Growing up in the cold, wet, north of England, Nina Croft spent a lot of time dreaming of faraway sunnier places and ponies. When she discovered both, along with a whole load of other things, could be found between the covers of a book, her life changed forever.

Later, she headed south, picked up the perfect husband along the way, and together they volunteered to work in Africa. There they discovered a love of exotic places and a dislike of 9-5 work. Afterward they spent a number of years travelling (whenever possible) intermingled with working (whenever necessary.) Eventually they stumbled upon a remote area in the mountains of southern Spain and the small almond farm they now call home.

Nina spends her days reading, writing and riding her mare, Gencianna, under the blue Spanish skies—sunshine and ponies. She reckons this is proof that dreams really can come true if you want them enough.

Nina's writing mixes romance with elements of the paranormal and science fiction

BOOK ONE - Bound to Night
A fun Paranormal Romance with a bit of suspense?

“Did you know vampires find werewolf blood irresistible?” he whispered in her ear.
Her muscles locked, and then she pulled free of his grasp and whirled around to face him. “I am not a werewolf.” She enunciated each word clearly.
He studied her closely. He wasn’t wrong. “Yes, you are.”
“No, I’m not.”
The main character, Tasha was attacked at the age of 13 by a Werewolf and immediately captured by “The Agency” and thrown into a facility for testing. For eight years she survived the torture and testing… Her hope of escape has dwindled into nothingness…

Jack is a Vampire who went undercover and allowed himself to be captured by The Facility so that he could gather recon on the organization he was helping to take down. While in their custody, his handlers offered up Tasha for a meal… and his whole plan changed.

Now Jack will work to save the lovely young Werewolf despite the dangers surrounding them both… Not only The Agency, but also the fact that Vampires & Werewolves are enemies on the outside. If they escape, what then?
But he also needed information. After all, that was the point in his being here. He’d thought to coerce it out of the guards, but his first attempt had ended up with the man having some sort of aneurism and ending up bleeding from the ears. Then dead. Very inconvenient.

BOOK TWO - Bound To Moonlight
Contract Killers, Deception, & Poison…

“He was like the moonlight his people loved, a bright light in the darkness of night.
A new sister is found, but she’s working as a contract killer for The Agency.
Her latest target: Sebatian, Alpha Werewolf.

BOOK THREE - Bound to Secrets

Not a bad way to finish out the Trilogy, though I have a feeling that there will be a fourth book in the future of this franchise.

One of the things I enjoyed about this particular piece of Werewolf fiction was that once a human goes through “the change” The story does not end. All too often, the transition from human to creature is the cap on the end of the series to signal the HEA. This is not the case for this series, and I appreciate that.

The third book in the series didn’t have the most quotable moments, but it did have a heroine with Head Explody… Which was a new one for me (outside of the JTHM Graphic Novels, anyway)…

Bound to Night

My only complaint is that the story is too short!
Tasha has been a prisoner ever since she was thirteen. Right before her capture, she was bitten by a werewolf and now the scientists keep trying to get her to turn on the full moon. She is a telepath and they bring her to another cell to see if she can read the inhabitant. The man in the cell is a vampire and she can't read him so they leave her with him so he can feed off her.

Jack purposely got himself captured by the group called The Agency so that he can try to get some information on exactly who is leading and funding them. When they bring a woman to his cell that has been a prisoner there for eight years, he befriends her. He won't tell her why she can't turn into a wolf on the full moon since it is safer for her not to know. When he hears her screaming and knows they are torturing her to try to get her to turn, he decides it is time to escape and take her to his werewolf ally.

Bound to Midnight

Another short story. This one is about Anya. Anya is Tasha's sister, sort of. (All the sisters were conceived in-vitro.) She is an assassin for The Agency and her current mission is to kill Sebastian Quinn who she believes blew up the facility where her sister was housed. She realizes that he knows she is there and why and she tries to run, only to find herself surrounded by wolves. She falls and ends up unconscious, only to come to as a prisoner.

Sebastian can't figure out why it is that he wants to protect Anya. Not only was she out to kill him, but she is the reason three members of his pack have disappeared. He is sure the agency has them and that Anya knows where they are. When she falls ill and he realizes that there is something wrong with her, he is even more reluctant to hurt her. His wolf is saying mate, but how can he claim a woman who is the reason his pack is in jeopardy?

Bound to Secrets

The third book in the series is about Connor and Keira. Connor was a doctor who was turned werewolf while helping out in the ER one night. He has never wanted to be a monster and hates that he has to turn into one every full moon. He has been on the verge of suicide for some time now and Sebastian sends him to Scotland to track down a possible lead on one of Anya and Sasha's sisters. When he sees Keira on the moors and approaches her he is immediately mentally attacked and if it wasn't for him shifting into wolf form he would have died. It seems his wolf is immune to the woman's out-of-control power, but it is hard to communicate in that form and he needs to find another way.

Kiera has been hiding from the agency for years. She is living in an abandoned Keep on the moors and because of her power, she avoids all human contact. When she sees Connor change shapes she is astonished but glad that he can avoid having his brain fried by her power. When he comes up with a way to help her she is wary, but she knows it is only a matter of time before she is found and recaptured by The Agency. Can she trust him to keep her safe?

I really like this series because each story is easy to read and there is enough detail in the story for reference but not so much detail to drown the story. The main male werewolves and Jack the vampire are introduced in the first story, so you become familiar with them. Each of the female main characters are overcoming tragedy with the help of the male main characters and learning to trust people. I like the ribbing of the characters by each other, because it makes them more relatable. I recommend these books if your in the mood for werewolves, vampires, and character redemption. Thank you for the copy Nina!

I loved this set of three stories. The basic story line is slightly different to the normal vampire/werewolf novels, making it more enjoyable. The characters are realistic and all interactions and dialogue are natural. The love of each pair was sweet and sexy, just what the stories needed. Each story blended into the next and it was great to simply read until the absolute end. There must be more novels in this series, I’m about to go find out.

I was probably drunk when I wrote this:
Three pnr novellas. I can't claim they are deep nor fresh, but they are a nice read at a very good price.

It’s porn: sex with a barely-there story, too light/short to wrap it around. It’s not erotica in my book as there was absolutely nothing to make this interesting to read and I skipped all the sex scenes (so basically almost all the “text”).

Cleared my rating. I don’t think the original one is real, but it would be somewhat unfair to use the one star that I would give to it today.

What an intriguing book series. I received a free copy of the 3 books in this series. I couldn't put them down because I had to know what happens next. Definitely good reading, with some twists I wasn't expecting. You can get lost in this series, but not mind being lost. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
