After a bad experience with the man that Raleigh envisioned spending the rest of her life with, her rough riding, gangster baby daddy, she is now out in the world with her guard up taking her frustration out on everyone around her. Even though years have passed she still can’t seem to get over the way her long lost baby daddy handled her and their only child. The craziest thing is with all the hurt she was still feeling, there was still a secret place in her heart where she held so much love for this baby daddy of hers. His disappearance is still unknown, and she is still holding on to the hope of one day him showing back up, but she doesn’t even know if she’ll even still feel the same way about him.
Amid her meeting someone that may possibly be the guy she’s been needing the whole time to heal her in the areas where she was hurting, strange things began spiraling. Not knowing if she should pursue the new guy or not, she’s going with the flow in hopes that she could find a little peace with him even if they don’t end up dating. The fear of one day running into someone that her long lost baby daddy has harmed in the streets haunts her almost every day of her life, but she does her best to live a normal life for her and her daughter’s sake and sanity.
Will Raleigh finally find some kind of peace, or will she continue holding onto this peace of hope that she will someday have her family back together? Only time will tell, and, in the meantime, Raleigh is doing everything to keep herself busy and distracted from her internal emotions of hatred towards men specifically that her baby daddy left her with. Separation anxiety is real, and everyone needs “someone” the question is will Raleigh ever find that someone or… will that someone find her?
4.5✨The title captured my attention immediately, but the story pulled me in and held my attention. The book was good; from the suspenseful elements and the potential love triangle between the characters, I don’t know who I want to see with the happily ever after. I respect Raleigh’s character and that she even gave Hamidi a chance after Torrence left her unexpectedly. Both men have something unique to bring to the table, but it is a matter of settling versus trying something new. I am so curious to see how things turn out for the characters. I enjoyed this story because it was different but also entertaining and engaging.
This was a 1 star story for me because the storyline was just terrible. So basically we meet a couple who is co-dependent but we’re calling it love cus their traumatic upbringings. Out of no where this man leaves and now our main character and her child are in shambles just distraught. They bounce back find some semblance of normalcy and peace. Our main character is on the pole cus you know she has a child to raise but she has a client who just wants to see her. It turns out it’s her long loss Baby daddy who left them for their safety. He isn’t ready to reveal himself UNTIL THE MAIN CHARACTER FINDS A MAN. Lmao so now he’s ready to get his family back. Mind you he hasn’t changed his ways he’s still a scheming sheisty but he doesn’t care anymore cus his baby mama is actually about to move on. The issue is the reason for his departure is valid the problem is, he’s done nothing to rectify his issues and ensure his family is safe. He basically is so worried about his BM finding a new man that he’s ready to ruin their lives and make them potential victims. Like that’s a HUGEEEE plot hole and make his disappearance pointless. Additionally while I get why our FMC would have trust issues sister was a bird and kinda wishy washy with her one friend like no you don’t have to be extra vulnerable and share your life but you do have to watch ya attitude from time to time when ole girl is allegedly your friend like miss ma’am was talking crazy to that lady from time to time .

This book has a very good storyline. It's different and intriguing. But the actual finished product was not very good. I gave 3 stars bc I did finish and am curious about part 2. Part 1 had A LOT of errors and inconsistencies. One huge one was the age of the daughter. Is she 12 or 14? Many missing word, misused words, run on sentences, incomplete sentences. I do not understand how publishers allow authors' work to be published like this. Authors put in time and effort to write a great story and then editors drop the ball. Publishers need to do a better job of getting quality editing services.
1. This could’ve been one book! 2. Who leaves a child at home alone at night ( the author could have easily wrote that the neighbor was the babysitter) 3. The whole friend storyline was unnecessary 4. They didn’t meet up until the very end of the book. Waste of time!!!
Germany is a go getter even in her line of work. Torrence got me heated. Why you do the things you do? Just Germany found her another real man here you go. This was a good read come on with part 2. I wanted know what Germany going to do?
Ohhh I can’t wait for part 2. I knew once she started getting comfortable with hamidi that Torrence wasn’t going to like that and he was going to reveal his self. Can’t wait to see how she handles the situation now that she knows it’s him.
This was a great read and the story was on point. All the characters did there thing and I just want Raleigh/germany to make the right decision going forward. Keep up the great work
Lemonica, oh my. How selfish is Torrence? I think Germany needs a chance to be happy. I realize things happen, but dang gone. Germany is such a good girl, I just hope this new situation doesn't turn ugly. I can't wait to see what's next.🤗🤗🤗
Life will lead you into spirals of turns that different personalities of people who will make you feel as if you can’t genuinely have trustworthy relationships.
This book was so boring and really would’ve been told in about 2 chapters. Cubana’s story line was unnecessary and I don’t like the FMC or her attitude.
I can’t even lie it took me a minute to be able to get into the book for some reason. I was right about my theory though. I love Hamidi for her. I said what I said! Now to see how things play out.
Now after 8yrs you want to come back and play boyfriend and baby daddy again I understand the reason you left but communication is law idk I can’t wait to see what happens next
