Dylan Carter is best friends with Joel Mitchell and his assistant is Caress ‘Cari’ Mitchell, Joel’s little sister. All three of them are on a cruise together for business. Caress is here for work only but this is gonna be hard for her she has always had a crush on Dylan. She has handled her crush but on this cruise will be challenging for her especially since she broke up with her boyfriend last year.
Dylan comes out from his cabin to find Caress being accosted by her ex-boyfriend, Trevor, so Dylan tells Trevor that he is her boyfriend and for him to leave her alone. Now for 4 days they will fake date. Good story, quick read at about 2 hours, best friend’s little sister/brother’s best friend, forbidden, secret feelings on both sides, close proximity can’t hide, scenes with food play, scenes of protection and jealousy, close brother/sister relationship.

Faking it Onboard is part of the multi-authored series Cruisin' With Curves. It's a short and steamy, OTT, fake dating, curvy girl gets her brother's best friend (and her boss) romance. Dylan is a hunky businessman. Caress "Cari" is his curvy assistant, and she is also his best friend, Joel's little sister. The two have had crushes on each other, but Dylan has always felt she was off-limits. Now, the 3 of them are on a cruise together. When Dylan sees her ex harassing her, he steps in, saying he is her boyfriend, so he will back off. But real feelings are ignited. What happens when the cruise is over? What will Joel say? This couple had great chemistry, and we ended on a happy note after a little drama. This was my first book by this author but not the last! I loved it!.

Faking it Onboard is searingly sweet with a dash of protector alpha and a whole lot of hotness! Dylan and Caress are dynamite together, each secretly crushing on the other but denying it to Joel and themselves. Watching the dynamics and their growing chemistry is highly entertaining, especially when they are challenged by outside forces. And boy oh boy are their intimate moments delicious!

I believed in the connection and chemistry between Caress and Dylan, and could see why they had waited so long to act on it. I may have felt like shaking them (and her brother) at times but I still believed in them and that they could have a HEA.

This is an entertaining short story, fake relationship, romance book that grabs your attention from the beginning and hold it to the end. The storyline is intriguing as the drama unfolds. The characters have steamy magnetic chemistry together. I enjoyed this book.
