Pilfered pegasi, magic marauders, and a cursed clock ticking down to a Celtic Armageddon. Could things get any worse for this irreverent, gun-slinging druid master?"Grab your tickets my friends—this ride is well worth the cost of admission." ~Aaron M., ARC reader
Colin McCool here, back from the Hellpocalypse to revive the druid order and save all humankind.
The first step? Mentoring new druids. But to do that, I’ll need a place to train them.
So, I stole a fortress and some land from the Fae gods in Underhill. Then I turned it into my new druid academy and planted a magic oak in the middle.
But wouldn’t you know it? The gods have decided they want it back. The nerve, amirite?
Suddenly, some Elric wannabe is knocking at my front door, and a bounty-hunting rakshasa's hot on my tail. To top it off, my immortal benefactor won’t help me out until I do his dirty deeds.
Am I worried? Meh. The real question is, can I make things any worse?
I prefer to look on the bright side, but as we say in Texas… hold my beer.

M.D. Massey describes himself as the prototypical INTJ. His eclectic background provides him with a rich tapestry of experiences to draw on when crafting fiction, as evidenced by the believable worlds and relatable characters he creates.
As a former Army combat medic (91B), professional martial arts instructor (Krav Maga, JKD, FMA), and women's self-defense instructor, he possesses a unique understanding of close combat, firearms, and criminal violence that few authors can match. This knowledge provides an element of realism to the Druidverse™ novels, setting them apart from other fantasy series.
Mr. Massey lives in the Texas Hill Country with his family and a huge American bulldog that keeps him company while he writes. When he's not in his office or at the local coffee shop writing, you can find him in his garage pummeling inanimate objects or knife-fighting with his friends.
Colin faces his worse enemy yet. A war goddess who is after revenge for the death of her sister. You see, it does not matter to her that her sister went to kill Colin. It only matters that the Druid killed her. Also, there is her love of the fight. He is always in disfavor with the gods and no mater what he does it only gets worse. To protect everything he must make amens with someone who will likely want to kill him as well. Great addition to the Druid’s story.
Our favourite druid does it again - seriously, how does one person manage to annoy so many different Gods? In this absolute thrill ride of a story, Colin has to protect his home, his oakling and his people from a deadly invasion - a fight that could well cost him everything, including his life.
Fast plot, lots of action and a good sprinkling of intrigue, this amazing book will have you gripped from beginning to end.
Massey has done it again; the second I start a book, I get sucked into the plot as if I lived in Colin's Austin. (I'm not idiot enough to get too close to the battles.)
I can't wait for the next installment!!! Highly recommend you start at the beginning of the first series. It moves quickly.
Delivery always dependable and exceeds expectations
Such a good storyteller is Mr. Massey. This yarn has many sub-plots or I guess simultaneous storylines thanks to the teaching of Gwydion. I appreciate the pop culture references, and the complex relationships.
I like how Colin has grown and worked on his powers and he has this push pull with having all the power but also not wanting to be a god. He's realizing some now and working hard to prove that he can do what needs to be done and remain human
The Druid, A Druidverse Urban Fantasy Novel (The Who can Cycle Series Book 2)
No not for me, read both books, found them both slow, and full of Gaelic sayings which as l don't understand Gaelic, a bit irritating! So no I won't be reading third book.
