This was a hard read as it is sickening to me that people do those kinds of things to young children. I just can't understand it, especially when one parent covers for the other rather than protecting the child. Jodie had a difficult life and unfortunately stills struggles with unresolved issues from her past. I admire her for trying to work through it all and trying to do the right thing despite not getting support from her family.
