We’re beginning with the core technique in art journaling - COLOR.
“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for.” Georgia O'Keeffe
That quote was placed onto one of the first versions of the Get Messy website back in 2014. Georgia totally gets us. Sometimes words are not enough, and art makes it enough. It’s a new avenue for exploration. Color is one of the strongest means for expression, and having it begin our Idea Book series is poetic.
You’ll learn from three very different artists (Caylee, Claudette, and Vanessa), and you’ll get to discover your style through it. We’ll guide you gently and enthusiastically. We’ll show you the technique and how to make it your own.
Let’s release the art that looks like you.
Let’s take your world and make art from it.
