The Night of The Kings series is a favorite of mine, and I am always very excited and happy to return to it. This is just the first piece of David and Liz's story, so try to brace for that looming cliffy. Also, I highly recommend that you start and read this series from book one because that will provide you with the very best experience. A seismic attraction, scorching chemistry, taut tension, juicy drama, tantalizing twists, and sizzling heat make a potent and captivating combination firmly focused and fiercely invested. I need the next book ASAP!

They are first attracted to one another at a coffee shop. This book has intriguing characters, witty banter, unexpected plot twists, sizzling passion, and a cliffhanger.

What a buildup. You will love every minute of this book. With every page you turn comes more questions about who David is, what he did that he is keeping secret and is he attracted to Liz. Every time they see each other, they can’t keep their eyes off each other. And they want to keep their “relationship“ a secret? How are they supposed to do that when they are magnetically drawn to each other every time they’re in the same room. What an ending. Cannot wait for the next book.

Once is not enough after I read David and Liz's story I had to read it again. Liz is the best thing to come along for David I'm speculating. I really like that there are literary cameo appearances of characters from the previous books intersecting in David and Liz's story. I can't wait for the next book to see what these two characters get up to.

INCREDIBLE
Worth the wait. I didn't just enjoy it I'm loving it and this is just the first book to David's story. David's past has always been a mystery that I can't wait to have revealed. The question is, is it going to break my heart or terrify me. It's hot and makes me feel giddy every time there is an interaction between Liz & David. The writing is flawless and unfolds with ease. I get A feeling that David's story is going to be trouble on the heart and mind. Either way I'm in it till the end and will bide my time until I get my hands on book two.

It's like a blast from the past, mentally putting all the characters back in place, where they first came to life. This was the first series I started with this author and have been a fan since. Yes I read this book as an ARC copy, and I provide my honest feedback when writing a review. David, I think has no idea what he is in for. He thinks sex is a transaction fueled by the payment of money,which makes it better he thinks. This man has trust issues, big time. Liz can't find a good guy even if he were standing in front of her. She sees her life, although not horrible, it's far from what she wants it to be. Somewhere Liz is going to start melting through that cool exterior David has. David in return ,is going to start taking down the wall around his cold dead heart brick by brick. I love the premise of this story, and as I turn the pages it's an awesome feeling
to have those iconic characters come back to life.

Another terrific book by Ms. Ford! She once again brings strong well developed characters in David and Liz and takes you into their lives with chemistry and heat and kept me reading with all the drama throughout. She had me glued to the pages and left me with wanting more with the cliffhanger ending. I'm looking forward to the next book!

David is #19 in the series" Night of the Kings."
If you have read the series up to this point you have already met David. So, for newcomers to the story line it's best to start with the first book "James".

Isabella, an aspiring writer is looking for inspiration for her main male character.
As she sits at a coffee house a car pulls up and out steps her inspiration.
Handsome ,hot,mysterious , who is this man?

His driver brings him a cup of coffee and as she stares at him she is totally smitten.

David has also been staring at Isabella. He comes inside and they start up a brief conversation .
He leaves and Isabella has already decided "He" will be her new book Hero or Villian.
Unbeknownst to them, they have mutual friends and
meet again at a small party.

Isabella still feels the same way about him, but now is unsure of trying to get to know him that's because she already knows about him.

Her best friend wrote a book about him with all the juicy details. She's totally head over heels already and knows it would end in disaster.
David sees her and already knows that something between them is not going to work. He regards his friends as family and that puts her off limits.
But the heart knows what the heart wants and they go forward into a hot, sizzling affair.

"Night of the Kings" has got to be one of my favorite Shayne Ford series. I think that's why it's so easy for me to relate to her character's personality. Since this is book 19 in the series, they feel like old friends after we've gone through so much together and now it's David's turn. Trust me when I say this one has been a long time coming and it's certainly worth the wait. Read the blurb and author notes. Although you can start with this book, there is so much backstory within this group of friends, including David and Rain, that you won't want to miss out on all that's come before. I love that Ms. Ford has brought in characters from her previous books within the series reawakening all that made me fall in love with the series in the first place. David and Liz bring all the anticipation, the quick-witted back and forth that comes from an attraction being denied, and then the full explosion of bringing it to life only to be kept secret. The anticipation of what's to come has been triggered by what is delivered in this book. I can't wait.

Lost but intrigued

Book 19, so of course there’s a long history before this one. Unfortunately I’m at a loss and can’t remember anything of the others (it’s been years past that I read the previous books) even with the mentioning of couples and the infamous book. For this I’m a bit lost on the big picture but David and Liz’s start is cute. Luckily I can jump right into the next book because that “End of book One” almost threw me into a tailspin lol.

I will say one thing I’m not too happy about is the run on dialogue of thought that is Liz chapter after chapter. I hope David makes his way into the story somehow in book two.

Amazing!!!! Love being taken back to my favourite characters! By far my best series!!!
This book is revving up to be just as spectacular as the others in the series. Wonderful to delve into the intrigue that is David Moore.
Shayne's style of writing is as perfect as ever. Intrigue and mystery surrounds our main characters and its wonderful to dig into their mystique. Loved that my favourite 'OG' characters also pop up in the storyline!!!
If you are a fan of the Night of the Kings Series! It is a must-read!

David (Night of the Kings 19) A Billionaire Romance by Shayne Ford. I’m always ready for a little Night of Kings fix. David and Liz gave me everything I was hoping for and more. Their story sucked me in, and the characters pushed their way into my mind and eventually my heart. The chemistry between the main characters is amazing. I found this story to be enjoyable and steamy with a good mix of intense drama and engaging characters. The author has a flair for story telling that I find entertaining.

There is never a doubt with a book written by Shayne Ford, it's always a 5 for me. Her writing shows such depth in all aspects of it. She can write a scene, and feelings, and looks like no other author! This is the first book about David in the Night of the Kings series and number 19 in the complete series. This book as most of her series does end on a cliffhanger. She always makes me anxious for the next book.

Oh, my heart. David Moore. Elizabeth Fox. You are a lucky woman. In this book, you'll get fashion, delicious pastries, interesting characters. But it also has one of the hottest, heart pounding first sexual encounters. Ms. Ford is the best at serial book writing. Mystery and steam surrounds them. So very good. I need book two!
