A Lone Wolf Pilot, a Debt of Honor, and Pirates on the Federation Frontier
Fighter pilot Beau Ward was always willing to bend the rules to get the job done. His “independent” attitude got him bounced around the Federation Fleet for years—until he took it too far.
A long-standing debt has been called in, and he’s the one who must pay it back.
Beau’s actions land him a last chance command in the frontier system of Tardex with the order to assist an old friend and shipmate whose family has been torn apart by pirates.
Tasked with commanding a collection of misfit pilots, Beau must gather the squadron, scrounge for ships, and rescue the captured colonists before it’s too late.
A Pricolici engineer, a former scrounger from the Skaine mob, a grizzled Marine sergeant, and a green recruit. What could go wrong?
Can Beau hold Lone Wolf Squadron together long enough to stage a rescue?

okay the lone Wolf squadron complete collection is amazing first of all. it is also one major battle from beginning to the very end to manage to stay with that long and needless to say it is no short feat of getting through it you are either all in or not all in. there's some incredible characters particularly Charlie and the other girl that ends up being they end up being best friends you did not expect from the get-go. it's taking me probably 4 to 8 weeks to get this red and I started this long before the current challenge we have going on in our group started so I had almost a month behind me before I got to this point now so it's been intense. only start this book if you plan on finishing it or the series and hang in there you're going to need it.
This was a great series. The characters were very interesting and well developed. The story was different very well written. There was a lot of intrigue with many plot twists. There were many references to other movies and TV series. The old sitcom Leave it to Beaver was on going and prominent. Other references were: Spaceballs, Star Trek Borg, Superman, Han Solo, Kelly's Heroes, Stargate, Tombstone, Clint Eastwood westerns, Star Wars Return of the Jedi, Attack of the Clones, and Vanilla Ice. Overall the story was a very fun read. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and hope that Jamie will revisit it and add some more stories. Two of the funniest points in the series is where the werewolf literally rips off the tails of her enemies and beats them to death with their own tails. Hilarious. I really enjoyed this series and I highly recommend it.
A bit different from my usual reading matter, but I was booked from page one. A small squadron of "marshals" sets out to patrol a lawless area in space with no back up. That they succeed bears witness to Their determination that they will bring the law to this lawless part of space. Gradually, through grit, determination and brilliant leadership they bring peace to a troubled area. great storytelling, wonderful imagination, held me too the very last page.
Not a bad series. Some plot holes, but not too many. Definitely pop culture references and if you're into science fiction, you'll see the obvious parallels. I want to know more about Earth, there were some references to it, something to do with Tabitha? Also, more background on her as well as Charlie and her nanocytes would be appreciated.
A bit of sci Fi, some space action, some ground action, intrigue,
Getting to know the characters was a push as they came on scene quickly, yet over the course of the many books they jelled and became a force for what was right. Nice to find out if Gears could get the inertia limiters from the spheres to the Marshalls craft.
The narrative flows seamlessly, with dynamic, high-octane scenes strategically positioned throughout the storyline. Each chapter captivates the reader's attention, creating an immersive experience that compels one to continue reading. The author's masterful storytelling ensures an engaging and thrilling journey from start to finish.
I thought that although each book could stand on its own with excellent plots and enough mystery the whole series kept me reading and wanting more. Al in all an excellent read. I enjoyed it.
I definitely would recommend this series for anyone who likes science fiction. The characters are great and the action keeps you reading and wanting the next book.
An outstanding intergalactic adventure. Great characters with realistic situations and lots of action. I'm glad I went back to reread the ones I had missed. I look forward to the next one.
Great series in the beginning then too much cussing in the last couple of books. I enjoyed it but had to shift words fit my way of thinking. Also, what happened to Zarek? Got left hanging there twice.
The problem with these series that run 9-10 books long is that by the final book you just want it to be over. This had a good general story with interesting characters but there are just to many starship fights and hand to hand combat scenes that it just gets too repetitive
