HIGHLIGHTS:
1. Cohabit with spirit: The purpose of any spiritual practice is to keep us engaged and in dialogue with the Divine, whenever we perceive it, and however we have learned to speak and listen.
- Daily practice that fosters peace of mind.
- Let go. Be here. Now what?
2. Make myself available. Peace of mind is invited.
3. Speed tends to cancel out guidance.
- When we move in speed, we are out of touch with spirit, and when we are out of touch with spirit, the ego steps into control.
- What do you need me to do? How do I need to change in order to do it?
4. Voice of guidance became unmistakable.
5. You can only serve the Light to the extent that you can stand the Dark.
6. Certainty of purpose starts by believing we have one.
7. We need each other to fulfill our destinies.
- We long for the fullness of our personal lives.
8. There are no guarantees in life.
- Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. And most of the time, it’s not even personal, not based on merit or deficiency: We are just next in line for the lesson.
9. Surprise is the practice of accepting the unexpected interruption and the practice of leaving enough space in the day for something to happen that isn’t on the list.
- Surrendering to surprise is the practice of balancing structure and openness.
10. Every day we need to notice when and how the spirit is trying to get through our little fantasies of self-determination with some other message.
- Chart the day and look for the unexpected. Chart life with a spirit of openness.
