HAUNTED BY A CRUSH—sounds perfect for Halloween, right?Except I’ve been attracted to my two best friends for years, and my crush is turning into something more than just lust… But I can’t be in love with the hunky Bigfoot and the brooding Mothman, not when my winged bestie also pines for our furry, behemoth friend. Mercer stares at Bellamy like he’s the very air the Mothman needs to breathe and watching his pain only escalates my own. As an Llorona, I have to be careful so I don’t unleash my wail and mark everyone around me for death. So I carefully tamp back my feelings, tucking them away in the hopes that they’ll eventually disappear—because that’s what happens when you repress emotions. Not. And it only takes a sip of Witch’s brew—one of the most powerful aphrodisiacs—for everything to come tumbling out. Will my confession ruin all our spooky fun, or are Bellamy and Mercer hiding secret desires of their own? 🎃🎃🎃Moaning For The Monsters is an MMF monster romance that’s part of the Monstrous Holidates series. These short stories tie into the Monstrous Meet Cute series ( but focus on one seasonal night and the physical aspects of the characters’ relationship. i.e. Festive monster smǔt.
This was exactly what I needed - short, sweet, sexy, and with monsters. Yes, it had some errors, but I was still able to enjoy it. Some review are saying their copies cut off before the end of the book. I’m happy to say, my KU download was just fine.
*ahem* So. A Mothman, a Bigfoot, and a Llorona walk into a bar... HA. Just kidding. They end up in a conveniently spelled glade in the woods before getting busy, BUT STILL. These three are friends and they all have a soft spot for one another only Xochi is GLORIOUSLY clueless that the guys are into her. So she does her absolute best to not get between them. Which is maybe a little ironic because that's EXACTLY where Bellamy and Mercer want her.
While that does (eventually) happen, these three have a little fumbling awkwardness to get through first. By that I mean Xochi knocks down a naughty display of Halloween decorations and gets an eyeful of just how well endowed her BFFs might be. Which does nothing to put a damper on her like, tbh.
Anywho. A few meddling matchmakers, a sip (or more) of Witch's brew, and suddenly the three of them are realizing three is THE BEST number. Quick, sex-ay, and full of plenty of supernatural steam. GOOD TIMES!
Hmmm I liked a lot of this. Three unique monsters, it only spanned 2 days which was perfect for a short story because it didn't try to cram a lot in, the spicy scene was hot. I liked that the three already had an established relationship and were just trying to move it forward.
BUT my feelings would be really hurt if I found out my mates were hooking up for a while (months? Years?) without me. I would feel sooooo incredibly left out. Fortunately the FMC didn't care (or at least the book just ended) but it's still a big ick for me. If this was longer, and we could see more of everyone and their relationships starting, I think this would have been a 4 star book. But it's just ok for me, ok not great.
Been excited for this book since I finished the authors other books! This is a super short read and I finished it in one day. It is a why choose and the characters were so cute.
I loved their chemistry and how different the three were! Would have been great to see more of their relationship after the confessions but I believe that they would have become more lovey dovey
Can’t wait for the author to come out with something else!
I was not ready for this book. It didn’t occur to me that we were going to be quite so anatomically accurate for the mothman/insects. I just was not prepared to hear about it. Took me right out of the story, and honestly I rode the struggle bus the last handful of pages. The dynamic between the trio also kind of gave me the ick. It felt a little strange. But to each their own. Just jot my cup of tea.
She's a Llorona, best friends with a moth man & bigfoot. She's been developing feelings for the both of them, but is afraid to act of them bc they both have a thing for each other and she doesn't want to come between them. But they've been secretly pining after her as well, waiting for her to notice all the hints they've been dropping. They decide at Samhain they're going to make their move.
“The sounds grow louder, and I dash forward just in time to catch the woman as silicone cocks rain down around us.”
Review: Basically this is a monster quickie — a sampler platter at the monsterfucker buffet. Tasty, a little spicy, and gone too soon.
Three monsters pining in love, confessing their feels, and serving snack-sized smut with a side of fluff. Not a full meal, but enough to have me coming back for seconds in Wendi Guff’s universe.
Absolutely adorable!! I read anything by Wendi Guff but I loved this one! It was a quick read and it was oh so spicy 🥵 Being a Latina myself I love that La Llorona was apart of this Halloween Monster Romance! If Monster Romance is your thing you should definitely add this to your TBR!!
Short and sweet. Better than the last few stories, honestly. Only issue, which is constant and continuing, is errors. Mostly minor and, with it being a short story, not as many as in the past.
It was cute and a quick read. I wish it’d been spicier. For an mmf it was kinda disappointing in the spice factor. Nothing was really detailed and you only get the one scene (and it was a short one at that). Towards the end I was kinda just skimming
A cute Halloween romp in the woods with meddling friends and witchy drinks. Super sweet with a side of spicy and a happily ever after, each book in this series is better than the last.
This was just meh for me.. There were some grammatical errors, but not to the point of making me stop reading. The spicy bits were good and definitely interesting with these unique characters. I just can’t pinpoint why I wasn’t the biggest fan of the storyline.
I loved this cute little novella. I want more of their story, I crave more. I love that it’s MMF but dang there were parts where I would love to hear more about the MM side.
Moaning For The Monsters is a short best friends to lovers story. A bigfoot, mothman and llorona ( which was new to me) were all clueless about each others feelings. There's little story here but it was a cute snippet.
