I was definitely on pins and neddles like who killed Kaycee. The author did a good job of making me think that it was multiple people. And them twists and huge plot twist at the end, had me like I know you lying. Troy got on my nerves, Nate got on my nerves. Thought Kaycee was innocent, until I realize she wasn't. Chile I was on the edge of my seat trying to find out who the killer was and why.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Tanisha Stewart did an amazing job with this book a part of her thrilling Red Series! This book blew my mind! There were so many twists that I never saw coming! The book gripped me from the start with Katrina, Troy, and Kaycee all the way to the end with Chester, Josslyne, and Maria. This book was so good that I read it in one sitting. I would highly recommend this book, especially if you are a psychological thriller fan!

Ma'am, I sat down to start this read, and did not move until I finished. It pulled me in quick, and I couldn't stop. Mind blown!! 🤯 I knew we were in for a treat in the first chapter, after learning of Troy and Katrina's connection. But nothing could have prepared me for the exhilarating journey you took me on! 😤

When Kaycee doesn't show up to her wedding, and the search for her begins, it seemed everyone was a suspect. 👀 The twists and turns in this thang were wild, and every time I believed there was a lead the plot thickened, and I was filled with more questions. The way I spoke to my kindle like I was a crazy person makes me laugh now. But while I was reading, I was like yeah you guilty, why would you do that? Then she would put a doubt in my mind and lead me to someone else, to start the process all over again. I could not believe the evil, manipulative, and calculated things that were happening in the dark, and all the people who were involved! Whew...🤯

Now Miss Maria has an ace in the hole, and she is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Josslyne done f'd around and found out, that she ain't the only woman with a plan. 😂 The conclusion to this is going to be epic, and I can't wait. Great job Tanisha!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

A short read with lots of plot twists. This story reminds us we never really know people. The phrase don't judge a book by its cover, no pun, comes to mind.

The Bridesmaid

At this point I am convinced if at some point the line "Just know that I will call, and when I do,
you'd better answer." with the transfer of a Burner Phone the series will continue. With as
many books I've read I have yet to catch a repeater. I have yet just to lose interest. What has
happened is that I'm sitting down giving all my attention to the "movie" that is going through
my head as I'm reading the book. No, seriously if you can't see the visual why even read the book.

That Chester oh yeah he thought he was slick with his ole manipulative self.
Troy I wish he would grow a pair.
Katrina I truly felt sorry for her.
Josslyne with friends like that I don't need enemies.
Maria oh she slick and in charge shocked the heck outta me.

Just when you think you have things figured out, you are blown away by another incident. You connect well with the characters. This is a real page-turner that you will not want to put down. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was horrible! I couldn’t really get into the story because of the narration and the sound was off at times. I had to adjust the volume to even hear some of the chapters. Not sure if I will finish the series.

Wow, this is my second read from The Red Series, and it did not disappoint. It’s a little hard to talk about this book without spoiling it, so I’ll only mention a few things about the plot and then focus on how it made me feel.

We follow two sisters, Kaycee and Katrina. It’s Kaycee’s wedding day, but everything goes horribly wrong. Both sisters and everyone in their circle have secrets. This is a psychological murder mystery/thriller that’s so twisty I’d bet money you won’t figure out the killer until the author wants you to. This was a plot twist done right.

I immersive read it and had some issues with the audiobook. The sound quality seemed off. I would recommend not listening to it, but I don’t know if I disliked it enough to say that definitively. That’s all I’ll say. I’m really loving this author right now.

3.5 rounded up!

I ate this book right on up. I think I’m starting to like multi POV more and more cause it adds so much to the story. I felt like I knew who the killer was and I was dead ass wrong! Guessing plots is the only time I enjoy being wrong in life lol. There were so many twists in this and I think it flowed very well. I felt like it was a little rushed at certain parts but overall a nice and quick, thrilling read! I had a great time with it :)

Ooooh, chile!!

This book!! Just get comfy, because once you pick it up, you're going to be in it until it's done. So just cancel your day. Tanisha just drops twists like the rain drops from the sky. She don't care about any of her readers' psychological well-being 😂 by the end of the first chapter my mouth was hanging open like, "She's... wait, WHAT!?" It's messy. It's fast-paced. It's twisty. And you're gonna like it.

In her words: a messy messy tale! And I enjoyed every word of it!

Ms. Stewart, I forgive you for making me wait!
It was worth it!
You had me on edge trying to figure out whodunnit.
Girl, I had no clue. Then the twist, the second twist, and then another twist… I don’t drink but I feel like I need to start.
As always, loved it!

Suspense and plot twists

I’ve enjoyed this series, but this one here is my favorite. The drama began early on, causing me to point fingers at whom I assumed was the culprit. This is a memorable page turner with well written characters and unpredictable situations.

The twist in this book was everything I didn't know I needed to listen to on a wash day. My hair is set. This is a very unpredictable installment of this (Red series), It depicts how often things are rarely as they seem to be.

forget the wedding bells; this story is all about the alarm bells! the messiest characters of 2026 are waiting for you in The Bridesmaid.

stop what you’re doing and add The Bridesmaid to your TBR immediately. if you need a book that is 100% messy, high-stakes drama, and popcorn-worthy chaos, this is it. Tanisha Stewart has crafted a tangled web of deceit, bad decisions, and secrets that will keep you absolutely glued to the page.

𝘮𝘺 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

𝘮𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸: this book lives up to the hype. it follows kaycee, her sister and her fiancè along with a few other characters, they’re preparing for a wedding..but let me tell you, every single character is walking a tightrope. this story is a masterclass in how one bad choice can spiral into absolute disaster, leaving a wreckage of lives in its wake. yes, you will be frustrated. yes, you will want to shake sense into every person in this book, but that’s what makes it so addicting! the sister dynamic between kaycee and katrina is complex, navigating that thin line between loyalty and ultimate betrayal. you see how deep-rooted family ties can be both a blessing and a curse when secrets start coming to light.

i thought i had the twist figured out. i really did, and while i was close to the mark, the final reveal blindsided me completely. the plotting is so expertly done that even when you think you know what’s happening, you’re still wrong. prepare to gasp out loud. a massive shout-out to the audiobook narration—it elevates the tension and makes that “on-edge” feeling even more intense! if you love a good cliffhanger that leaves you screaming for more, prepare yourself. i finished the last page (or listened to the last word) and instantly needed book two. in MY opinion, her friend needs to be in jail as well! i was so mad at her, no money in the world will have me do no crazy stuff like that.

if you’re looking for a psychological thriller/drama that delivers maximum frustration and entertainment, grab this one!

Tanisha Stewart? MA’AM!
This was EASILY the messiest book in the red series thus far! What?! From start to finish, every single character was EGREGIOUS. My mouth was open at every single character in this storyline.
If I wasn’t addicted to this series before? I’m sold.

“When did we become so toxic?”

-unhinged MCs
-fast paced, addictive storyline
-7/10 audiobook
-chaotic relationship dynamics
-“ditched” wedding
-“who did it?” trope
-secrets & planned deceit
-unreliable narrators, “who is telling the truth?”
-unpredictable twists & turns
-check your trigger warnings (sexual assault, violence, murder)

While there was murder & violence throughout this story, it wasn’t heavy on the thriller aspect. If you are a reader who thrives off of a messy storyline then, I would recommend this.

T. Stewart is not known as the “Queen of Plot Twists” for no reason! I need a copy of this on my bookshelf, ASAP.

Every Wedding Has It's Drama!

Everybody is suspect! This is my introduction to Tanisha Stewart's work, and what a great first impression! This murder/mystery who-done-it is full of twists and shocking revelations. I was engrossed from the first page to the last. None of the characters in this story are to be trusted. There is no spice or erotica but I didn't miss it because of the messy drama that unfolded on each page and I was too busy trying the figure out WTF was going on and who the h*ll did it. I look forward to reading more books from her catalog. 10/10, highly recommend!

Wow

This book was good and crazy because the sister was all over the place. Homegirl was living her life behind the life. Troy was slow as hell and he was so obsessed with being a Katrina, but he didn't even see what was going on right in front of his face. Katrina wanted to hate her sister so bad instead of realizing and paying attention to her sister need help. Kaycee really was hiding everything she was going through. She really didn't have nobody in her corner. She really was going through all that by herself her so-called friend wasn't really her friend. Chester really was a crazy man and I was happy he got exactly what he deserves.

The Bridesmaid is the kind of psychological thriller that makes you side eye everyone breathing. Friends = Suspect. Family = Suspect. Background characters minding their business..Definitely suspect. I never once landed on the right person and that’s the beauty of it. Tanisha Stewart layered secrets on top of secrets until the truth felt impossible to reach.

This story proves that betrayal doesn’t always come from enemies it comes from the people closest to you. Tight, fast paced and wickedly executed it keeps you guessing until the very end. The Red Series continues to remind me that human interaction is in fact a contact sport and I am safer at home with my books 🤣🤣🤣
