Asa: Three years ago, my brother and I lost everything and everyone we’d ever known. It’s been him and me against the world ever since, but lately, things between us are strained. He’s keeping secrets from me, and when I accidentally figure them out, there’s no turning back. Ollie wants me, and I always give my brother what he needs. What we have might not make sense to anyone else, but it works for us, and that’s all I care about. Taking care of Ollie has always made me happy, and watching him come apart as I provide what he craves is everything.
Ollie: Asa and I have always been close. Being twins has created a bond between us that most people can’t understand. He’s my best friend and my other half. We share everything—or at least we did until I started seeing him in a new light. The more I try to fight my desires, the stronger they get. I need Asa in a way that no brother should, and when he figures out what I’ve been hiding, I’m shocked to learn that he wants me too. I’ve always liked it when Asa tells me what to do, and being his good boy is everything.
*Always His is a 62k word gay romance novel featuring a set of twins discovering their kinky sides and each other. If you’re not into twincest, guys getting their freak on in public, voyeurism, domination, dirty talk, and a liberal sprinkling of sweetness mixed in with kink scenes that will make you blush, this isn’t the book for you.
A.T. Brennan, a native of Ottawa, Canada, has always had her head in a book and a story to tell. A veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and current entrepreneur and author, she enjoys spending her days working on her many projects and her nights writing and not getting enough sleep. She currently lives on Canada’s East Coast with her kiddo and cat. She enjoys collecting shoes and exploring the different aspects of romance in her works. She also publishes erotica under the name Mandie Mills.
This is a bit like the beginner's guide to twincest. A little bit kinky with lots of sex. Asa and Ollie are incredibly sweet together. I like their dynamic.
This was Ollie, my other half, my best friend and soulmate. Kissing him should have grossed me out. It should have made us jump apart and wipe our lips as we freaked out. It didn’t. It made my heart soar and my body sing as Ollie kissed me back, his lips seeking and sweet. I let him take control, giving him a chance to explore me the way he wanted. 😍
It's not a bad book by any means and maybe I've just read too many outstanding books, I don't know, this story bored me insanely. There is hardly any plot and little background on the brothers, though their family circumstances seem super interesting. That's why I read this in the first place, because book two interests me much more. 😉
I dont know how I got to a point where I’m reading shit like this but I’m here, so…
It’s one thing to be curious enough to read it and another to find it so fucking hot. I enjoyed this way more than I should and can’t wait for the next book when it becomes MMM with the stepbrother.
The story hasn’t even properly started yet, and it’s already OTT and dramatic AF. 💀 Something about their interaction rubbed me wrong, too, with one twin taking on this caretaker role, and the other just passively accepting it like a baby, complete with tantrums… 🙄 It just seemed so exaggerated. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was diaper play somewhere along the way, and that’s just not my thing.
I love the characters and how perfect the author manage to describe their personalities and their differences. Asa is the older brother who loves to dominate, at the same time, being so gentle, careful and so so loving towards his twin, Ollie. And Ollie, I love how Ollie is so perfect for Asa. He’s softer, really, really submissive to Asa and he loves when Asa tells him what to do. Gah, THEY ARE HOT TOGETHER. Their connection and their relationship is so top tier!
This was just pure smut and sometimes, I’m not a fond of that, but because I already read the blurb for the first/second book, Idk which one is first but anyway, I think this book is just a perfect story to get there! Their story development, the way they connect, they just click! I can’t wait to jump onto the second book!! Oh and did I not say the sex was HOT AF? 🥵
”I melted against him, every puff of his breath ghosting across my face helped ground me, and I focused on matching my breathing to his as he cradled me.”
A sweet, steamy, kinky MM twincest College-aged forbidden romance with truths, love, heartrace, fun, crossing lines, hope, new normal, schooly, together, care, & HEA. This story was written as a prequel to "Forever Ours" but works great as standalone too! But seriously, I can't wait to read FO!😍 I loved Asa & Oliver, their bonds, the relationship built, the vulnerability & sexiness🔥. DEVOURED this within 4hrs.
#My 1st by Brennan, & I'll so going for more 🥰. Obviously this is a taboo incest romance b/w twins, not for everyone but definitely for me! This had hot domination, Praise kink & some Voyeur. As our twins are virgins, possessive of eachother 😏, & still discovering this side of them, The BDSM is light...but what we do get is BLAZING. I just found this duet by chance today, immediately read it & tomorrow gonna complete FO. Gosh, it'll be so thrilling to see our twins dominating their step bro, I know they've a dark side...I wanna see it unleash!
Wow, this was amazingly hot yet sweet and I loved it! I’d already read and loved Forever Ours, where Asa and Ollie get together with their submissive older stepbrother, but here we get to see how things started between the twins. They explored various kinks together (including one of my very favorites), but I think my favorite part was the aftercare and sweet affection. This was just really well written and I adored it. Definitely recommended for anyone who doesn’t mind a bit of taboo.
You can’t get much better than this when it comes to taboo and twincest. I think I enjoyed the second one with their step brother more, but I still really enjoyed this book. It was sexy and naughty in all the best ways. Read this then be sure to read Forever Ours next. Both are on Smashwords and with every penny.
Riveting and so sexy - this story captured me from the start and didn't let go. I adore these men and what they are to each other. This taboo story isn't for everyone but I loved the dynamics and journey and can see me having this as a book to read again and again.
Loved this! I was hooked from page one and could not stop reading. It was different and interesting and refreshing and definitely taboo. I loved the writing, the pacing, the dual POVs, the dialogue, the story, the steam, the MMCs, and their character and relationship development. I connected with them and felt their connection. Despite this being taboo, it was surprisingly sweet. The MMCs (Asa and Ollie) were well written and had distinct personalities and POVs. I loved how protective and caring Asa was of Ollie and how he never made him feel bad and was always praising and reassuring him, which is what Ollie needed. The praise kink in this, which is one of my favorites, was so well done. I also loved how Ollie came out of his shell and gained some confidence as the story progressed. And there was so much acceptance, love, and open communication between them, which I am such a fan of in books. Their dialogue and conversations were everything. I also loved the bdsm and subspace rep in this and how it was described. And the aftercare was *chef’s kiss.* And I loved Asa calling Ollie “sweetheart.” It was so sweet. I liked that we got some insight into their upbringing; it helped put things in perspective and better understand them and their relationship and why they were so close. It really was them vs. the world. They were all each other had, which obviously gave off codependency vibes, but I liked how it was portrayed. It wasn’t portrayed in a negative or toxic way, in my opinion. They truly loved and cared and supported each other unconditionally and were each other’s ride or dies. I am always hesitant when trying taboo books, because I tend to be picky, and they sometimes make me too uncomfortable. But that wasn’t the case here. I really liked how the taboo aspect in this was handled and written. It was compelling, and there was so much emotion and depth, which made it feel authentic. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved and enjoyed these characters and their story. I’m eager to see how things play out in the second book when they add a third to their relationship.
Asa and Ollie are identical twin brothers in college. They've always been close, but something is changing with Ollie. He's been acting weird. And when Asa finds out what it is, their relationship changes forever.
Unfortunately this one was way too long for what it is. It's mostly smut and there is virtually no plot. There's a little plot in regard to their grade in one class, but other than that, it's just a fuckfest. The problem is that it's a full length book and that got boring really quickly. I think if this book had been a novella it would've worked a lot better. Or add some kind of plot if it's going to be a longer book.
Other than that issue, I wasn't a fan of the characters either. I don't really like their dynamic. Ollie is like a big baby and Asa treats him like he's incapable of doing anything himself. I really don't like m/m romance where one of the guys acts completely helpless. Like he can't do anything for himself but solely relies on the other guy. I prefer m/m romance where the two guys are more on equal footing, not necessarily a Dom/sub kind of relationship. I don't even really like that in m/f romance if it's don't too heavily. So this kind of ruined things for me.
Another thing that bugged me a lot was the overuse of the pet name "sweetheart". Asa calls Ollie that about every other sentence --- totaling 113 times in this book. Yikes. I don't even really like that endearment very much, and it just felt awkward and overdone to me.
I also felt the whole Elliot thing was a tease. I totally thought they were going to have a threesome with him and that would've been hot. But nothing even came from that. Kind of a waste.
I think it's a good setup, but unfortunately I really didn't like much about any of it. I don't plan to read the follow-up about them and their stepbrother West.

So that was fun. Obviously this book focuses on the taboo and the salacious, because who reads twincest for anything else? I was pleasantly surprised to find a good amount of character development too. The plot is basically ‘I can’t screw/ have a romantic relationship with my twin brother, right?’ with most of the book showing the reader in graphic detail that the answer is yes, they can. I liked Asa and Ollie, and I enjoyed their dynamic. I loved that the author showed what each of them got from their power exchange and how it fit naturally with their fraternal relationship. The little details about college and how they felt about their family carried the story nicely between the flaming hot sex scenes. I wouldn’t have rated it five stars except for a scene with creative use of FaceTime because that was sexy and intriguing and OMG why didn’t I ever think of that?! Add to that a great somnophilia scene and I can happily accept the easy way these guys fell into twincest for a 5 star reading experience.
Taboo element aside, I liked this book for the most part. It's smutty, it's sweet and a little kinky. It's a nice slice of life book. That's kind of where it ends though.
Most of this book is about the brothers having sex and being fluffy with one another. Which is fine, I too love slow low plot books. But for me and my drag, I would have liked a little something more for 200+ pages. I kept waiting for something to happen and it never does. Like there's not even a bit where Asa and Ollie are trying to navigate their newfound relationship (like in the 2nd book which I believe was released first) because they've always been freakishly close. So while this book was good and well written, I was more than a little bored at times. If you like fluff and you like taboo, give it a go. Just don't expect too much by way of plot.
Twincest with a side of sweet, that’s how you do it. Ollie and Asa were so damn sexy and sweet together. I loved how Asa just stepped into the role of Dom for Ollie when he was truly floundering. It would have been easy to turn a blind eye to Ollie’s needs.
The sexy factor was through the roof. Asa is a Dom that dreams are made of and he certainly knows how to give it to Ollie right. There were several off the charts sexy scenes but the sex while sleeping scene? Lord, that was hot.
My only slight wrinkle was Elliot. I felt like that whole story arc was a little unnecessary but I guess liked the drama coming from that angle and not the “oh no we got caught” angle. I’m excited to see where the story goes once West is added to the mix, because West is hella unlikeable in this story.
This is a prequel to Forever Ours, and tells the story of Ollie and Asa. I was really interested in reading this, as they are already an established couple in Forever Ours and I was really curious about how their relationship started. This book was FIRE. It was incredibly hot, and the scenes between the two were really unique. However, the book had a lot of really sweet and tender scenes as well, and I loved how much Asa cared for Ollie. This book hit all the right notes for me, and really fleshed out the characters. It makes me want to read Forever Ours again!
DNF at 30%. I was not bothered by the taboo, obviously, the book just did not do anything for me. I guess I've found the erotica too realistic; two virgin teenagers experimenting with cheesy dirty talk and acts they've seen in porn or read about in the internet is not very hot or exciting as far as erotica, even taboo erotica, goes. Most of the time it was either too cheesy or too timid. Reading this for the romance was also a lost cause for me as there is far too much sex for that. The plot also came off as extremely claustrophobic; it had the bare minimum of a background (few paragraphs) and side characters (zero, at least up to 30%). 99% of the content is dialogue between the twins and it just was not good enough to hold my interest.
I might be fucked in the head, cuz this one was cute! Not a lot of drama, plenty of steam and fluff! It's obviously not for everyone, cuz they don't shy away from the fact that they are in fact twins... Anyways, onto the second part, excited for some threesome action✨
if i hear word sweetheart one more time i might actually explode (108 times… are u fr? i swear this word was in every f sentence) otherwise it was relatively good, first half was kind of entertaining
