Ally White is a newly orphaned woman with a promise to keep. When she returns to Fairview Falls, she worries that the people she once knew and trusted, those who abandoned them when her father passed seven years ago, won’t want her. When they welcome her with open arms, she struggles to stay hurt when all she craves is love.
Owen Sterling is desperate to find his fated mate. Waiting four years for the one the Moon Goddess made for you was starting to take it’s toll on him as he has to watch all of his friends find their mates and start families. When he catches his mate’s delicious peachy and vanilla scent during a morning run with his best friends, only to find out she’s human and the daughter of his dad’s deceased best friend, the meet-cute he’d always dreamed about turns into a meet-fail when he freezes and she leaves. Can he push away his worries and accept the beautiful, curvy, human woman the Moon Goddess has made for him? Can she bring down the walls she’s built around her heart and let in the people who claim to love her?
Shelby Rae writes swoony, contemporary romances with men who are obsessed with their women, and sassy, stubborn best friends who make you laugh while the main characters shake their heads. She writes contemporary romance, shifter romance, sports, and anything else she feels like writing.
I loved it! This type of book - werewolf/ fantasy - I don’t usually read. This book had me hooked from the beginning though!
The writing was very easy going - felt like you were apart of the character as they were talking or their inner thoughts being told, and the variety of characters this book had to offer was fantastic.
I was not expecting as much 🌶️ 🌶️ but man oh man this book is one of the spiciest ones I’ve read in a long time! 🤭
Overall this was a fantastic and hard to put down read!
I adored this series and world. A good book that has Alphas/Betas/Omega, and werewolves in the same book is hard to find. Pack books take on a different writing style, think heats and nests and knots. Shifters take on different concepts, usually opening the door to alot more. This was none of that in the best way. This had the actual wolves and pack mentality. This had the beasts and the shifting and the magic with it, without taking away the simplicity of it being werewolves.
To me this series so far is something the Twilight girlie's would like, if they wanted the werewolves side of it, without vamps.
I loved the found family aspect. Ally had lost both her parents. Moving away from her best friend. In the end, she found a new mate, new pack, reconnected with extended family and friends and it was the best. The connection between the main characters and supporting characters was great, it truly made the book.
I can't wait for book 2, knowing that Ally and Owen continue into book 2.
I couldn't put down "Chasing You" by Shelby Rae! This gripping book intertwines fantasy, werewolves, and humans, adding a spicy twist that is a must-read for any fan of the genre.
