An intense second installment!

Pandemic Z 2: Day of Chaos is the follow up to the excellent Pandemic Z 1: The First Night and picks up right where book 1 ends, With Brian, Emma, Raj and the rest of the group desperately looking for somewhere safe. The pace is even faster in Book 2, yet there is a remarkable amount of character development, especially for Emma. The book throws a huge new obstacle to survival in at the end, making for a huge cliffhanger that has me downloading Book 3 ASAP! 4/5 stars, highly recommended for zombie apocalypse fans!!

Story fine but writing not so good

I normally love Ryan Casey but this series has been almost impossible to read. The writing is so redundant (in the span of two pages, things like the smell was pungent, it smelled like shit, the smell was overwhelming, etc were used and it was to describe the same thing). Like, we get it. Also, the constant remiscing about his ex, current gf, and daughter was overkill. For every 2 pages I read, I skipped 3.
