Lauren is mine. I've claimed her body and now I need to claim her heart. I need to convince my angel that with me is where she belongs. But when her mother labels her as a missing person, I have no choice but to take her with me. Mexico should be our new start. But the police double their search, refusing to let me get away so easily. If they find us before we reach the border, will my angel choose to stay with me? And how many bodies am I willing to leave behind if she doesn't? I once told my angel I'd kill to keep her. It seems life is determined to make me keep my word.
I love the plot. I love the way it is written. I love the characters. I love the tension. I love the action. I love the love.
What I don't love, is that I finished this book. I want more. No, I NEED more. The craving that the dude in this book has for Lauren, is what I feel for this story. Like, HELLO GIVE ME MORE PLEASE.
I got this book as an arc and am voluntarily leaving all these thoughts. It was great. It was awesome. I'm obsessed.

I hope I’m not spoiling too much by quoting the deliciously wicked dedication that kicks off this book, but let’s be honest, it perfectly encapsulates Xavier and the whole, wonderfully crazy Lasher family:
"Did you miss me? Prove it. Roll over. Put that ass in the air. And spread those pages for me. Show me how much of a good girl you are. No? Tsk. Someone needs to be punished."
Hehe! If that doesn’t give you a little thrill, you might need a pulse check! 😏 Once again, Mae takes us deep into the whirlwind of Zs—because this family seems to be allergic to any other letter of the alphabet. We’ve got Zaine, Zoe, Zaira, ten later Zaiden, Zachary, Zade… and now a Mexican cousin named Zion. I mean, come on, Mae! We get it—you love a good Z! Thank heavens for Xavier and Xander (though I laughed out loud when Mae accidentally called him Zavier at one point. Oops!). But let’s talk about Xavier. Still on the run, Xavier’s obsession with Lauren blazes as hot as ever. Honestly, I started to wonder if they’d ever leave the bedroom. The man is a walking inferno of passion, and let’s just say, they were… thoroughly attached. 🔥 Did someone mention spice? Oh honey, the Lashers never have a shortage of that. Inevitably, the bittersweet parting with Xavier’s reunited family—especially twin brother Zaine—had me feeling all kinds of emotions. And I wasn’t the only one. Can Xavier keep himself in check as they travel down Mexico way? LOL. Nope, not even close. It took just one guy glancing at Lauren, and BAM—psychotic Xavier was back in action, protective and possessive in all his unhinged glory. And honestly? That’s the Xavier we know and love. It’s that laser-focused, ride-or-die obsession with the women they love that makes the Lashers so captivating. Sure, they’re borderline crazy, but there’s something undeniably romantic about that—unless, of course, you’re the poor soul who dares to get in their way. Yikes! As things settle (for now) in Mexico, I can’t help but wonder what’s next for Xavier, Lauren, and maybe even Tito. One thing’s for sure: it’s going to be hotter than a spicy enchilada down there, and I am so here for it. Bring on the next chapter of Lasher madness! 🌶️ I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Loved the continuation of this storyline, but did find this a little similar in vein to the others and not as enticing as they were. Overall though, it's well written and the spice is lush. You do really bond with the characters and I feel for them. I am intrigued as to whether this will go into another book!

I really enjoyed this one and found the plot to really shine through a lot more than the first part of this couple’s story. We get to see more of their layers and more of their bond grow. We get introduced to new characters and how they relate to the world that’s been created. The writing flowed nice and smooth, making this another quick easy read. Please check your trigger warnings before picking this book up.
Xavier is on the run from the police since he broke out of jail, and he doesn't plan to lose either his freedom or Lauren in the chase.
Mae K. Knight always delivers the spice in this series, and Keeping Xavier is no different! 🥵🥵🥵
Keeping Xavier is the continuation from Escaping Xavier and starts off right where the last book finishes. While not only do we get delicious spice in this book, but also more of the Lashers and extended family in the plot. We also get different POV's from the other characters in the book, not just Xavier's and Lauren's.
I will say that this book ends Zaine's and Zoe's relationship story pretty well. I definitely felt the energy of the focus switch to a potentially broader world with what/who was introduced. Don't worry though, all the characters are tightly woven within this series, and cameos will be throughout. I just think the Z&Z plot took a final step back to let the others shine.
I am in love with this series and all the MMC's, but I loved how obsessed Lauren started to become over Xavier. Even with this book being more plot heavy than the other books in the series (probably because there is more movement), their relationship definitely progressed as well. Xavier deserves all the love and devotion, since he put his brother above his happiness, and now he can focus on his own. 🥰
I can't wait for Xander's book in the series, because that poor man has done everything, for everyone, and I want him to find his obsession next!
⟣Tropes⟢ ✅ Touch her and 💀 ✅ Multiple POV’s (first person) ✅ He falls first ✅ HEA

I was so excited to see Xavier and Lauren's return!
Xavier must leave as the police want him for kidnapping Lauren so they need to figure out how to get out of the country without being caught.
I really like that Xavier never veered from his toxic obsession with Lauren and took her with him despite the dangers ahead (instead of leaving her behind because he thought it was 'the right thing to do')!
There was some plot but it was heavy on the smut and I was all here for it! Mae always knows how to write spicy scenes that will keep you wanting more!! The chemistry between these two was amazing and I loved their banter.
Seeing other characters from the other books related to this series was nice! I def recommend this book

Keeping Xavier is the third book in Mae K. Knight's Lasher Brothers Duet. It is not a standalone – to fully enjoy the story, it’s highly recommended to read at least Escaping Xavier, and ideally also Surviving Zaine, beforehand.
The plot of Keeping Xavier picks up directly where Escaping Xavier left off, and from the very first page, I was completely hooked again. I also love how the Daniels Duet (Claiming Sarah and Meeting Dalton) is interconnected with the Lasher Brothers Duet. Mae K. Knight does an amazing job of building an entire world around the main characters.
The dynamic between Lauren and Xavier is absolutely electrifying, and I can’t get enough of the two of them!
Like all of Mae K. Knight's books, Keeping Xavier is incredibly gripping and spicy as fuck. Mae’s writing style is smooth and keeps the tension high throughout.
Spice rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Tropes:
Touch her and... Dominant, obsessive, and possessive MMC Multiple POVs
Mae K. Knight has done it again with Keeping Xavier! Her books have a way of pulling you in and refusing to let go until the very last page. I devoured this story just as quickly as I did Escaping Xavier, and if you haven’t read that one yet, make sure you start there—this series is a must-read in order.
Lauren and Xavier’s story continues with more intensity, passion, and danger. I loved seeing the growth in their relationship—how Lauren begins to understand Xavier’s unyielding devotion and how he grapples with the lengths he’s willing to go to keep her.
If you love a dark, romantic, and suspenseful journey, Keeping Xavier will not disappoint. Mae K. Knight’s storytelling is addictive, and this book proves once again why she’s a favorite of mine.
Thank you to the author and BookSirens for the ARC!
It was good. Honestly I was a tad bit terrified of this book. I thought maybe it would end badly or our protagonist would be harmed, but I am glad that it was just the same as the first book with Lauren and Xavier. It was happy and spicy and exciting.
I liked how different the story was from what happened with Zaine and Zoe. I didn't want it to be the same cookie-cutter plot that was recycled. These characters were different and I was happy with where their story left off. They weren't in the same place as Zaine and Zoe. And weren't ready for the same things.
It did feel a little bit forced at some points, like it dragged a bit. But I did enjoy spending more time with these characters.
Keeping Xavier brings a menagerie of characters and you absolutely have to read Surviving Zaine and Escaping Xavier and it would be helpful to read Claiming Sarah but it’s not necessary. Keeping Xavier takes on the path of Xavier and Lauren making their escape to Mexico since he’s a fugitive and she is now a missing person. We get to see this from multiple perspectives. There is crazy amounts of steam, but it also had me questioning if Xavier is really worth all he has put Lauren through. But it seems like the author is setting up further books that surrounds this messed up family thanks to a few new family members introduced and I can’t wait to read them!
I found this book to be quite enjoyable, as I did with the first two books of this series. With book three the plot stands out more prominently than in the initial part of the couple's journey. The narrative delves deeper into their complexities and showcases the development of their relationship. New characters are introduced, enriching the established world and their connections within it. The writing is fluid and engaging, resulting in a swift and effortless reading experience. It is advisable to **Check the trigger warnings** prior to starting this book.
Keeping Xavier by Mae K Knight is a dark romance novella and the the second part of Lauren and Xavier story. Oh my goodness I did not know their story could get any better. These two are just phenomenal together and this author knows how to bring the magic. This little novella about Xavier and Lauren gave you another peek into their world. It full of possessive chemistry. My only complaint is I want more.
Really good! A quick read with lots of action and spice. Xavier is completely unhinged and of course Lauren is the only one that can pull him back out of his head. I like their dynamic. I love how all of these Lasher books bleed into each other. I feel like I need to go back and start them from the beginning again.
This novella may be one of my favorites by Mae K. Knight. With the twisted and dark romance and taboo scenes, this book explores the ramifications of childhood abuse and neglect. Yet somehow, this villain is one you want to adore. Definitely read this series in order. Read these books and thank me later💕💕
This was such a great read that I could not put it down and proceeded to finish it in one sitting. It moves along at a fantastic pace for the story, has ineresting characters that you fall in love with and a story that will not disappoint. It is a must read that needs to be on your TBR list.
Good read from start to finish. I enjoyed the twists and turns, the spice, the dedication he has for her and much more. I loved how the story progressed and couldn't get enough of everything. Ending was great
Another good addition to the Lasher clan. The continuation of interconnected stories is just awesome. Xavier is just as obsessed as ever. A really good read.
This was a brilliant sequel to Escaping Xavier. Xavier and his chick get more depth in this book, and you are literally drawn into the story again. I enjoyed it from cover to cover
This is a continuation from Escaping Xavier. This book not only pleased my soul with the plot, but also all the extra details put into this novella—Chef's Kiss.
Please check all CW and TW before you dive into this wild af ride. We get to revisit our favorite unhinged brothers. Xavier is determined to keep Lauren at all costs. The plot in these books A+. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
First off the dedication at the beginning of the book! If you read that and don’t want to keep reading then bye bye! I literally smiled after I read it. It really helps to read the other interconnected books to really get the most out of this book. But you don’t really have to.We are back with our Lasher family . Xavier is my favorite MMC in this shared universe. The writing is so good and each book just gets better. I received this as an arc and I am leaving this review without any compensation.
Lauren and Xaviers story continues, he may have her body buy can he win her heart completely, going on the run, after her mother registers her as missing, was his only chance of escape, taking Lauren with him was his only option to keep her his and safe, but not even the journey to Mexico is smooth sailing. Well written fast paced, steamy, desires, drama, and more. a great addition to the series with more family added to the mix!
Lauren and Xavier are some of my favorite characters written by Mae. Their relationship development in this story, the chemistry, and the plot were so good. This was the perfect continuation to their story and a must read!
