Mace was being framed for murder. The only problem was, he couldn’t prove that he was innocent. Maybe running from his life and his club wasn’t the best idea, but he didn’t know what else to do. He couldn’t drag the Road Reapers into his mess, and as the club’s Prez, he was sure that he was doing just that. Asking for help wasn’t something that Mace was good at, but finding his sexy new lawyer standing at his motel door was a nice surprise. He was sure that Brooke Reyner could get him off in more ways than one, but she made it very clear that she was there as his lawyer and nothing more. That was a shame, but Mace knew that if he wanted his life back, trusting Brooke might be his only option.

Brooke wasn’t accustomed to meeting potential clients at shady motels, but she was assured that the meeting was on the up and up. Finding the big, bad biker standing on the other side of the door nearly made her swoon, and damn it, she didn’t swoon—ever. Reminding him to keep his hands to himself would be a challenge, but she was usually up for those. It was a good thing too, because getting Mace off was going to be a major challenge and one that she wasn’t sure she was up for.

A president that runs because he's scared is not an MC book. This is a romance with a motorcycle rider. Do what you will people!

DNF @ 20%

This author starts out with the immediate attraction too damn quick. We begin with pages of description and not much dialogue which could have been done in the reverse when the FMC met with the MMC so she could defend him. Lots of redundant information and I've just begun reading the book. Got to the point where her dad was telling her not to take the case and felt like I really wasn't enjoying the setup or the interactions, abrupt and no flow is how I would describe it.

Maybe I'm being too hard on the book but for now at least it's not a series I'm interested in.

Mace is book one of the Road Reapers MC by K.L. Ramsey. This is a fast paced romance story, the storyline is full of danger, angst, suspense, excitement, MC drama with plenty of steamy moments. The characters are intense ,charismatic and passionate. This is Mace and Brooke's journey which will have you on edge from beginning to end. Mace is President of the Road Reapers who will protect his club and brothers at all cost. One night at his bar will change everything for him, he is now being framed for murder as the cops refused to believe he is innocent. In order to clear his name he goes into hiding as he fears the cops are closing in to make an arrest. When he reaches out to a club brother for help, he hooks him up with Brooke Reyner a feisty, sexy tough lawyer. Mace is having a hard time when he meets Brooke as he desires Brooke for himself. Will he end up pushing Brooke away? Brooke finds she is no match for this sexy bad boy biker, can she put aside the differences between them and help him clear his name? Brooke ends up going head to head with her father who doesn't want her representing Mace who is a biker. Standing firm she informs her father that he has no say in her life or career as she has controlling shares of the firm. Danger soon surrounds both of them, which has Brooke informing Mace he will have to go to a safe house with her until they can find the person who is framing him. So many twists and turns in this gripping story as Mace will have to deal with a family reunion full of secrets that may help his case as an unhinged person has set all of this in motion. The more time these two spend together in hiding, the chemistry and passion between them becomes explosive as Brooke ends up giving her body and heart to Mace and soon has to face a life changing event. Will Mace and Brooke get their HEA as Mace has finally found love? As time is running out, Mace and Brooke come up with a plan to trap the person who framed him but will Brooke's life be on the line? Will Mace get to save her in time and stop this mentally unstable person from killing again? So excited for this new series as K.L. Ramsey has given her readers one hell of a story! Can't wait for the next book.

I love KL Ramsey books. This had so much potential but falls so short. It’s marked as 134 pages but only 86 are the actual story. The rest are the first chapters of other books

There was such potential. What happened with Brooke’s father. She fired him and he was gonna get a lawyer. No outcome. What happened with Maces father.

Definitely not enemies to lovers

I like this trope & was happy to give this new to me MC series a chance, in large part for this reason.
For me the story was contrived, predictable, little backstory on the characters and thankfully short so I could finish it quickly.
This book would probably appeal to the instalove, soft MC romance readers.

Mace is running. He is being framed. He meets this cute, hot lawyer in a trashy motel. Brooke loves her job. Now she has a new client. Mr president. Both coming from different world but come together to fight the battle they have coming .

I loved the story for Mace and Brooke.
The story flowed very well with the characters of the story. The storyline itself was great.
Would recommend this new series to my friends.
I can't wait to see what the other books in this series have for the readers.

It's 80 pages (ish). Mace is in facing murder charges. He hires a lawyer (who's pretty) There is a point i want to say it was roughly a quarter through that you can "see the writing on the wall" and know exactly how it's going to turn out. 😭 low key sad about that one.

Mace is in very big trouble, plus he is hiding from the police. His crew hires him a good lawyer. As soon as he starts talking to her, he falling for Brooke. Brooke is going to have a baby girl.

Mace and Brooke are insta interested. But Mace has a murder hanging over his head and Brooke is his lawyer trying to find the real killer to get him off. He would be looking at a long prison term. Not what she wants for him either.
