He Never Wanted Love—Then She Walked Into His Life.

I’ve spent my life building an empire, focused on one goal—proving myself worthy of my family’s vineyard. Business is all I know. Cool. Calculated. Ruthless.

But when my father delivers an ultimatum—marry and move to Chile, or he sells the vineyard—everything I’ve sacrificed is suddenly at risk.

Marriage was never in my plans. Love? Even less. Then Camila walks into my life.

Fierce, determined, and undeniably beautiful, my new assistant is everything I never saw coming. She’s supposed to be the solution to my father’s demand—a convenient arrangement, nothing more. But the more time I spend with her and her daughter, Ava, the more this marriage starts to feel like something real.

Camila’s strength challenges me. Her warmth draws me in. And for the first time in my life, I want something beyond power and success—I want her. Them.

But love was never part of the deal, and Camila has dreams of her own. If I can’t prove that I’m more than the ruthless businessman she met, I’ll lose the only thing that ever truly mattered.

Will I be the man she and Ava deserve, or will I let them slip away before I realize they’re already mine?

Resolute is book three in the Kinsmen Billionaires series. Each book is a standalone with an HEA, and the books should be read in order. Please see inside for the content warning.

ahhh! This one did not disappoint! Everything was so wholesome and made me feel so fluffy. Vicente, Camila and Ava. The perfect little trio. They fit. I loved the chemistry and found family. I loved that Vicente was not afraid to show his big emotions. Ava and Camila... I wanted to hug them. I loved their bond and theirs with Mrs Evans as well. Owen.. that... (i have no good words). I liked him originally but all i can say now is GAG!!!!! This book does deal with some sensitive topics, so please check TW. But a perfect way to conclude the Kinsmen Billionaires trilogy. I cannot wait for Liss' next book iykyk. Thank you to Liss for the arc.

LISSSSSS! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

Every time i pick up the next book in this series, I don’t know how it could possibly top the last and Resolute absolutely does that!

As a single mom, I have a special place in my heart for single mom romances and this was one that lands closer to the top of my list!

Liss writes in a way that makes her books absolutely so bingable! You do not want to put them down because you just fall in love with the characters. Even when our MMC was in his grumpy era, I still really enjoyed his character. Ava was the highlight of the book. I adored her cute little self and her little additions in dialogue.

I loved seeing the couples from the previous two books! It’s like catching up with long lost friends. I was worried because at 80% they were in love and super happy and i was like nooooooooo, please don’t have a fight and third act breakup! While there are happenings that i enjoyed reading, there’s no third act breakup either!

Truly this was just a joy to read. It is definitely my favorite of the series. Camila was extremely relatable and empowering.

I devoured this book! I ate it up, because, grumpy/sunshine, boss/assistant and single mom are a perfect combination. Seeing a couple feeling an intense attraction for each other , and him becoming a golden retriever, is the perfect love story. Camila is a single mom, Ava is a beautiful little girl, that has been missing a father figure her whole life. Vicente is married to his career, and nothing else is important. Other than finally taking over the family vineyard. He receives an ultimatum, and has to make a decision. But he didn’t expected to fall is forced to make a split decision in order to keep his family legacy alive. he thought it was a married of convenience, but he falls fast not only for Camila, but for her beautiful daughter. Now he is craving things he never had before. You go through so many feeling with this beautiful story. Grief, love, loss, friendship, betrayal, family loyalty, found family and tears! One of my favorite single mom stories of the year!!! A must read with a beautiful HEA!

Thank you Liss for the free e-arc!

I had a really sweet time reading this, Ava, Camilia and Vicente make the cutest little family. The romance is definitely sweet, you can't help but root for them. I will always love Latine family rep <3333

I thought some of the dialogue was a little unrealistic like the "DICKtator" comment or the "Let's boogie, boss" I don't think I've heard anyone else talk like this in real life but that's my only comment.

If you want something sweet and quick, I think this book is worth giving it a go!

It is official! Single parent is my favorite trope. I cannot get enough of it right now. Ava was definitely my favorite character. She is the cutest.
Plus then you add boss/assistant romance and you've got me hooked! Camila is a feisty single mom that worked 2 jobs for her daughter and then you have Vicente, the billionaire grump. Their personalities balanced each other perfectly. But the cute bantering had me squealing.

Ranking: 4.5⭐

Liss Montoya is a relatively new author to me, but in the few books I've read, I've seen that she takes her stories to the next level, and Resolute was no exception. I really enjoyed reading Camila & Vicente, the way the author decided to tell their story, the dose of family drama she gave us at the most unexpected moments, and how the main characters dealt with all these situations. I also loved that she complemented Vicente & Camila's plot with the most charming and adorable secondary characters, while also giving us a glimpse into the lives of the previous MCs.

Camila melted my heart! She's a single mother who loves her little Ava madly and constantly struggles to keep her happy and healthy due to a medical condition she suffers from. Her life hasn't been easy since she arrived in London, but she's a brave, loving woman who knows how to set boundaries, something I loved endlessly about this character. Her personality is sweet and fun, and I love how that contrasts so much with Vicente's grumpy side in those early interactions. It was also very nice to read the relationship Ava and Camila have with Mrs. Evans and how she is their main support and a maternal figure to Camila.

I have to say that I didn't really like Vicente in the first few chapters (he later became my second favorite after Gio but): he's a rich, grumpy man who knows exactly what he wants, so when his father gives him an ultimatum, he's nothappy at all . BUT that was one of the first moments where I started to like his character, as he knows how to confront his father's demands, and sometimes recklessness, in a respectful but firm way. I also REALLY liked that with this character (and with Camila too), Liss showed us one of the many painful sides of migration: one in which Vicente doesn't quite fit in because of his origins and in which he is forced to align himself with the culture of the country he lives in, to the point of not knowing if he still belongs in Chile after so many years, a bit similar to what Camila faces with little Ava and her speaking Spanish.

Vicente & Camila had a bit of a bizarre start: she is his new executive assistant, but the first month they work remotely because he is supervising the family business from Chile while she works in the office in London, however, that doesn't stop Vicente from behaving like the grumpy boss he's used to being, nor Camila from putting a stop to him while demonstrating her efficiency👏🏽, plus, those continuous interactions they have via email, calls and messages make their feelings for each other appear gradually, albeit quickly, and gave the love story of these two a perfect rhythm. And if the plot wasn't interesting enough at this point, things get even better when Vicente proposes to Camila so he can take over his family's vineyards in Chile, and from there on we see a side of Vicente that I really didn't expect: a man who can be affectionate, loving and very thoughtful, especially with little Ava, with whom he forms an immediate and adorable connection, but who is also willing to do ANYTHING to protect the new women in his life, and who manages to find what he wasn't looking for in the most unexpected way.

💍Vicente: 4/5
💍Camila: 5/5
💍Trama: 5/5
💍Historia de amor: 4.5/5
💍Personajes secundarios: 4.5/5

Beta: My favorite book of the series. It is fantastic. Now I’m in a huge book-hangover. Love it.

Full review

My favorite book of the year! I’ve read it twice and loved every single moment. A single mom, an adorable little girl, and a grumpy boss, what more could you ask for? The perfect recipe for an unforgettable story. It’s a slow burn, but trust me, the wait is so worth it. Ava is an absolute sweetheart, I adore her to pieces. And yes, I may have shed a tear or two along the way. The characters were on point. The descriptions of the places made me feel like I was there, London, Chile and Colombia. Love the mixed culture and the latin representation. Liss, you’ve outdone yourself. Thank you for such an amazing story. Now excuse me while I nurse this book hangover!

This is book 3 of the Kinsmen Billionaires series which is Vicente and Camila. Vicente is a ruthless businessman and billionaire playboy who is set to take over the family vineyard in Chile but in order to do so he must marry. Camila is a strong and independent single mom to Ava who has a rare genetic blood disorder. Vicente never plans to marry but when he meets Camila the sparks fly! She's his new assistant who was hired when his former assistant retired. He finds proposing marriage to save the family business. Camila reluctantly accepts his proposal for Ava's treatment but as they get to know each other they can't deny their attraction. Vicente falls for Camila and her daughter Ava in the process and is fiercely protective of them. I love how their relationship develops in this book and I love how Vicente's character softens over the course of the book. This was such a cute touching story and steamy too!

This is my first book from this author and I can't wait to go back and read the first two books now!

I received a free e-ARC copy from Liss Montoya in exchange for my honest review.

Vicente Godoy is a grumpy, no-nonsense, all-business alpha-hole. Camila Flores is his sunshine, single-mother, fun-loving personal assistant. When Vicente’s father announces that to inherit control of the family vineyard, Vicente also has to get married. Without any girlfriend or even a casual fling in his recent past or present, Vicente finds himself drawn to his assistant and is slowly drawn into her life. The moment he meets her little girl Ava, he is hooked, like a duck.

Ava is the most adorable little girl you have ever met. Born with Thalassemia, Ava has to undergo regular treatment and blood transfusions, which she doesn’t like, but the rest of the time she is sunshine personified. She calls Vicente ‘Boss Man’ and in return he calls her duckling (such a cute nickname) as her favourite animals are ducks.

Vicente is attracted to Camila from the start and vice versa. What starts out as a marriage of convenience soon turns into something much deeper and real. They become a fierce family unit, ready to take on anything that threatens any one of them.

I haven’t read any of the other Kinsmen Billionaire books but the characters are mentioned here. They are standalone though and can all be read individually.

I have so enjoyed this series and this book did not disappoint. Vicente and Camila were unconventional from the beginning and I am all for it. With the help from Mrs. Evans their paths crossed and it was a fun story to read. He is a workaholic, ruthless billionaire, who has no patience for anything or anyone. She is a caring single mom who hasn’t had the easiest of time since moving to study abroad, isn’t afraid of Vicente and has the patience of a saint- most of the time. 😉 Together… they are a powerhouse couple whose love for each other, and sweet Ava, is a force to be reckoned with.

The Epilogue and extended epilogue were so good! They provided a sweet ending to the story and I loved seeing where all of our favorite characters from the series ended up a bit in the future! 🩷

4.75/5 rounded up

I adored this book, it was honestly so cute. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because I read “Logged” and that was pure perfection so anything else was hard to live up to, it lost the .25 from the phrase “let’s boogie boss” and also just some minor things that were said that I felt were a little cringy

This story was so beautiful, I cried happy tears and also made an “aww that was so cute” face many times. The spice was good, very much hot without being too much for the story.

If you want a love at first sight, douchebag to daddy, no 2nd act break up, protector, strong FMC and adorable daughter kid of story this is the one for you

Resolute by Liss Montoya
⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is the third installment in the Kinsmen Billionaires series and is set to be released on March 10th!

I was excited to dive back into this family saga. I love the reformed playboy trope, and in this story, he falls first! It was phenomenal!

Camila is a strong single mom raising her five-year-old daughter, Ava. Her neighbor helps take care of Ava and also assisted her in finding a job after retiring as the assistant to her former boss, Vincente.

Vincente is poised to take over the family business in Chile as the eldest son. However, his father complicates matters by introducing a marriage clause to secure the winery. Little did Vincente know that the woman of his dreams was about to enter his life unexpectedly.

The chemistry between Camila and Vincente is a beautifully defined slow burn, and it works exceptionally well! I was pleasantly surprised by how some relationships evolved. When Camila unleashed her inner "Mama Bear," it was game over.

Thank you so much, Liss, for allowing me to read this early copy! 🩷

I loved Resolute.

I think I say this with each of her new releases but I this may be my favorite. The Kinsmen Billionaires series is definitely my favorite.

Ms. Evan’s knew what she was doing when she hired Camila to replace her as Vicente’s executive assistant.

I loved watching Vicente change as he spent more time with Camila and her daughter. He started to see what his family meant.

Vicente and Camila worked well together. The relationship and connection was believable and probably my favorite out of Montoya’s books.

This is technically a standalone but I suggest starting with A Lifetime With You which is book one in the With You series. The characters all begin in that book.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your ARC team. I can’t wait for Unraveling Rain to release

Romances with billionaire MMCs are not usually my favorite but this book is everything. I love how almost instantly Vicente falls for Camila (and soon her daughter Ava) even though he can’t get past his grumpy exterior towards her at first. Even though this is a fake marriage, I’m glad the fake part of it doesn’t last very long. Now, I want to go back and read the rest of this series and the other related books. Thank you to Liss Montoya and Happily Booked PR for the opportunity to read this arc early.

3.5/5 Stars (rounded to 4)

I liked the story. It was a sweet and quick read (it took me less than 3 hours to read). My favorite character was definitely Ava, she was adorable. Vincente and Camila were good together. Vincent was a little bit too much of a rude a-hole at times, but he was sweet with Ava. The reason for 3.5 stars is that I just felt the pacing was off, so things were a bit rushed, and I felt at times there's was a lot of telling instead of showing in the story. But overall, it was a cute story, worth the read.

I absolutely fell head over heels for Resolute by Liss Montoya! From the very first page, I was hooked. The chemistry between Camila, the hardworking single mom (Ava), and Vicente, the grumpy billionaire, is SPICY PERFECTION from the start. I loved watching Vicente’s transformation from a no-nonsense workaholic to someone who genuinely cares for Camila and Ava. The slow burn and the banter between them had me grinning like a fool. Camila is such a strong, determined woman, who isn’t afraid to speak her mind, and who truly deserves the world, and Vicente? He’s the perfect mix of grumpy and soft when it matters most.

But let’s talk about Ava—this little girl completely stole my heart. She’s not only adorable, but her wit and resilience make her shine in every scene. Born with Thalassemia, she’s been through so much, but she never lets it dim her light. Her relationship with Vicente was beyond precious. Their interactions had me swooning, especially the way Vicente slowly became so attached to her. The way he calls her “duckling” melted me! This story really tugs at your heartstrings, and the way LM portrayed Ava’s condition with such care and accuracy made it all the more moving and real.

The entire storyline is packed with sweet, heartwarming moments, and the emotional rollercoaster had me tearing up more than once. I loved how Vicente was so protective of Camila and Ava, especially when it came to their little family dynamics. And can we talk about Mrs. Evans? She’s such a lovely, supportive figure in their lives, adding so much warmth to the story. Resolute is a perfect blend of humor, heart, and romance. It’s one of those books you’ll think about long after you’ve finished reading it. I’m definitely keeping this one close as a top recommendation!!!

I’m sad this series is over. I really enjoyed each book. They all took place in different locations but at the same time didn’t feel like family was ever that far away.

I did notice it took me a little bit to get into this story, but it was just a slower start to their meeting irl and relationship building from employee-employer, to a relationship built on love. After the interactions really got underway I was hooked and wanted more of their banter.

And then there is Ava, sweet girl. Resident “duckling” to Vicente (which as far as nicknames go, I love it).

Thank you Liss Montoya for the opportunity to read the final book in the Kinsmen Billionaire series. I’ve really enjoyed all the books I’ve read of yours and can’t wait to read the next.

Wow! Wow! Liss Montoya 🥹 This was absolutely phenomenal. I could not put this down and was immediately drawn in from page one! Vicente, Camila, and Ava 🥹❤️ Thank you so so much, Liss, for the ARC 🥹

Vicente Godoy 🧎‍♀️ Where do I begin? This man had my heart in the palm of his hand since the start. Tall, handsome, a billionaire, a CEO, protective, possessive, grumpy, intelligent, obsessed, best husband of convinience, intrigued, celibate, and can't get his new assistant out of his mind, no matter what 🤭 His long-time assistant, Mrs Evans, retires and hires single mom Camila Flores who she assures him is perfect for this job. Vicente is away at his family vineyard in Chile when he grumpily calls Camila on her first day. And let me tell you, this man was OBSESSED! He is grumpy at first, but when he sees her feisty personality, he is on his 🧎‍♀️ He worships the ground she walks on. When he meets her adorable daughter, Ava, this man decides then and there that he is going to be their family. The way he stood up and was always there for them. My heart soared! The bond between him and Ava 🥹❤️

Camila Flores 🥹🫂 When I think of badass single mom FMC's, Camila is in my top 3 🥹 Beautiful, intelligent, feisty, protective, possessive, single mom, loving, kind, gentle, sunshine, and independant. Her daughter Ava has a blood condition that she inherited from her father. Ava's father died in a tragic event and never even knew about her 😭 My heart broke so much for Camila and Ava and the hardships they both endured. I just wanted to hug them. Ava is one of the most adorable kids I have read about. When Camila starts working for the elusive Vicente, she is immediately annoyed 😂😂 She gives him tit for tat, and if she thinks that would make him stay away from her. Oh boy, was she mistaken 😌 The absolutely sizzling chemistry when they meet in person is 🥵 and they both can't deny it. Vicente convinces her to marry him and if she wasn't head over heels in love then, she certainly was when he worshipped her!

The sizzling chemistry, angst, spice, and love between Camila and Vicente is beautiful. The way the three of them become a family 🥹 They have earned a place in my heart, and I'm not giving it away! The writing, storyline, and all the characters are phenomenal. I could not help falling in love 🥹 I can't wait to read the rest of your beautiful work, Liss.

The single parent trope has got to be one of my favorites, especially when it involves a family that comes together like this one. Even though these two started out bumpy, with the MMC being such a grumpy workaholic, the way they slowly came together made me smile as I read it. Who doesn’t love a grumpy butt boss that likes to gripe about his chipper new assistant. This book was cute and very entertaining. It’s a great book to read when you are looking for a sweet found family romance with probably the sweetest little girl that I’ve ever read. The chemistry between the two main characters was excellent and I felt the strong connection between them. While this was a slow burn, and slow burns make me so antsy, the banter between these two was worth the wait before they finally took the leap.

Camila is such an amazing woman. She moved to a different country, became pregnant, and had to raise her daughter, who has a chronic illness, on her own. She does get help from her neighbor who becomes a part of their little family. She initially works two jobs, basically getting no sleep, so that she can provide for the sweetest little girl ever. She does an amazing job of not letting her grumpy boss get to her. She stands up to him, something that no one else dares to do. Vicente has decided to put everything he has into his job and has decided that he doesn’t have time for love, that is until his dad throws a wrench into his future plans. The minute he hears his new assistants voice, his hearts to thaw slowly. His attraction to her is so quick, even though he doesn’t immediately act on his feelings. And then there is Ava, who basically steals the shows, just as she did with Vicente’s heart. When this family finally forms, it made me so happy to read.

I loved this sweet read. There were some spicy times, but with the slow burn, they come in a little towards the end. I loved reading this relationship developing and so enjoy a single parent, especially when they give everything they have to give their child the life they deserve. This book was so great with its representation, having Hispanic main characters and including a chronic illness and how it played into the development of this family. This was a sweet read that I would absolutely recommend.

Resolute is the third book in Montoya's Kinsmen Billionaires series. This book grumpy/sunshine romance features Vicente Godoy and Camila Flores.

Vicente, the eldest child, is the head of the Goddoy Group. He is in charge of the family's investments and he excels at it. He's been living in London for more than a decade and relies heavily on his assistant, Mrs. Evans. She has been with him so long she easily anticipates his needs and sees to them. Vicente has been so focused on work that it completely slipped his mind that Mrs. Evans was retiring. Of course, Mrs. Evans knew he would forget so she hired her replacement, Camila and made him promise to keep her on for at least 6 months before thinking about looking for a different assistant. Camila, while qualified for the position, has been out of the workforce for a few years. Her focus has been on her daughter, Ava. Vicente is hesitant but trusts Mrs. Evans.

When Vicente's parents come from Chile to visit, his father informs him that they are ready to retire and not only is he expected to move back home to Alamo Peaks to run the vineyards, but he is also to be married before the end of the year. If he doesn't meet his father's demands, the vineyard will be sold and he will be removed as the head of Godoy Group. While that is the last thing Vicente wants, he is hesitant as he is not the same man who left Chile all those years ago. In order to fit in in London, he had to change, and now he is not certain he will fit in back home. Add to that he doesn't even have a girlfriend so how can he be expected to find a suitable partner to become his wife?

Vicente quickly discovers that not only is his new assistant smart and capable, but she is also determined, a little feisty, and she isn't afraid to speak her mind. He comes to see Camila as the solution to his problem and proposes a mutually beneficial arrangement between the two of them. What he didn't foresee was falling for her, and little Ava.

This was another heartwarming story from Montoya. I loved the chemistry between Vicente and Camila; she truly helps him become a better man. I also loved Camila's inner strength, her determination, and of course, her sass. Watching the macho business man melt for little Ava was too sweet, and seeing Camila curate a family from the wonderful people around her brought me joy. I also appreciated how the author brought back beloved characters from her other books to wrap up this series.

Montoya wraps up the series beautifully in the extended epilogue:

Gio: "To the small-town life, family, and the women who keep us grounded - even wen we refuse to be lodged."
Gabo: "To living unbounded."
Vicente: "And to being resolute in what truly matters."

I look forward to seeing what will come next from this author.

Emotionally charged romance taking readers on a slow-burn journey of love, family, and personal growth.

Vicente is the quintessential billionaire alpha-hole boss. He’s wealthy, powerful, and used to getting his way. When he’s given an ultimatum to settle down, he decides to look for a wife in the most convenient way possible: his new assistant. Camilla is sweet, confident in her work, but self-conscious about her body - traits that make her incredibly relatable. She’s also a single mom to five-year-old Ava, and this is where the emotional core of the story lies. When Vicente propositions her to marry him for convenience, Camilla’s primary focus is her daughter’s well-being. Ava’s medical treatments are expensive, and Camilla is willing to sacrifice her own personal feelings for the sake of securing a better future for her child.

What makes Resolute stand out is the way the relationship between Vicente and Camilla develops organically. Their connection grows out of mutual concern for Ava, which gradually shifts into a deep emotional bond. This transition is beautifully written, with the romance building at a satisfying pace. The slow burn aspect of the romance is palpable and makes their eventual physical attraction all the more rewarding. While the book features a few open-door spicy scenes, it’s the emotional depth of their connection that truly drives the story forward.

On the outside, the couple faces a number of challenges. Vicente’s family dynamics and obligations create a constant source of tension, as he tries to navigate his role as eldest son while balancing his new marriage. Meanwhile, a scheming ex/friend threatens their happiness, adding a layer of suspense and conflict to the plot. This brings out the overprotective side of Vicente which not only adds to the drama, but builds his relationship with Camilla.

Overall, Resolute is a sweet, slow-burn romance that is as much about building a family as it is about falling in love. The chemistry between Vicente and Camilla is undeniable, but it’s their emotional growth that truly makes this book shine.

Rating: 🧀(DNF at 30%)

T/W: Thalassemia (on page), death of a love one (referenced), parental and family abandonment (referenced), blackmail (on page)

This book had all the tropes I usually enjoy: billionaire, fake relationship/marriage of convenience, forced proximity romance. But sadly, that’s where the likability ended.

Vincent is supposed to be a broody charming billionaire, but he’s really just an egotistical jerk. His idea of romance? Acting superior until Camila (a hardworking single mom) somehow falls for him—despite barely knowing him. Their romance is less “slow burn” and more “spontaneous combustion of logic.” (At one point, I half-expected the heroine to dump him and move on with her life. A plot twist I would have cheered for.) The real star of the book: Ava, Camila’s daughter. She’s sweet, endearing, and frankly, the only character I was rooting for. The representation of Thalassemia was a nice touch, adding depth to her storyline and making her more than just a cute plot device.

Unfortunately, even Ava couldn’t save the story from cringe overload. The over-the-top dialogue to a plot so predictable it practically came with GPS and dramatic moments didn’t land. It felt more like a bad soap opera and had enough cheese to clog an artery.

If you love rich guy falls for regular woman romances and don’t mind a hero with the charm of a wine hangover, this might be your jam. But if you need your romance MCs to be remotely likable and your writing to be a little less, well, cringe, you might want to consider faking your way out of reading this one.

I received an ARC copy and wanted to leave an honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️️⭐️/ ️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Liss delivers with her book three in her Kingsmen Billionaires series! Wholesome, romantic, spicy, and so sweet are words that come to mind when thinking about this story and the characters. Liss has always written stories that pull me in and don’t let go. I also love the world travels I go on when reading her stories. She is so talented at bringing landmarks to life, you feel like you are there.

Camila is a hardworking, single mom who just started a new job. The chemistry is almost instant with her and the new boss, but she knows she can only admire. However, when her daughter’s medical treatments become more frequent, she doesn’t know how she is going to afford them. When her boss makes a proposal, it may be the answer she was looking for. She will do anything for her daughter! I loved seeing the fierce mama bear within Camila when it came to her daughter.

Vincente is a workaholic billionaire who is in need of a wife in order to take over the family business. He needs someone who can fulfil the role, without the feelings. When he finds out his new assistant needs some help, he sees an opportunity for both of them. This man though!! The way Vincente falls for both Camila and her daughter, Ava, had me swooning and grinning throughout this book.

Ava was so adorable. I appreciated that Liss took time to research the disease she has and write about with care, grace, and respect. It adds to the family vibes of the story and Ava stole my heart almost instantly. Overall, the story is a great read that had me smiling, laughing, and tearing up. Liss put my heart back together before the book ended though, so no worries there!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

RESOLUTE is the third book in the Kinsmen Billionaires series but can be read as a standalone.

Vicente is the oldest brother, the one who will take over the family vineyard in Chile, and the only one still single. So his parents add a proviso to him taking over - he must be married too. Vicente's executive assistant has just retired although she has found a replacement in Camila. How they know each other becomes clear as you read on.

Now, the three characters - Vicente, Camila, and Ava - are all brilliant and I enjoyed each of them in my own way. Vicente was the grumpy-pants big-time CEO who just needed someone to be his partner in every sense of the word. Camila was the sunshine who needed someone to stand by her when things got tough. And Ava was just a cutie who sometimes spoke more wisely than any five-year-old I've ever heard. BUT...

I was only 18% in, and the term 'Let's Boogie' was annoying me so much. I know this is a romance between Camila and her boss, but it is so unprofessional, it's crazy. Also, two other things bothered me as I read. The first one was Owen. That massive turnaround and for what? I'm sorry but, for me, that just didn't work. And the second involved Ava. There is a big scene where she isn't sure if Vicente likes her and gives her reasons. He apologises and asks to call her a special name which is then NEVER mentioned again. I will also admit to being baffled by the term 'Wife' being used all the time!

A story of growth, of families, and of choices, this was a quick, short read that I did enjoy and would recommend. 3.5 rounded up.

I completely fell in love with Ava 😍😍 that little girl has stolen my heart and she’s the most adorable kid ever!!!!! That kid has spunk, grace, very wise and funny ! Anyways, this book has such a sweet and adorable storyline where we meet Camila and Ava. They have been independent for as long as Ava has been born and Camila is such a strong hard worker, always putting Ava first. Camila is literally the best mom ever and seeing her having to be perfect at all times can be tiring.

And who comes into her life and immediately takes care of Camila, Vicente Godoy!!! He is seen as a rude, but efficient boss who takes no nonsense from anyone. However, when he meets Camila, something in him changes. The way Liss Montoya is able to capture the exact moment he started to have feelings for her was magical. Her style of writing is evenly paced, with so much descriptive details that helps the reader understand and visualize what’s happening. I love the combinations of Chilean and Colombian cultures and the joke about tortillas 😂 as a Mexican, I found that so hilarious lol

I highly recommend reading this book bc it is such a sweet and loving story of a single mom and her daughter who have been independent for so long. I’m not saying everyone needs a man to succeed, but it was seeing Vicente fall in love with her and Ava melts my heart 🙂‍↕️❤️ not every guy out there wants to date a single mom but he just proved that there are sweet and loving men out there who do 🫶🏽
