Twisted Obsession is the second book in the Bound by Blood duet by A.S. Roberts so it goes without saying to please read Twisted Oath before this one. If you haven’t yet met Salvatore De Luca then you really must!!
This novel shares Dante Giordano and Giovanna De Luca’s story. The narrative is delivered in two parts and it is the second part - being in present-day times - that I found to be unputdownable. I absolutely loved all the twists and turns, many of which had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Scenes are set up superbly due to the history that is shared with the reader during the first part of the storyline.
I adore the connection between Dante and Giovanna. They have so many obstacles to overcome in order to find their HEA and there are many times when I questioned whether this would be possible. These individuals are not only members of two powerful families, but also there is no love lost between Dante and Salvatore De Luca (Giovanna’s brother) and their dislike for each other adds to both storylines in this duet perfectly. Twisted Obsession has all the passion and suspense that I would expect in a mafia story, and as always, I loved that I was unable to anticipate what was going to unfold.
Bound by Blood is the perfect title for this duet. If you enjoy your romance on the darker side then I highly recommend both books to you to read.

To say this story gripped me is a complete understatement, the power, the emotions, the darkness and the romance engulfed me! Yes life got in the way and I had to put it down, but it wasn't by choice. The duet has its twists and turns, suspense and some violence but this couple battle absolutely everything and everyone, sometimes including themselves. Their love is deep and lasting despite every obstacle and doubt. The escape it gave me was complete, I didn't hear or notice stuff going on around me I was just focussed on the words. A.S. Roberts smashed this story, my words just don't do enough justice to it.

In book 2 we learn the fate of Dante and Giovanna. They bring a whole lot of mystery to the series and innocence as well.
Giovanna is the apple of her nonno's eyes and with the deterioration of his health, we learn that she has every right to fear her destiny without him in her life.
Dante is filled with rage and in need of revenge for his father's death, the taking of his sister, and the demotion of his family's power.
I highly recommend reading the series in order to learn the history of the families included in these stories.

Twisted Obsession is a captivating rollercoaster from start to finish. Giovanna and Dante’s connection sizzled with undeniable chemistry, and their turbulent journey to be together was both thrilling and emotional.
The writing made me feel as though I was right there with the characters experiencing their highs and lows and soaking up the ambience of beautiful parts of the world. At times, I felt unsure about who Dante and Giovanna could trust, which only deepened my immersion in the story. AS Roberts masterfully balances romance, suspense, and raw emotion, making this book an unforgettable addition to the series.

This read is highly charged with emotion and packed full of angst, action and suspense.
Loyalties are tested, lies are unravelled and secrets are uncovered.
The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat, the thrill and excitement was addictive!

Book 2 of the series and it didn’t disappoint. I love this series. I love the length and detail the author goes into. The story is addictive. The characters not only pull at your heartstrings, but they bring out so much emotion in you. One minute I wanted to hug them and the next I wanted to throw them in the sea… 😂 the last 25% kept me on the edge of my seat. The family secrets, the betrayal, the two families coming together to fight a battle, A.S Robert’s did good. If you like a mafia romance then this series is one for you.

This story is compulsive reading with great characters and brilliant story telling.
Part 2 of the Bound By Blood duet by AS Roberts follows Dante and Giovanna as they battle their way through family loyalties, responsibilities and lies.
An exciting conclusion full of sudden twists and unexpected happenings to keep you on your toes and unable to put the book down.
Highly recommended.
