The world of the Föld is filled with so many different people. Reading all of the short stories as well as the full length book are a great way to really dive into this fantasy filled world.

Vai’Lura is the headmaster of a legendary combat academy Faizti’Tan. As the story progresses we learn more about her as a person and Faizti’Tan as it pertains to her.
The Headmaster is 67 pages, so longer than The Scion, but it takes those extra pages and uses them to weave the story. Overall, I loved the characterization and introspection of this story. I was able to see bits of myself in Vai’Lura which I think is what every author tries for though they don’t always succeed.
There are several quotes that I’ve highlighted in my book that caused me to stop and think. Because it is a story that makes you think in such a short space of time. And it is a story that I have already reread and come to different thoughts about.
