A really good read
It felt like such a quick read for a series, even though it took me a few weeks. Thea is definitely a force to be reckoned with, & I'm glad she took a different path than the one I originally assumed she would. We see her mature a bit as she adds friends into her collection of family & learning to trust her instincts. Mia may not be as magically strong, but her true strength lies elsewhere. Kira is such a fun character, & I loved seeing her adapt. Brandon & Jax add stability & precision to the team, & Claire is their clear head with a caring attitude. I won't say anything about Folsom to prevent spoilers! Dominick is a breath of fresh air to a stodgy system. So glad I got the boxed set so I could roll to the next one & not have to go searching. The only miniscule thing I didn't care for was the speaking with their eyes. I found that too weird with the "conversations" they were able to have with only a look. I'm sure other readers found it to be fine, though. I do recommend giving this a read. No spice, mild romance, strong characters, found family.

This one is so hard to rate for me. The biggest reason is that I went into it expecting a spicy romantasy. That's literally the categories I filtered on amazon. If that's what you're wanting too, this likely isn't the book for you. There was no spice, and almost no romance. It's more a fantasy, or fantasy with a smidge of romance. Adjusting expectations helps a lot. The blurb is spot-on describing it too, wish I'd read it beforehand.
Anyhow, taking that category in mind, it was really good for that kind of book. A lot of action/adventure, magic, political machinations, villains, baddie FMC, strong characters, close friend group/found family, and twists.
I recommend for ppl looking for a hella good fantasy.

Compulsive reading.
This series draws you in to Theas' world so you can share in her growth, both magically and personally. Getting to know her friends along the way is another kind of magic.
All the characters, good and bad, are so well crafted that you find yourself believing in them totally.
The battle scenes are so well described, it's as if you are there. You want to jump into the book and start throwing your own magic to help.
If you are a fan of Michael Anderle, Martha Webb or any of Michael's publishing house fantasy writer's, this series and author need to be in your top 5. I am off to look for more of her work. It helps that she's British, loves Jaffa Cakes and isn't becoming an Americanophile.

Witch Mage
Fear of things unknown and magic users revealed will cause ordinary people to strike out with hatred and violence. Corrupt government officials, power hungry magic users, and and a band righteous people who are the only ones who can stop the genocide of all witches and foil the plan of hatred. Theadora Blackwood grows into the leader of the this group. Her magic and reputation as a witch mage make this a great read with complex characters and action galore. Highly recommend this series!

Twisting and turning
Read book one as a freebie and loved it, so getting the box set was a no brain!! Really enjoyed reading Thea's adventures and the family she makes...and the enemies she vanquishes! Mystery, adventures, battles, love, and closure...so much is included and once you start, you won't be able to put it down!!! These two have yet again delivered a wonderful world and characters!!

Great read!
As an avid reader & fan of supernatural fantasy, I've read many books... not all good. Grammatical errors & shoddy story lines ruin books for me. This series grabbed my attention from the first chapter & held it to the end! That is the best compliment I can give, and it's well-deserved. I'll be looking for more good reads from these two.

Too long
MC was a brat, only thought about herself, but, I loved th other MC's! I knew who the villain was in book 1. I guessed about aid being involved but not to that extent, this book was so boring at times and stopped reading, only read when waiting in doctors offices for the kids, just glad I didn't pay for the series and would not recommend.

Abso-freaking-lutely My Favorite Series this Year!
I loved this Series! From the very first book to the last period in the last Epilogue, I've been hooked!!
Thea, Mia, Kira, Claire all strong women with BOTH strength and femininity!! Jax, Brandon, Dominic strong men who Understand their women!! Ahh what a wonderful world!!

Captivating
Watching Thea grow from a confused, frustrated and frightened girl, secrets being kept from her, targeted by greedy and overly ambitious maniacs, into the world-changing powerhouse of vengeance and justice she became, made for a can't-put-down just another chapter kind of story that I can never resist.

Beautifully done
I really enjoyed reading the series. The character development was exceptional. Each book was different enough to keep you wanting to continue turning pages. I highly recommend it.

loved the story line
Read all 8 books. I liked how it flowed nicely from one book to the next. I especially like how to did closure at the end of the book by tying up loose ends. Very easy/enjoyable read.

I enjoyed the stories of all of the characters. They were realistic and solid and believable! Love the setting and wish I could go there and check out the bakeries.

I enjoyed the entire series, although I never like the use of “f**k” in any context in books, I don’t feel it’s necessary language. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys sci fi and fantasy books.

I had trouble putting it down
The story is very well written. It flows perfectly with build ups that don't linger. The books were divided in an easy to follow flow. I recommend this series to anyone that likes kick butt action with lots of heroes. You will love the main couple!

Excellent read
It was a fun read once I started it. I really had trouble putting the books down and doing things that needed to be done. I truly enjoyed the series and grew to root for the characters as they fought evil throughout.

Slow moving
2000pages is too long. Character development was slow and frankly they weren't that interesting. Authors had enough ideas for 500 pages at best.
