One debt. Two hearts. A fiery clash of wills. Can love blossom amid the chains of fate? Andy Donovan
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s that fate loves to play dirty. Look, I never asked to be a damsel in distress. Hell, I’m not even a damsel—just a guy with a knack for coding and a talent for finding trouble. But when you’re drowning in debt and your business partner gambles away your last hope, you don’t exactly have the luxury of choice.
Enter Matt six foot three of pure, unadulterated sin wrapped in a tailored suit. He’s got more money than God and a proposition that would make the devil blush. Sure, he could crush me like a bug, but there’s something in those stormy eyes that makes my heart race and my wit sharpen.
I should run. I should hide. But with my sister’s future on the line and my own dreams hanging by a thread, I find myself drawn into his world of luxury and danger. It’s a game of high stakes and higher temptation, and I’m not sure if I’m winning or losing. All I know is, I’m in way over my head, and the water’s rising fast.
Matt Caine
Matt has always been a man who gets what he wants. Whether it’s closing million-dollar deals or acquiring the latest addition to his empire, nothing is beyond his reach. But Andy is different. The young man with fiery spirit and quick wit has ignited something in Matt.
From the moment Andy crashes into his life, all defiance and desperate bravery, Matt knows he has to have him. It isn’t just about the debt or the business opportunity; it’s about possessing that untamed spirit, about feeling the heat of Andy’s resistance melt into passion under his touch. But as Matt draws Andy deeper into his world of opulence and power, his quest to chain Andy to his side might just be the shackle that chains his own heart in the process.

VEGAS BILLIONAIRES SERIES
Chained by Fate (3 books) (Matt and Andy) 1: Spark 2: Passion 3: Love (coming soon)
I recently finished this book, and I have to say, it’s amazing! I devoured it in less than a week, completely hooked by the chemistry between Andy and Matt. The banter between them is top-notch, keeping things light, fun, and engaging throughout.
What I loved most is how the story flips typical romance dynamics. The billionaire, Matt, absolutely spoils Andy, and it’s refreshing to see how comfortable Andy is with enjoying the perks of dating someone wealthy. Andy’s witty, spunky personality shines, making him a standout character, while Matt’s commanding presence is balanced by surprising moments of tenderness and depth.
The forced-proximity and debt-to-love tropes are handled perfectly here, creating just the right amount of tension and emotional payoff. If you’re a fan of MM romance, you’ll love how the sparks fly between these two, both emotionally and physically. It’s steamy, heartfelt, and full of charm.
Highly recommend diving into this one if you love witty protagonists, hunky billionaires with a soft side, and romance that sizzles with every page!
Matt and Andy are cute. They appear to be good for one another. There's a lot of spice. Like multi-chapter spice. I personally prefer plot. However, I have read another book by this author, and I know that spice is their forte.
At the beginning of the story, there was a dual point of view of the same scenes, but from different points of time. It was redundant, but kind of not, too. The flow became better as the story progressed.
Notable Scenes/Quotes:
Matt’s lips curved into that signature smirk of his, the kind that promised trouble and delivered double. ++++++++++++++++
Matt’s grip on the back of my head was anything but gentle, fingers digging into my scalp with the possessiveness of a lion reclaiming its territory. His eyes were molten steel, his fury palpable.
“You’re f*cking grounded,” he growled, his voice a low rumble that could’ve doubled as a warning from Mother Nature herself. ++++++++++++++++
I could taste the fury on his tongue, a spicy tang that matched the adrenaline coursing through my veins. His heat enveloped me, scorching yet oddly grounding. Matt Caine didn’t just kiss; he branded, and I was caught in the inferno.
I guess it’s a part 1? hopefully? Otherwise it would be a horrible way to end a book. I did enjoy their chemistry despite being a reluctant/dominant relationship. It had some fun moments for sure. Ending is very abrupt. Guessing it’s a part 1 but honestly, even if it is, the ending shouldn’t feel like that. It should be a smoother transition. Also…the last chapter being the diary of one of the bodyguards? I did not see the purpose of that at all. It was also barely coherent. Didn’t get it at all. Not going to read the rest.
The couple meets in an unconventional way, but the way they interact with each other is interesting, they are always teasing each other like cats and dogs, which entertains the reader. It takes them a while to give in to the sexual tension that surrounds them, but when they do, they look like two bunnies 👀. Anyway, the experience was good and fun, I highly recommend it.
The author continues to repeat and repeat the same exact thoughts and dialog throughout the book. It's like reading the same scene over and over. The spicy seasons were not even semi believable and honestly one of the worst books I read this year.
I liked the snarkiness of Andy and the bossiness of Matt. I hope I get to see more of them in future books. Also, I liked Bruno's diary at the end. Hope to see more of him as well.
