“Chunks of vomit quickly filled his mouth as it mixed with bits of dick skin that he had yet to swallow.”

This was a book about revenge, Papa received what he deserved.

A really horrific concept for several reasons. And I say that on a good note. A vengeful, killer doll? A serial rapist pedophile with active victims? Put those together and you got one nasty, gut-wrenching situation. Most of the story was body horror. Rape and such were pretty predominant early on, too, so reader beware. I liked the experience for the most part but just wanted some additional context to everything going on. I don't want to spoil much, but some additional background on previous victims, Rebecca's story, and, of course, our star, Dolly. Lots of solid dynamics and plot points, but none fully explored enough to have much of an impact. It was all just the tie'm up and torture'm kind of act, which only goes so far without other significant, supporting factors. Pacing was also fine, but it just needed to develop things further. Perfect for ruining your lunch.

What the fuck did I just read? Dollface is an extreme, splatter-punk, novella - which is only readable because the extremes are done as revenge against the most deplorable excuse for a “human being” ever (the character of ‘Papa’).

Dollface has seen Papa hurt/kill countless young girls, and has been unable to do anything about it - because she actually is an inanimate object; a doll. But now, she has awoken, and she is filled with anger and rage. She’s going to make Papa pay for all she has had to witness and endure at his hands.

I keep picking up these extreme horror books hoping for something that will actually scare or disturb me, and then having an experience akin to reading public bathroom graffiti. I guess if you find the word sphincter really edgy you’ll find this affecting. I just didn’t find anything in here all that crazy? Haunted doll rehash of the scene in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo where Lisbeth Salander gets her revenge on Bjurman. There’s more bodily fluids I guess, but all in a very 2EDGY4U way. I just kept feeling like that viral copypasta about having an iced coffee for breakfast. Ohhhhh my god this horror story is about ass trauma? That’s sooooooooo crazy, should we tell everyone? Should we throw a party? should we invite Eric Kripke?

Holy Fuck...what the bloody hell did I just read??
This was pretty brutal, and rather weird...but funny sometimes and enjoyable too.
It was one of those stories that I couldn't pull myself away from because I needed to know the conclusion.
This is not for everyone...so be warned...tread carefully and be aware of the trigger warnings before diving into what lies between the pages of this disturbing book!!!

4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐'s because Dolly was awesome!

I went into this extreme story pretty much blind, just based upon my knowledge that it's known as being a revenge extreme horror story. and it is that...... I'm not quite sure what I expected, but it wasn't this... I suppose I didn't take the title literally.... it's gross, violent, and full of shock factor.... however, it felt much shorter than the 99 pages... so I guess time flies when you're having fun????

This book was so bad. TERRIBLY written and terrible storyline. Fr just an excuse to write about pedophilia, author tried to make it seem like a revenge story but it just felt fetishized. I had to DNF this book, it’s not worth ur time trust me. I wish I could give this shit 0 stars. I’m no stranger to extreme horror / splatterpunk either, this book is just so incredibly bad. Spare urself the trouble.

Grabbed this on kindle and gave it a go. My new job has little bits of time where I can read, but not quite long enough to pick up a book, so this short read was perfect.

This is an extreme horror story, which is not usually my cup of tea. And honestly, that just scratches the surface. It’s extremely horrific, that’s what it is!

An abused doll comes to life, seeking revenge on papa for everything she has seen and endured. His latest victim is still tied up in the basement, and Dollface is just in time to recruit her help—rescuing her, and possibly traumatizing her herself.

Extremely sickening, and over the top, Dollface makes papa feel each and every regret possible. This story made me have to stop reading more than once, setting it aside to focus on something else. The descriptions hit me right in the stomach, unsettling and viscous. I will never be able to view anything cherry the same.

Regardless of how horrific it can feel, remember that papa deserves what’s coming to him…so good for her.

When it’s time to get your revenge on a disgusting person who has done unspeakable things to you and others, enjoy their slow agony because they deserve it. Revenge is SWEET.

Yet another short, quick read today from the same author of Eight Cases of Jane, which I reviewed yesterday. Extreme, disgusting, vile, everything you could want in an extreme horror book this one has. Let me state again I LOVE some female rage and I love the “good for her” girl trope. I love seeing people get revenge it’s just so sweet and when we talk about revenge this book definitely has it! Also, once again, love the cover.

If you’re an extreme horror fan and want a quick read, this one is for you. Please check trigger warnings before diving in though!

This is a short and definitely not sweet revenge story about someone who absolutely deserved it. It’s a fun take on the genre, though the sensitive subject matter might not be for everyone. The details provided add to the satisfaction of the revenge, making it all the more impactful. Honestly, the most offensive part for me was watching perfectly good syrup go to waste—0/10 for that! But the rest of the story? Amazing.

Oh, and I’ve now found my favorite insult: “you fucking dollop of dick curds.”

This was my first glimpse into this author’s work, and all I can say is wow! R.J. Powell did a great job telling a unique story that had me gagging from page 1, which is exactly what I want in my extreme horror. There were a handful of “wtf did I just read” moments which again, is a good thing in my opinion.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this was book 1 in a 3 book series and I’ve already started on the 2nd. You can probably read this in an hour or less, so if you’re looking for a quick, fun read that doesn’t take itself too seriously, definitely give this one a shot!
