Oh fuck he’s hot, she thought, as she shook hands with Heath Mayer. She’d heard about their chief exec being quite the hunk, but did anyone have the right to be so freaking sexy? He just had to breathe and he was any girl’s hottest fantasy.

Above six feet tall, wide shoulders, narrow waist – all round solid, hard. He had the kind of arresting face you’d see on any of those high fashion men’s magazines. Brooding good looks with the chiseled jaw and smoky eyes. His were a piercing grey, with hair so dark it seemed to have blue streaks in them. He had on a three piece suit that fit him perfectly, and gave the impression that his clothes cost more than Megan earned in a year.

“This is Miss Kerry,” her superior, the VP of sales and marketing, was saying as he introduced her to the owner and CEO of the company.

This is the First Book in yet another collection of erotic serials…
You know the drill… Each book is going to be short.
The first book is going to be free.
The book will be heavy on sex, light on plot...

Verdict: No. Just… No

This is your standard CEO romance, but there are two HUGE problems with the first book (so I have zero hopes for the rest of the series).

1. It was a

2. Her writing BLOWS. Allow me to present two particularly awful moments:

She describes the main male sex/love interest has having "Big, Sexy Balls"

Then this little gem; "Beneath his burning gaze, her chalk-shaped nipples started to harden and throb."

What in the actual fuck?
Chalk-shaped?

ALERT... another series that cost more than the pages and time it took to write. Can you feel the irritation rolling off of me.
 photo yep_zpsc952af79.gif

This book is the biggest teaser I've read ALL year. Less than 30 pages and by the time you reach the end you realize that Megan hasn't actually experienced anything but the best wet dream of her life. Wtf

This book only gets three stars because the steamy climax is to die for even if it was fake. I absolutely hate how it's become a trend to get your readers to buy (although book one is a freebie) a story that really isn't a full story at all. You can't really call a book, a book if it leaves off in the middle of a scene, and try to pass it off as a cliffhanger. I really want writers/authors to value their readers a little more by stopping this horrible cycle.

Quite a touch.

I hope of there would have been a proper story behind this Erotica, but the twist was good. If it had more of the part of good romantic story then the elaboration of theme would have become more interesting.

Honestly, sometimes I pick up romances to see how over the top it can be. I'm one of those who will giggle incessantly at a line, depending on how crazy it is. I can't be the only one that does this.

For a short story, it certainly delivers. There's a simple set up- the characters are given just enough life to make it believable- and then we're thrown straight into the action.

Without giving too much away or ruining the plot twist ending, there were a few phrases that caught my attention and sent me into giggle fits. Because, you know, I'm an adult.

- "Chalk-shaped nipples" distracted me for way longer than it should have. While that is an apt description for the shape of them, I imagined her drawing pretty circles with her upper torso.

- "Huge, sexy balls" also got me. I was unaware that people liked that, but whatever floats your boat.

For a quick, hot, freebie, I got what I came for. It was fun. It was crude. It kept my attention.

Don't buy this

Unless you want to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all don't buy this. Thankfully I got this one for free but I should be paid for having read that. And before everyone gets up in arms telling me I have no right to trash anyone's work who was brave enough to publish l just have to quote this marvelous story and you will understand me: "her vaginal walls screeched" Yes, that's right, a direct quote. That does not sound like any woman's orgasm that I have ever read or heard about or experienced. That sounds painful. And the descriptions just get worse and worse.

While I liked the book, I am beginning to think that these short stories are just that short stories with no character building efforts involved. I liked the book and I am going to read the rest of the series just because but, I hate leaving a book screaming I want more. This book was okay but okay enough for me to read the next one in the story just to find out how the proposition goes. There is something about a rich millionaire who makes demands while not really making them.

The language in this short story was crude. Not in the sense of vulgar, but in that it lacked polish. The descriptions in a love scene should draw a reader in, but I found that these were distracting due to some of the phrases used. While a longer version may have contained subplots, backstory or characterization that would have made the issues with the love scene and the lack of polish moot, I was unable to find anything in this short story that allowed me to overlook either.

Hot CEO

Hanging on every word, feeling every touch, was it real? Megan has met the CEO of the company, but most of the employees haven't. Now he has asked Megan to meet him for lunch to go over things. Why, why her, everyone is wonder, is it work or more personal?

Hmmm not to be a naysayer but

What happens when they break up. I really get sad when i see that a girl has decided to risk her career for basically a stranger i cant get that out of my head and it keeps me from enjoying the story

Good read.

I really enjoyed this book. The scenes were very sexy there was this one word that I kept reading constantly, that I felt the writer enjoyed using. I did find the book thrilling and at times I found myself saying omg. I also wasn't ready for the surprise ending.

I'm so glad this was a short story. I dont know if I could have taken phrases like "choked on his man meat" for too much longer. The word and phrase choices in this story did nothing but just take me out of the scene and make it super awkward to read.

It's A Dream

She's possibly on the fast track with her company. And she'd like a faster track with her big boss. Enjoy I did.

Erotic romance. Megan is a delightful character. Her drive is powerful. Well written.

Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Page-turner. Steamy. Wonderful characters.

"You intrigue me, Miss Kerry..."

Unfortunately, neither Miss Kerry or Mr. Mayer really intrigued me.

This book has the distinctive feel of being a Fifty Shades knock-off.

Let's start with the characterization.

The Players
Megan Kerry is an okay character, not quite as composed-of-cardboard as Ana, certainly, but there also wasn't much to her. Unfortunately, there is more telling than showing in this little story, and that extends to characterization as well.
Megan is apparently a market strategist at Heath Mayer's company. He's an eligible bachelor/multi-millionaire who frequents society magazines, newspapers, and has even been on TV once. All the ladies want him, naturally. He's described as exuding power:

It was more about the power he exuded; the sensation that he was some lethal beast barely holding himself back from seizing his suspected prey.

This is NEVER demonstrated. At all. In fact, in the only scenes he actually appears in, he doesn't exude much personality at all.

There are words like "cocky bastard" thrown around, but again, there is no evidence to back this up.

The SEX
This is the important part, right? It's erotica. The long and short of it is: you expect some steam.
The sex scenes are not good. I was hoping maybe they had been more polished than the rest of the book since it's the moneymaker, so to speak, but that is not the case. There's a lot of awkward and/or excessive wording. It doesn't feel right.

Her eyes lingered on his groin, her breath catching at the sight of his thick, seven inch plus cock and huge, sexy balls.

description

I'll just go ahead and say it--balls are not sexy. I don't care how big they are. Also, "seven inch plus cock" is really awkward description. (And that is far from the worst example in the sex scene. It just caused me to make faces at my Kindle.)

The Writing
Not great. There were passages that were written just fine, but others that made absolutely no sense. It did become distracting at times.
There are a lot of awkwardly worded phrases and I didn't type them all out (way too time consuming) but I did put many quotes in my status updates, if you're curious.

Overall, this book had a lot of issues. It's not terrible and it is free, so check it out if you feel so inclined, but for me, reading this one did not make me want to read the other ones, as I assume they are of the same quality.

I will also add, without spoiling, that I feel the majority of this book was a waste of opportunity, because I'm no more invested in this couple at the end of the book than I am around roughly 20 percent.

While I don't really like to read short stories (really short), I got this one free on kindle. When I got around to read it I found it to be a bit farfetched, simple on the plotline... untill the very end. I give it a plus for that, since it gave me hope the rest of the series might be a bit... more. Some of the phrases were really funny.

If the rest of the series is more fleshed out, I might give it a go. Not really in a mood for pointless shagging marathons lately. There are sooo many short books like that, so I hope this one would be different. :)

This book by Lucia Jordan was hard to put my finger on. The editing was a major distraction but the storyline itself was sort of choppy and un-emotional. So it was hard to really get the characters true feelings about the main heartthrob...then to have it end with a less than satisfying twist...just made me sigh and go "Ummm, ok....". I think if there was more emotion involved I might have rated it higher but the sex scene didn't really carry the weight for me (it was good, don't get me wrong but not good enough to carry the whole story). I want to read the author again but only if there is better editing and more meaningful dialogue/emotions.

Free Kindle Download. (You know how I'm a sucker for those.) This story was short and it wasn't all together bad. The fact that the whole thing had been a was definitely unexpected, and while it was a creative twist- I don't particularly enjoy reading stories (or watching movies for that matter) where you get to the end and realize the whole thing had been basically irrelevant.

This book is only 20 pages. It’s giving you a taste, so you will buy the next book.
Megan loves her job, and is good at it. She meets Heath the CEO of the company. No man has ever sparked her passion like heath.

Have you ever had a dream that felt real? The story line is about Health asking Megan up to his room, and the two heating up the sheets. She was disappointed to wake up, and find out it had all been just a dream.

Eh. I bought this on a whim for kicks.

It's short really short. This genre isn't my thing but every once in awhile ill give it a go.

I didn't realize it was a series.

It has a steamy scene in it, but I did feel the boos was a little Christian Grey.

If you are into short story erotic fiction give it a go... If not pass

I'm not sure if I will read the next ones or not... Although I am curious to see sharpens

This was a disappointing freebie. I didn't really much care for the characters, although there wasn't really anything to them so far, the content was kinda crude (that put me off), and there weren't really any emotions. This was super short and more of a short story than a novella. This was written well, even if I didn't like the content very much. Not my cup of joe and not something I would read again. Good Luck

This was a short little story. Very typical as far as characters and plot go. Average woman finds her CEO "so gorgeous." He tells her to come up to his room. She acts like she has a hard time deciding. They have sex. There is a unexpected twist at the end but it is lame.

While this was an enjoyable read to some degree, the ending just ruined it.
There were some funny parts and some parts that where just like 'what the hell did I just read'
The characters just didn't feel real enough for me to really fall in love with them and want to continue their story.
This just wasn't for me

Woooo!!!

This was a very sexy story. The detail in the sex scenes were great and could get a reader involved in the feelings of the characters. And i loved how the sex scene was just a dream. It was so detailed. I want to know what happens in the next book. Will the meeting between Megan and her boss Heath Mayer really happen like in her dreams?
