Skeletons in the family closest is merely a saying, right?
But not in our sleepy town of Black Rock and even less so at its posh retirement home, Silver Serenity. There are lots of goings-on and a bunch of very interesting characters running amok. No telling who should be in the old-folks home or in the nearby psychiatric hospital.

While our gal & crew solve the main mystery (who says there only has to be one?), readers are left in just enough suspense for the next in series - ‘Her Grisly Grave’.

This story is shocking, the characters perfectly placed throughout the book. I did not want to put the book down because I needed to find out why Lopez suddenly went off the grid. Tanya and Max are a powerful combo of fearless grit and determination. A Big Ten Star, must read, top shelf novel.
Highly Recommended

Buckle up!

This non-stop action thriller has more twists and turns than a bag of worms but is infinitely more pleasant to spend time with. In this stunning addition to a great series, Tanya Stone is still undercover in Black Rock posing as a consultant for the local police force. Her life takes a turn for the unrelentingly chaotic when her FBI boss wants her to devote her attention to one case but her police captain wants her to investigate another. Or are they two separate cases? There seem to be connections everywhere she looks and the more she digs, the more connections she finds. While I have enjoyed every book in this series, this one takes the “breathless anticipation factor” up to another level. No spoilers here – just know that once you open this book you had better be prepared to ignore all else because it is enthralling from the first sentence to the last. I particularly loved the larger role Max, Tanya’s loyal K9 partner, had in this story. He’s a lovable scene-stealer with a badge and some serious teeth who never backs down from a fight. I also truly enjoyed the antics of Ocean and Sahara, two senior citizen ladies whose zest for fun and living life on their own terms will forever ensure they have a permanent place in my heart. Lovable dogs and fun-loving seniors aside, though, this is a twisted story with true evil guiding the actions of a villain who is beyond reprehensible. If you enjoy thrilling mysteries with murder, mayhem, flying bullets and spectacular explosions, clear a little time in your schedule because you will absolutely not want to be interrupted with this one. Enjoy!

I was provided with an advance copy of this book, for which I thank the author, but I am sharing my honest and unbiased review on a voluntary basis.

FBI agent Tanya Stone is sent in under cover to work at the local police department. She has her K9 partner, Max with her. A retirement home for the wealthy harbors many secrets. A body is found partial buried near the home leads to investigate the retirement home and its employees. A killer on the loose and a number of secrets revealed. A true page turner.

A perfect book! I felt like I was there at that resort. There is lots of action, and twists and turns in the story. I liked Ocean and Sahara; they always seem to be one step ahead of Tanya and Max. The story is so intense that I couldn’t put it down. I was very surprised by the ending. I would recommend this book to anyone who really enjoys a very good thriller.
