---Received an ARC in echange for an honest review ---

I never read a litrpg book before but man, what an introduction to the genre! This was absolutely incredible!! The characters were awesome. The character development of Silas is well written and comes across as believable. The relationship between Silas and Raven was amazing, I loved Silas' attempts to learn sign language and you can feel the frustration of him not being able to understand Raven. When Galahad was first introduced, I found him annoying, but I soon started to love him. Can't wait to learn more about his past.

This book feels like you're actually playing a RPG or playing D&D. The levelling and scaling is fun as well as the sidequests. At first it took me by surprise but once I'd gotten used to it, I really loved this writing style. The story is good (albeit, it is a classic RPG story of a hero who starts at zero and has to level up to defeat the big baddy and save the world) and it is well paced. Even the 'training montage' chapters about half way the book were engaging to read.

All in all: I would definately recommend this book!

I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book.

It’s well worth a read, the characters are all so memorable, they lean into the fantasy/litrpg tropes in the best way. All solidly written characters.

If you’ve never read anything litrpg, this would be a decent place to start, the “mechanics” aren’t complicated and they tumble along in the background, with the plot being front and centre.

Go pick up the book, you won’t be disappointed!

I was lucky to be chosen as an ARC reader for this book. I loved the relationships between the characters especially the bond between Silas and Raven seeing it get built on actions due to communication being troublesome between them. The story gripped me right away and I can not wait to see what paths the characters choose for themselves as this series develops!

ALC 🎧 Book Review 🤍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was such a fun adventure- Probably my favorite LitRPG that I’ve listened to so far!!
The MMC is not overpowered & levels at an actual decent pace lol. Does Raven carry the party… Lowkey, but she’s such a fun character as well as mute rep? I love it. In fact, all the characters were so lovable, except you Jerry… F YOU JERRY 🤣

I think my faves are the imps, they give like peak NPC, side quest vibes + those riddles w/ the Easter Eggs, I was obsessed!! Honestly was just a good time overall- The adventure, quests, super well rounded read. I do wish abilities were explained a bit more, albeit it’s more so Raven’s that I’m curious about… So that’s probably why it wasn’t explained much, but I can’t wait to see where this story goes!!

The ending had me fr… It just hit harder after he read the note like 💔 pls. I didn’t expect this type of emotions from a LitRPG lol!! Such a fun time, I highkey thought he was gonna pick a different class than what he did go through with… So that was interesting!! I also wish there was more detailed loot involved, but I guess thats just part of the fun 🤍
Aaron Smith & Raya Kane did a super phenomenal job voicing all the characters, I don’t think I’ve listened to any of their narrations before, but I am a fan!!
They definitely added so much character into each & every character, super impressed & I hope they’re able to continue this series!! And again… F you, Jerry. Just one more for the road 🤣🤍

This is an amazing story. If you are into dungeons and dragons meet a video game then this is right up your alley. Also I liked how he has Easter eggs paying homage to his other major series that he has written.

Chaos Blade: Rebirth is a fast-paced LitRPG adventure with some fun characters, flashy moments, and a cliffhanger ending that tees up the sequel nicely. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel in terms of worldbuilding or originality, it delivers an easy, engaging read with solid pacing and a few standout set pieces. If you’re into Isekai-style stories with game-like mechanics, this one might hit the spot—just don’t expect anything too deep or emotionally resonant. It lands at a 5.5/10 for me, with potential for more as the series progresses.

There is not enough good things I can say about this book. From the second it starts, the Prologue sucks you in. I couldn't put it down from the second I started it.

For starters, I have never read a LitRPG before. I've heard of them, and love books and video games, so I figured I'd be a fan. But boy I was not expecting how much I would love this book.

The story starts off a little slow, as the main character gets sucked into a "video game world", and he needs to figure out everything on the fly. Which, as someone who loves RPGs as a whole, was a little slow, as I know how they usually work. But in context of the story, it makes sense.

Outside of that, the story is great and exactly what I would expect. One main quest, while getting diverted on side quests throughout, to help the main quest. The characters are phenomenal. Such a wide cast of characters, that you end up falling in love with (mostly). And the twist at the end of it... Wow. I expected something similar, but not what actually happened. And the epilogue... I don't remember the last time I cried at a book, but this one did it.

After reading all of the Levanthria series, I can confidentiality say that the writing is leagues better in this book. Like night and day difference. Able to get me so enthralled in the plot, world, characters... To the point a shed some tears? Bravo. And speaking of Levanthria, there's a nice little nod to Vireo in this... That's all I'll say about that...

100/10 would recommend this book.

Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity to read advanced readers copy!

I loved the adventure with new for me type of book- RPG. It was really interesting although known concept (watching solo leveling and playing video games rpg gave me a heads up :D) but I've never touched the book like this. It was really well prepared for the reader, it was clear and well explained that even without my long life experience in games I would know what is going on and why.
Our main character Silas was sucked in the another world, one so strange from ours he has to learn lots about it while on a path to save it. Silas transformation from meak data guy to honest and compationate fighter was fascinating and it went really naturally. Other characters in supportive roles were constructed in a defined way. I'm curious about their stories, especially Raven, as a mute girl she brought a lot of colour into the story. The motif I find interesting is a troubled with addiction/rehabilitating hero which can be find very often in Beswick books and we have it here also.
The pace kept me interested all the time and dialogues were funny and witty and well written. Here I would like to mark I enjoyed the evolution of the author. I read Levanthria series Arcs as well (I struggled with pace there somewhere) , it was the first series from this author and I'm so happy seeing the hard work he put into the Chaos Blade being even better in writing. Being witness to writers evolution and progress is a great joy.
The plot was gripping and there was very dosed tension and anticipation what's coming next in the adventure.
I appreciate the creativity with monters! There were so cool. As well as some Levanthria series easter eggs :D thanks man for that.
Can't wait for the next book as Silas has some though shit to deal with :D
Definitely worth your time, go and hope on the adventure.

Having never read any LitRPG before, I was unsure going into this book but I am hooked.
Think Jumanji meets Beswick's other fantasy series, and even gave me memories of Digimon S1 when they're all transported to a wonderful and weird world where they know nothing of this new world, but with D&D/RPG style elements thrown in. These elements really make the book feel personal as to me it read like I was exploring the world, it easily drew me in.
The world Beswick has created makes me want to holiday there (as ongoing as I don't meet some of the nasties the characters meet). Descriptive and detailed, the world draws you in and the wanting of the characters to explore as much as they can so that I can 'see' more of the world. (Not a surprise for anyone who's visited Levanthria before, my favourite fantasy series hands down).
Next, the characters. Such a varied mix of characters introduced in the book. The main character is someone very relatable you can really root for. Raven is someone he meets with a very complicated past you constantly want to know more about, such a well written character. Alongside these are a menagerie of side 'NPCs?' that draw you in and progress the story so well.
I'm leady looking forward to the next in this new series, and will be adventuring into other LitRPG.

Silas, a data analyst's life changes when, one day when resting at lunchbreak, an earthquake brings him to a new world where he is summoned by a desperate sorcerer, to become a champion to save this world. Silas met Raven, a mute child with deadly combat fighting skills. Together, they pursue their journey to save the world.

Chaos Blade: Rebirth is a LitRPG Fantasy in which the story plot uses a game structure as a base. For example, the use of HP, mana, magic, weapons and some skill traits. This story is full of action. Hmm, the story vibes and writing style feel very manly and, somehow, I feel it like manga style. For the characters, I like the interaction between Silas and Raven. Their interaction is obviously this story's spotlight. Also, I like Galahad. He is a funny mess bro hahaha.

Unfortunately, there are some things that really took my attention. First, the author uses a monster that not many people are familiar with. It really needs a sketch or described more clearly in the story. Yes, the description is there but not clear enough for me to get the picture. I think is because the description is more focused on combat fighting, by describing the monster’s movement and attack. Second, because this is an adventure journey, this story absolutely needs a map. Anyway, this story had so much potential and I will read the next book.

I liked this one! A definite 5/5.
I liked how the MC is pretty mild mannered and later when he gets to choose his class he goes for Berseker, the exact opposite. It's actually believable. In his head he's half-thinking this is a video game, so why not do what you don't normally do.

And then he isn't as bright as he thinks. He spent, what, 2-4 weeks with his sidekick and never once tried to learn ASL to try to communicate with his mute companion? Even yes or no? Finally (!) he starts. He doesn't try very hard, but it's a start.

Though not too bright, he has a heart. He does the right thing. I liked that. All these over the top characters he looks up to are telling him to do one thing, and he say NO. I'm doing what's right for my friend. You say this, but I have seen that. And "that" is what I am basing my decisions on. Good for you!

I'm definitely reading book 2. Hurry up and write it!

I was chosen as an ARC reader for this book, having read (listened to) Beswick's Levanthria series and thoroughly enjoying that. This is a bit of a detour from the style of writing he presented there, but fans of isekai anime & modern popculture easter eggs will enjoy this book. It is fun and generally light, with a few exceptions, and has some interesting character dynamics.

I've never read a literary RPG before but am an avid gamer & high fantasy consumer, so I was hopeful for what this book could hold. If you are used to fantasy that doesn't anchor clearly in the real world, you'll need suspend that notion for this book. Once you do that, it is easy to enjoy this little bit of fantasy that doesn't take itself too seriously. Definitely give it a shot if you are looking to get into the genre.

I have had the pleasure of listening Chaos Blade: Rebirth and it did not disappoint.
As a fan of isekai mangas, such as the now famous Solo Leveling and Overlord, I enjoyed the storyline.
I appreciate the well thought out character interactions and development. The growth of the MC, Silas, was laid out well, highlighting his successes as well as the difficulties he faced. I actually felt as if I was watching it unfold with my own eyes.
I even found some of the lesser characters as extremely entertaining and enjoyable in their own ways.
Aaron’s narration of the book was amazing as always, I appreciate the added layer listening to his interpretation of the story line.
Definitely recommend!

I got chosen to be an ARC and what a privilege! This book is brilliant! Being a gamer myself, I understood everything that was happening and it was easy to follow along with the 'lingo'. I love the relationships Silas creates along the way and how he grows, and 'levels up'. My favourite character is Raven and as frustrated as I am that I can't understand what she is saying, she is still my favourite badass little character! It's exciting and different and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. This will have you gripped in no time, and you won't want to put the book down until you have finished it, then you will crave for more. Another fantastic start to A P Beswick’s writing.

I adore A.P Beswicks Levanthria series so when I saw the opportunity to try a new genres by a great author I jumped at it and was lucky enough to get an ARC for Chaos Blade! This was completely new for me, I've never read anything like it, in a good way! I love a computer game and I obviously love a read so this combination with quests and character relationships and the world building was an amazing blend! Ate.It.Up! The northern wording, the nods to previous characters, the banter had me grinning throughout. Definitely recommend this to anyone!

Thanks to A.P. Beswick for allowing me to read this book early.
This was a really good first book in a series. The book is very fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The plot is pretty standard for a LitRPG story but this doesn't matter because the characters are very interesting and each has a unique and intresting backstory. There is a lot more mysteries to uncover in this world and i can't wait to read the next installment in this series.

This is a great LitRPG adventure! AP Beswick writes a fun and compelling story all the way through. As someone is a fan of both fantasy books and video games, this is the perfect combination of the two stories. I appreciated the internal logic of the game system throughout the book and how Beswick leverages this well to add to the story. The characters are fun and unique! I'm excited to see where this goes in the future. You should definitely give this book a read!

Something a bit different from the amazing A.P Beswick an absolute amazing read for gamers, fans of DnD and book lovers in general. Here we have a lite rpg where the main character is thrust into an new and unfamiliar world and he quickly has to find his way, realise he can be more than he ever thought. and be the hero the land needs. This book is rammed with adventure a total page turner.

This was a really fun and enjoyable read that sparked my imagination. I took my time with it, reading a chapter a day to really savor the story. Silas felt so defeated at the start, and it was incredibly satisfying to watch him regain his courage as the journey unfolded.

The writing flows effortlessly, with just the right amount of detail—enough to paint the world clearly without slowing down the pace. I enjoyed it so much, I might even reread it again.

I've enjoyed litRPG and isekai since my youth, the novel with a strong but unassuming MC in Silas makes the story more of a grab as I want to see the development and growth in the story.
Raven as a quiet side character lends to the story and how the 2 bond through the book
