Can she save Candlelight Inn despite the Christmas Grinch…?
The holidays have always been magical at Candlelight Inn, but this year, the sparkle is fading fast. The beloved inn is on the brink of financial ruin, and its elderly owner has just delivered the heartbreaking news—without a Christmas miracle, the doors will close for good.
Angelica Spenser isn’t going to let that happen. She adores her job, even if she’s not exactly the manager she’s claimed to be to her family, and the inn is her sanctuary. But there’s one problem: James McMahon, her infuriating co-worker. He’s a know-it-all master’s student with zero holiday spirit and a knack for making her blood boil.
Angelica knows that saving the inn will need teamwork, but how can she collaborate with someone who dismisses everything she holds dear? As the tension between them heats up, the clock ticks down to Christmas.
Will their constant bickering spell the end for Candlelight Inn? Or can these opposites find common ground—and maybe even something more—before it’s too late?
Treat yourself to a Christmas in Candlelight Bay in Saving Candlelight Inn, a fun small-town romance novella where opposites attract, disasters happen, and the magic of mistletoe is in the air. .
I loved this holiday read. The inn is a place I’d love to visit after reading this. Hope I’m that there is an actual place like this with a Christmas market by candle light. The ending was a real twist I honestly didn’t see it coming.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at the inn and the book felt cozy from the start. I absolutely loved how visual the Christmas tree ornaments and stained glass work, and what the inn looked like.
It was a great place for a wedding venue, and I was interested when Holly wanted to use it as the place that she wanted to get married at.
I liked the banter between James and Angelica. The Book was really feel good, and it was perfectly paced and sure enough to be enjoyable without being too long.
Penny and Mr. Moore were supportive, and I liked that. I felt really enthusiastic about the Christmas Festival preparations. I felt like I was actually part of the story myself, because it was so immersive and just a joy of a book.
There was a clever use of British stereotypes, but, being British, I have to say that we don't all like Christmas pudding (myself included).
I hoped that Angelica was going to be happy in the town that she'd moved to, and she's a person to root for. James had a realistic personality, but I found him a little exasperating at times and then he was subtly flirtatious.
Will the Christmas Festival be enough to save the inn from closure? Will James and Angelica go from slightly hostile to something more? This book is full of anticipation, and Megan Jacobs uses that to help the book. I liked how she did this.
Saving Candlelight Inn is a short, sweet, romantic and gripping story for anyone who loves Christmas. It certainly captures how unique and iconic Candlilight Bay and its inhabitants are.
Thanks to Megan Jacobs.

It was okay. I didn't necessarily not like it, but it's not one I would rave about to others or reread. I don't really care for the miscommunication trope. I think that is one little bit that is pushing me back some.
This is an absolute dream of a book by Megan Jacobs. A true masterpiece classic Christmas miracle love story . Candlelight Inn has always been special . It’s the Pearl of Candlelight Bay but with funds quick it’s burnt its last wick. On the brink of ruin Angelica Spenser is NOT going to let it happen. No sir ! It might need a Christmas Miracle though because …well who she has to work with or get some workout of more like . Her coworker James Mahon. Teamwork’s alright if you’re both doing it , right? But what do you know it all snowballs and before they know it they’re working together actually getting along . He’s a bit of a grump but she soon learns between that grumpy outer layer is a man who does care. Sweet as toffee and sticky too because I’ve a feeling that that’s these two now stuck like glue to each other . Christmas Miracles do occur ..and it’s heavenly for all to see how in love two people can be after misery . All because of a baby or a Christmas tree , whatever is in your heart believe in the joy of a girl and a boy. A man and his woman a lady and her gent whichever way you say it . You know that is meant. Love. Well written and heartfelt storytelling that’s quite a compelling read , well it’s a Megan Jacobs book so no surprise there . Just take a look. See for yourselves . I can see this flying off the shelves.
Angelica and James both work at the beloved Candlelight Inn. The Inn has always been magical at Christmas but not this year, this year the owner announces that unless a Christmas miracle happens the doors of the Inn will be closing soon.
Angelica and James both love the inn and working there is great. So they plot to get the Inn back in shape and the books back into the black. They may not get along but there is a need to work together and save the Inn and they are sure they are not the only ones to feel this way. Now the Save the Inn campaign begins and it will get done. Saving the Inn might have another special ending as well because the longer they work together the closer the seem to become. So this might be the year of Christmas Miracles right here at the Candlelight Inn.
Both Angelica and James work at the Candlelight Inn. While Angelica is fun-loving, James is more logical and grumpy. Despite that, they overcome their differences and decide to work together to save the inn from closing down.
As they work closely together, Angelica soon realises that James is a caring man beneath the grumpy man that he appears to be. When bad luck strikes, can they still save the inn and will they have a chance at becoming more than co-workers?
I loved the snarky banter between them and I can totally imagine James with his British deep accent. The novella was a joy to read and a low angst enemy to lovers story. The ending was just perfect for the lovely couple.

Can the Candlelight Inn be saved or will Angelica need a new place to work?
The beloved Candlelight Inn is in financial ruin, but Angelica loves her job and most of her coworkers. She wants to find the perfect way to save the Inn and her beloved job. James is that one coworker Angelica could work without but he’s a master’s student who could put his education to use in order to save the Inn. Tensions heats up but that may not be all!
Another great holiday novella in the Mistletoe Kisses series. The character development and dialogue draws you in and makes you want to keep reading. This is a great read for those looking for a quick read during this holiday season.
Tropes Include: Enemies to lovers Happily ever after
" And sometimes—just sometimes—the things you really work hard for are the things you get."
Angelica has left fast paced New York to work in a small harbor town at a small Inn. But she has become an important person in the town with dreams of one day becoming the owner of the Candlelight Inn. However when the current owner explains the Inn was going under financially, Angelica and her co manager James begin to work on that note to happen.
Does it? Do they save the Inn? Does working together lead to beginning something else? You're going to have to get this lovely little story and find out! Highly Recommended 5/5

This is a clean small town holiday story that demonstrates the power of a pitch in attitude. James and Angelica work at the Inn as colleagues, but with discord. The Inn being in jeopardy leads them to the discovery that they have common goals. Truly working together makes all the difference and changes their relationship. They find their discord was based on lack of communication, awareness, and understanding. The author demonstrates that once we get to know someone, we can see our differences in a new light and progress can be made. Everyone wins, as did James and Angelica, the town and the Candlelight Inn.
I love all things Megan Jacobs and this does not disappoint, this is part of the Mistletoe Kisses series. Angela and James are coworkers at the Candlelight Inn, and don't get along. Penelope Bridges the owner of the Inn, lets them know that the Inn will be closing after the holidays; they are both astounded. The Inn needs major renovations, she does not have the money for. The Inn needs a Christmas miracle to stay open, or a vision and hard work. Can Angela and James work together to save the Inn? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Megan Jacobs!!!
What do you get with a reserved British guy and a little more no so reserved, small town, heart on her sleeve girl? A miscommunication in the way you think people feel, like I don't know, hating you.
But when a Christmas miracle needs to happen, Angelica is there, along with James. And the journey to save the inn comes with lots of fun times. Along with a little romance, and a discovery to find that opposites attract! And it's so stinking cute when it does! Because these two are just perfect for each other.
So don't miss how they change their minds, or all they go through for this inn on Christmas Eve
Angelica and James are competitive front desk colleagues at Candlelight Inn, both hoping to be named successor by the elderly owner. Shocking news of the potential closure of the inn, motivates Angelica to explore methods of saving the inn. Although James initially criticises Angelica’s ideas, he is soon swayed by her sassy attitude, unfailing enthusiasm and the overwhelming evidence of the town’s support for her efforts. A sweet, quick-to-read novella, perfect as a Christmas read, it has the hallmark of previous Candlelight Bay novellas, although it is a complete stand-alone. Angelica and James are coworkers that don't get along. He's all by-the-book and she's more free-spirited. They banter constantly. He's always shooting down her ideas... Wait. Is he fighting a smile? Hmm.
I loved these two main characters. She's so single-minded that she doesn't notice everything going on around her until it's pointed out. Will there be a Christmas miracle? And more importantly, will there be a mistletoe kiss?
This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.
This is a clean and sweet romance based around Christmas.
Angelica works at Candlelight Inn and think she will be able to take it over once the owner retires. However, she and her coworker James, find out the inn is in dire straights. Can they save the inn?
Opposites attract and different personalities can hide how someone actually feels. Working styles, even though different, can make successful endeavors. The characters are fun.

I’ll have to agree with Angelica, there is something of a sound of superiority in a British accent. They just sound sophisticated, unless it is a cockney accent, then erase the previous thought. James has accidentally made a bad first impression, but I have the feeling he has been intentionally goading her. This is a sweet story of erasing that first impression and joining forces to fight for the continuance of the Candlelight Inn that she loves. So perhaps in that battle to saving the failing inn, they might fall in love. I really enjoyed this book.
Sweet read to get into mood for Christmas. Angelica and James were managers for Penelope who owned Candlelight Inn for decades. With Candlelight being an older structure it was is need of some major structural repairs and with Penelope's age a major factor as well made this Christmas into a miracle needing to happen.
Fun watching Angelica and James grow together in maturity and treating each other as equals then into friendship and finally romance in achieving this hoped for miracle.
Fun Christmas story. Angelica and James have to save the inn and their jobs. Penelope is heartbroken that she might have to close the inn. Working together brings out the best in these coworkers. The characters are well written and you are rooting for them and everything to go well. I love the spirit and helpful community that makes it all possible. I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.
Co workers that are as opposite as possible have to work together in order to save the town Inn. She sees him as the stereotypical Englishman, very conservative in his behavior and likes. Meanwhile she is very out going and vibrant. Will they be able to stop fighting long enough to save the Inn? How does this affect their impressions of each other?.

Saving Candlelight Inn is a quick read and sweet holiday romance between James and Angelica who are co-workers at the financially struggling historic Inn where they are employed. They have diametrically opposite view points but learn to work together in order to have a successful outcome. This is an enjoyable enemies to lovers romance which will lighten up your holiday spirit in this stressful season.

Angelica and James argue a lot but they have to find a way to work together to save the struggling inn they work for. They both have big ideas, different personalities, and are stubborn. There were some funny moments and ones where I was surprised they were successful at all with all the setbacks in this kisses only adversaries and colleagues to lovers novella romance.
Candlelight Inn needs a miracle to stay in business and will need everybody working as a team in order to stay afloat. Will they be able to? Will Angelica and James review their behavior and work towards a common goal? One thing is certain, they'll find a happy ending! A heartwarming and sweet Christmas story! I thank Ms. Jacobs for this ARC.

short entertaining christmas Angelica and James´story is a short and entertaining christmas themed read that was perfect for me: their banter made me laugh and saving the inn woke the spirit of christmas for me where magic can come true.
