if you do not start the book at the beginning of the year you're going to be out of whack. Being spiral-bound would allow couples to pick up the book at any point in the year without feeling that they are just jumping right into the middle of it which is what a person would have to do if they got this book say in the middle of the year. Despite this though, the content itself is wonderful. I feel it is a great way for couples to reconnect and deepen their bond through small, meaningful actions and conversations.

It has been quite a while since I last read a "self-help" or just simply a non-fiction book. I wanted to ease into it again, and this book was perfect for that! It's written in a clear, simple, yet engaging style. The relationship and love tips are exactly how they sound from the title: bite-sized and to the point. I've already tried quite a few of them in my own relationship and can honestly recommend them because they work. Really, even one's relationship with one's self can benefit greatly from most if not all of these tips. Great book!

*I got this book for free but this opinion is my own.* I loved the ideas this book gave me. They were romantic in the most mundane way. It really worked for me. What I liked most about this book was that it would tell us why the activity would benefit us individually and then goes on to explain how much more it would benefit us more when we do it with a partner. The only problem I saw with this was I would not be able to do all these activities if either me or my partner were shy.

The love bites section is a few follow up questions to ask yourself and each other that relate to that week’s lesson. I think this is a great way to make time for each other and improve your relationship.

These nuggets of inspiration actually helped my relationship. They helped us get back to basics and understand that it’s not always the grand gestures that heal us and help us grow! The chapters are small and meant for week by week, but I read the whole thing in less than a month and put the actions into play straight away, it’s amazing how quick the turn around has been.

This book contained some interesting and unique discussion prompts for couples to get closer to each other. My husband and I enjoyed using the prompts each week and found them to be a fast and easy read at the end of long and busy weeks. It's a great way to connect.
This has so many good ideas for your relationships. It is worth keeping and using over and over again! I appreciated the way it was laid out which made it so easy to use.
