After the horrors of Lost Cove, Jessie Night is ready for some peace and boredom in the quiet town of Pine Haven. Just as she's settling back into a sense of normalcy, a new client pulls her into a seemingly straightforward a break-in at the luxurious lakeside mansion owned by the woman.
A cut and dry case. Or so Jessie thinks. Until Pine Haven’s tranquility is shattered when a brutal murder rocks the same wealthy community where her client lives. As Jessie and Alex dig deeper, they start to believe there may be a connection between the break-in and the murder. The clues lead them to a labyrinth of deceit, where nothing is as it seems.
When a second murder occurs, panic spreads.
Jessie realizes they’re dealing with a serial killer more cunning and ruthless than any she’s encountered before. With the clock ticking and the body count rising, Jessie and her friends must race to unmask the killer before more lives are lost.
I'm already excited to start book 6. Also upset that 7 won't be out until near July of 26. I can't get enough of Pine Havens finest doing what they do, they all play their own role in story development. I'm also enjoying the flashbacks from previous books, it makes reading it twice to be sure you didn't miss anything the first time. OK, I'm on to read book 6 right now, so do yourself a favor and read this series, Jessie, Blizzard, Alex, and the rest of Pine Havem are waiting to take you on an awesome reading adventure! Idk, maybe Pine Haven is the next big Cryptid?! Haha. But seriously read these books, like now, it's seriously entertainin yall!
Wow, this whole series with Jessie, Alex and Blizzard, has just been so amazing and entertaining to read. So much so that I’ve burned through all of them in record time! But this latest story really had me going! I mean the killer is horrific and Jessie, it seems, was running around in circles at times. But I certainly didn’t expect several people to actually survive this killer! I didn’t see that coming! Definitely recommend, can’t wait to read the next one!
Excellent ! Each one gets better than this series I can’t wait to finish number six. I haven’t been in the military myself. She is so right about how the army and the government hides things and unfortunately, when you do enlist, your ass is grass and they own it for the two years you’re in or whatever how many of years. Excellent excellent book.
A very interesting story which had a lot of questions and a lot of challenges. Jessie really had to think about the challenges and look back in her past to figure out the what and why of the killings.
