~ Double bi-awakening
~ Friends to lovers
~ Rock star x sober companion
~ Forced proximity
~ Slow burn
My Summary
Cash Hawthorne is a sober companion hired by his girlfriend’s rock-star brother, Silas Hale, following a drug-fueled scare and a stint in rehab. Silas is determined to stay clean as his band goes out on tour and insists that Cash is the person to help him do so. But the addict-companion relationship means being together 24/7 as Silas adapts to his new normal, and neither man expected living in such close quarters on the road would ignite an attraction between them that refuses to be ignored. One kiss leads to two…to more…to possibly forever, even if it feels like that would be impossible.
My Thoughts
When I tell you that I loved both of these men … whew! For such a short book, Cash and Silas feel so well-rounded. They’re flawed and know it. They don’t pretend to be perfect, but they do try to be better. I like that this isn’t an insta-love connection; they’re friends first, even if only because when they first meet, Cash is dating Silas’ sister (there is NO cheating by the MMCs). When Silas needs to go to rehab, Cash is the one in Silas’ support group to respect Silas’ autonomy and reason with him rather than immediately freak out and insist he get treatment.
This book definitely has a different feel from the rest of the series, whether because of who these men are or because of the content, or possibly both. The tone feels heavier, and the burn is slower. As with the other books, there are also overlapping timelines, so you get to have little check-ins with the other couples, which is nice.

Bottom Line
Addicted to You is another solid entry in this heat-with-heart series. It feels like more of a slow burn than the previous Forbidden books, but once they catch fire … oof, watch out! Although it deals with a heavy subject, Silas’ overall recovery arc is positive, and he is all-in on not relapsing. That being said, you should still heed any content warnings, including on-page overdose, repeated drug use, alcohol use, and cheating (again, neither MMC).
