Dr Liam was an emotional vampire for most of the story. Sad to say his a$$hole behavior was the most entertaining part of the book. Sad Emma, snarky Emma whatever, I checked out.

BURNED BY THE BROKEN DOCTOR by Mia Sterling is a steamy contemporary romance with secrets galore and it is Emma and Liam’s story. When their paths crossed eighteen months before they didn’t even exchange names for their one night stand that ended up encompassing a weekend until he threw her out. Imagine their shock when they are both in her brother’s wedding to her best friend. Not only that, but she’s the wedding planner and maid of honor and he’s the best man and needs to help get all the plans locked down.

They decide to fake a relationship for a multitude of reasons but are they really faking it or are their feelings more real than they are letting on? They have chemistry but their anger abounds since they aren’t very good at communicating unless it’s between the sheets. There are several stories being told and they are woven together. The story is fast-paced but often the timeline seems off.

There are twists and turns to the story that is told from Emma and Liam’s perspective in alternating chapters but it often seemed confusing whose point of view it was. There are a lot of emotions portrayed- anger, fear, hurt, sadness, happiness, laughter, romance, loving and love. There is a lot of steam and it was sometimes when they were at their best - no words needed! There are family and friends and also reminiscences and memories. There is closure with the happily ever after nicely portrayed but it seemed rushed. The epilogue was a nice addition to the story.

Liam the grumpy doctor is not a lover of commitment and definately not a fan of relationship. Emma is the happy wedding planner who hopes to have a dream wedding someday and very much loves ,love. The two had a hot weekend together in New York where things didn't turn out well. eighteen months later Liam is the best man at his friends wedding little does he know that Emma is Damons little sister. Although they aren't exactly friends, Liam proposes to fake date. This not only helps him but definately works to her advantage as well. What starts with anger turns into a HEA with twists along the way.

i loved this story by Mia Sterling. it was funny, uplifting and feel good.
i couldn't put this down and finished it in one day. Personally thinking it was not an accidental pregnancy trope book, it is included but I would say not as the main storyline. I would say the main one is fake dating which I love, so if you like a good fake dating story with a side of accidental pregnancy then this is a book you will get behind and probably like.

Broken Doctor and small town sweetheart

Dr Liam Miller doesn't believe in love it forever relationships.

After watching the heartbreak of the breakdown of his parents marriage and wishing for them to get back together as a child, who can blame him. But then his nameless one night stand ends up being more than one night and 18 months later he still can't stop thinking about her.

Emma Co!e is a successful wedding planner and rarely dates, but spends an incredible couple of nights (and days) with a nameless stud of a man and she can't stop thinking about him.

When Liam turns up in town for her brother's wedding, Emma can't believe the rude, arrogant man who threw her out of his room 18 months ago is her brother's best friend.

To say their interactions are feisty is an understatement but neither is prepared for the passion and chemistry to still dominate their time spent together.

Not being honest with each other causes issues and of course they fight but when Liam thinks he's about to lose Emma his world is rocked to the core.

Can either be completely truthful about their feelings and find a way forward?

Emma is a wedding planner and has come home to help plan her brother's wedding to her best friend. However, she didn't expect to run into the man that treated her badly after spending a weekend with her. At first Liam tries to act like he doesn't remember her, but she gets him to admit he does. Emma hates being around people from school because the treat her badly for being single. When Liam sees this happening at a local store he steps in and pretends that they are together. Its doesn't take long for gossip to spread. Emma agrees to pretend to be together if he will help plan the wedding with her. Its not long before things get very real between them. Will Liam finally admit he wants her? Can they finally get their happy ending?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I really wanted to like this book, but I could not get passed how many mistakes there are. There was a ton of inconsistency. They would be in one place and then another. They would be fake dating and everyone knew, but then suddenly it's a secret relationship. It was rough. I had a really hard time pushing through it. It could have been 5 stars without the distraction.

Outside of the mistakes, Liam is kind of a jerk. Emma isn't much better. Both of then have a ton of growing up to do. They were a hot mess. So I guess a hot mess together. It seemed one day they hated each other and then the next everything was fine and they were inseparable.

This story really needs some work. It feels rough and rushed. Not to mention someone needs to do another read through and proof all the continuity errors and other mistakes.

Great story!

Liam is a doctor. One night at a wedding he met Emma. They didn’t tell each other their names. But the night was filled with many sexual releases. He actually had her for the full weekend. Something he never did, but this one really intrigued him. They said good bye, but he actually told her to get out. A short time later, he was asked to go to his hometown and help his best buddy with his wedding. Upon arriving Damon said that his sister would be arriving also, a wedding planner and a beautiful lady. He showed Liam a picture of gear from his phone and Liam froze. It can’t be, the woman he made love with for that long weekend, the one he told to get out. Well this should be interesting!

Emma and Liam spend a spicy weekend together in New York, but then he leaves her afterwards, treating her like garbage. Fast forward eighteen months and Emma is helping her brother Damon and her best friend plan their wedding when the best man turns out to be none other than Liam. Liam plays it cool, trying to pretend like he doesn’t remember Emma but when he see’s her being bullied by former classmates, he steps in and pretends they’re dating.. and helps her plan her brother’s wedding. Will spending time together convince Liam that he truly cares for Emma? Or will their one night together be their last?

Liam is a Doctor he doesn’t do relationships because he had a bad impression for love,his parents divorced and it broken him.Yes he do one night stands only but one day he met a one in particular he had a whole weekend with her but he felt that this one is different but he forced her out anyway.
One year and a half later he had to leave from his place and go to his father,because he had his best friends wedding .
when he went to his friend, he told him that his sister is going to come as well ,to his surprise his friends sister was no one else.

If you want to know about the story ,why you don’t read it.
You will not regret,for sure😉

Emma has a one-night stand with Liam and overstays her welcome. When he asked her to leave. It was on unfriendly terms. Going home for her brother’s wedding, Liam is there as the best man. Oh no, can she handle seeing him? Although sparks fly when they see each other, she is nasty to him. Problem is his father is trying to play matchmaker for him. In order to quiet his father, they decide to pretend to date. Will they admit their feelings and make this a real relationship? This was a fun story to read.

Emma and Liam meet at a wedding and have a memorable weekend, but then he rudely kicks her out of his apartment, when he fears his attraction to her. Not a great way to start a relationship. So when they meet again, sometime later, at her brother’s wedding, she hates his guts. Great banter and sparks fly as these two spar and try to deny the undeniable attraction between them. Their relationship is sweet and volatile at the same time, but never dull. A most delightful read.

I received this book through a Goodreads Giveaway. I seem to be in the minority here, but I didn’t like this book and had a hard time finishing it. The dialogue was very old fashioned in many places and didn’t fit with the rest of the story. Liam was an ass and Emma was both a door mat and held him to ridiculous standards depending on the day, moon phases, who knows why, but her character was super inconsistent. And let’s not even talk about a grown woman not practicing safe sex because “I don’t have it that often.” Overall, I think it felt stilted and juvenile, especially given the age of the MCs.

I absolutely loved every bit of this story. There were a few spots where things seemed a bit rushed but I think it added to the angst of the character dynamic. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. The tension between Emma and Liam was only bested by their passion for each other.

Be ready to be up all night reading this book by Mia. OMG the cover makes my heart beat fast and I want to run my hands over his sculpted chest. :) What starts off as a fake relationship to help Liam out ends up being a lot more for Emma to handle. WOW what a ride this romance book is going to take you on.

The book is a planning wedding romance with an unplanned baby on it. MMC don’t want relationship but in order to protect her from mean women and his dad match making they decided to be in fake dating. I loved the characters and the storyline of this book. But it was extremely hard to get past the repetitive dialogue and poor descriptions of what was happening. The author tells you just enough to know what’s going on but not enough to get a full connection to the characters or settings. The timeline of the book was hard to follow also.
