THE PATH TO SUCCESS IN TRADING

Rate this book
Have you studied strategies, backtested diligently, and put in the work — yet your account balance remains flat, or worse?

You find a promising strategy. You test it. You start trading. It works for a while. Then a losing streak hits, and a voice in your head says “something is wrong.” You tweak the rules. You search for a better method. You start the cycle all over again.

The problem was never the strategy. The problem is the game you think you are playing.

Most traders sit down every day trying to win the trade in front of them. They analyze, predict, enter — and hold their breath. When they win, they feel validated. When they lose, they feel something is broken.

This is the Micro-Game. And it is a game you cannot win consistently, because short-term results are governed by randomness.

The traders who are consistently profitable are playing a completely different game — one where individual wins and losses are irrelevant, and where losing streaks are not a sign of failure but proof that the system is functioning as designed.

This book teaches you that game.

Written by professional trader Yumi Sakura, The Path to Success in Trading provides a complete framework for shifting from the Micro-Game to the Meta-Game — the game of probability.

Think of it this even the most advanced app will crash if the Operating System is outdated. You may already have a winning strategy, but if you are running it on a system that treats every loss as a failure, it will never function properly. This book upgrades your Trading OS to one built on probabilistic thinking. Once installed, the strategies you have already learned can finally come to life.

What you will discover in this

Why a 10-trade losing streak does not mean your system is broken — and why your reaction to it is the real threat to your capitalWhy the stop-loss you just took was not a failure, but a trade that is building your long-term profitWhy checking your account balance mid-month is not just unnecessary, but actively working against youWhy the most consistently profitable traders in the world describe their trading with one boringA concrete, step-by-step process to build consistency — not vague advice about “controlling your emotions,” but a structural framework that addresses the root causeThis is not a strategy book.

There are no indicators, no candlestick patterns, no secret setups. If you are looking for a new strategy, this book is not for you. You likely already have enough strategies.

This book is for the trader who has the knowledge but cannot seem to make it work. The trader who knows what to do but keeps doing something else. The trader who has read every book on trading psychology but still cannot maintain consistency for more than a few weeks.

This book is the bridge between knowing and doing.

Stop searching for the “right” strategy. The right strategy is probably already in your hands. What is missing is the foundation that lets it work.

Your next investment should not be another course or indicator. It should be you.

Just starting out or struggling; be humble. Read this.

I have read more than 200 books on trading and trading psychology. I plan to read another 200. Yumi's book explains exactly what most losing and novice traders need to hear and understand to turn their trading to consistent profitability. I don't write reviews; fewer than 5, so far. But Yumi's book deserves more than a mention. It really gets straight to the point.

Simple and easy to read.

My favorite idea is: losses are not a bad thing. She emphasizes the fact that backtesting is crucial to find your edge, not only for the data but for the experience. It is not a one day job, you should backtest the same period multiple times. Ah and if youre afraid to lose when backtesting, then you have a bigger problem with yourself.

Very Insightful!

Great book for new traders or traders yet to become profitable. Fast/easy read, but it will take time to implement the recommended tasks. Eager to implement Yumi’s outlined tasks!
