Sniper

My brother is the president of the Devil’s MC, and I’m the secretary.
It’s a role I love, a role that means I can live my life.
I run my own business and handle the members and sponsors within the club.
This is the life I love.
The club, the girls, the freedom.
Settling down never appealed.
Why would it when I’ve had girls throwing themselves at me?
I’m classed as the club’s player, a title I relish.
Until I met her.
She instantly grabbed my attention.
I felt like the wind was knocked out of me as soon as our eyes locked.
She became my everything,
But she was hiding something.
She doesn’t like the brotherhood, but I needed her like I needed air to breathe.
I made her mine on a lie, but I don’t regret it.
When she finds out who I truly am and she tries to run, I’ll fight for her,
For them.
This girl has stolen my heart, and no one, including herself, will keep her from me.
Ready or not, my Firecracker, I’m about to turn your world upside down.
I’m about to tie you to me for life because you are mine.

Aurora

Life was great.
I had good friends and a father I looked up to.
But then he was deployed, and everything changed.
I was used, hurt, and betrayed.
Life didn’t look too good for me,
I had to run and run far, but I wasn’t alone.
I had a daughter to think of, a daughter to keep safe.
I had my sight set on the future for me, for her, refusing to allow anyone else in.
But I didn’t count on him.
As soon as our eyes locked, I knew he was mine, that we belonged.
But I was scared.
Life hasn’t been easy, and fear overtook me with how much I wanted and needed him.
He fought for me, and I let him in; I pushed my fear behind me.
I gave him my heart.
But he lied to me; he broke my trust.
I tried to run again; it was the only thing I knew what to do.
But he wouldn’t allow it.
He fought harder for me and would do anything to ensure he never lost me.
Even if it means locking me up.
I try to fight back, but it’s hard when we both know,
He wasn’t the only one keeping secrets.
I just hope mine doesn’t tear us apart.

This can be read as a standalone but is better if books are read in order to get an understanding of other characters. This is book 7 of 7 of The Devil’s MC series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes this book is recommended for readers aged 18+, this novel may contain triggers.

3.5 "Made it to the Finish Line" Stars

We made it to the end!! I’ll admit I was leery about starting this after my dreadful experience with Tech’s book. It felt like she pushed these last two books out so quickly, and that book was so problematic with plot holes and inconsistencies, but like I said in that review, we knew very little about Snipper/Theo and Aurora/Rory’s backstory going into this one, and that made all the difference… because this read almost like a new story.

Sure, the gang was around, but without the plot being congested with their overarching side stories; it felt fresh. So fresh that we got a new CW Juicy. Where did she come from? And worst name ever! I thought for sure it would be Crystal since she’s who everyone seems to “on a break cheat” with (Breaker & Tech) but I guess she’s nice now, or one of the OG CWs Celine, Amber, or Diamond. I expected more from Amber since we were told in Doc’s book (I think) that she really wanted in Sniper’s pants, but she was hardly around.

Bottom Line- I liked this one. This is probably going to sound confusing, but hopefully you’ll get me. It was “fresh” in that it didn’t have the same old couples running around with their tired-out problems we've read over multiple books with their mamas overstepping. This had a new conflict, new characters, a new villain, a new club, even a new club whore. It also tackled some pretty heavy trigger warning material. BUT It did have the same formula that we’ve seen over and over of a jealous ex that is given a long leash that causes issues that ends up making things go bad for the h. Simply put, a new take on the same old shit- LOL. If that helps. There’s also an epilogue +5 years with a small update on some of the guys and offspring, and maybe a possible hint at a next generation spinoff—maybe. 🤷‍♀️

Sniper knows the moment he meets Aurora and her beautiful daughter she is his one. He thinks it will smooth sailing once she gets to know him, but she wants nothing to do with bikers. Sniper doesn't tell her he is part of the Devil's MC and quickly earns his trust and soon they are planning their happily ever after. The problem is she does not know he is the secretary for the Devils MC and there is a reason she wants nothing to do with bikers that Sniper knows nothing about it.

This was good, Sniper was an idiot with his plans to bulldoze Aurora into being his. Aurora is a terrifically broken heroine, she could have just rolled around in fear but she has a strength that is inspiring. Another wonderful story in this series.

I liked this book but I had to set aside the author romanticising when the H messes with birth control to knock up the h but shames any female doing to it a male in the MC world. So many of this author’s books have OTT females who sway the Hs into making bad choices. It’s like she has a problem with females that they are usually the bad guy or the reason the H is a bad guy for a while.

That being said-I’m glad Aurora is ok and I’m excited to read Steal / Steel’s book. Hopefully he owns up to his mistake and doesn’t blame everything on Faith.

My rating: 3.5 stars

What I loved: I liked how the bad guy finally got what he deserved. I also liked how Sniper/Theo(H) brought the vote up to get rid of the patchchasers. It’s ashame it took how many old ladies to get hurt to have this done (eye roll). I loved how Sniper was all in with Aurora(h).

What I didn’t like: I don’t like how every single one of the old ladies gets hurt. I hated how Aurora lost one of her babies. Also, I really wished Aurora would have questioned Sniper about him lying about sleeping with the ow when they were talking about him lying about being in the MC. He really had no reason to lie, it wasn’t like they were together or even knew each other when he did have sex with her.

***Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: Sexual abuse (h was 17), kidnapping, physical and emotional abuse on the h, betrayal from the H by lying to the h, miscarriage due to being beaten. In the beginning the h is being looked after by a MC because her dad took on an assignment. The dad is in the military and promised the h he wouldn’t take on any assignment until she went away to college. The mother died and she didn’t want to be alone. The dad broke the promise and left leaving the h to be watched by the Mc for a year and a half. A couple months go by and one day one of the guys comes to help her with her math homework. When she tells him about a boy he tells her that she is his, rapes her, and kidnaps her. For a year she is sexually, physically and emotionally abused. She also got pregnant the first time she was raped and had a baby girl. When she goes to the hospital after trying to end her life she runs into the bad guy’s ex “old lady”. The ex helps the h escape. h moves around and finally settles in the same town as the H. The h and H meet when the h’s daughter throws her milkshake at the H to share. H is the road captain for the MC and is a manwhore but as soon as he sees the h, he is all in. H asks the h out and they slowly start to date. H doesn’t tell the h that he is in a MC because he is tired of all the patch chasers. When he realizes she isn’t like that he mentions the club but right away the h tells him she wants nothing to do with the MC. H decides to keep it from her. When H and h are out, a clubwhore approaches them and basically lets the h know that she was with the H sexually. H lies to the h telling her that she is his brother’s ex girlfriend. H’s plan is to make the h fall in love with him, get married right away and start a family that way when she finds out she will stay because she loves him. H obviously doesn’t know about her past. H and h get married and the H adopts her daughter. The H tampers with her birth control and the h gets pregnant. When the h’s car breaks down the h tries calling the H but he doesn’t answer. One of the MC brothers pulls up to help. The lady with him recognizes the h and tells the h that the H is part of the MC. h goes to the club and sees him. She confronts him and tells him she wants a divorce. h leaves and serves him divorce papers a couple of days later. H not having that, takes her and brings her to his house. He makes sure she is never alone especially when he overhears her talking about aborting the baby. H tries talking to her and tells her that she needs to tell him her past. When h finds out she is having twins, she tells the H everything. H holds a meeting and invites her dad with a few of the trusted MC. H tells them that h is his wife and the h shows up and tells them about what happened to her. They’re upset and decide to let the H kill the bad guy. Before they can get him, he along with the clubwhore from earlier kidnaps the h. H and the MC get her back but not before she loses one of the babies due to getting beat up. HEA with the bad guy dead and a glimpse into the future with them having 5 kids and her pregnant again. Also, H and the club finally ban the patchchasers. (It only took all the woman getting kidnapped or hurt by them to finally get this done LOL)

Final thoughts: I skipped the three books in front of this one because I really liked the story line of how he kept him being in the MC a secret. I’m glad I read it. I was tried of reading how the hero would get with the ow as soon as they break up from the heroine and in this one the hero stays true to the heroine. Yes I will go back and read the others, just not right away.

I officially finished both MC series from this author and it was ok. It wasn't as angsty as I thought it was going to be, but you do get Sniper/Theo's manwhore ways in the beginning before meeting Aurora. After meeting Aurora he was all in. Never even looked or thought of another woman. His lies started adding up though. 🙃 I found myself not liking Aurora unfortunately. She's a character that crossed over from the Huntsman MC. The kidnapped 17 yr old. Yes, what happened to her was tragic, but the author didn't really write in a way that I could feel empathetic for her. Sniper was a surprise because I did like him. Not sure if this author is continuing this series. Or maybe going towards a second generation series? I honestly missed the grit this author usually has in her books. The violence and comeuppance has sadly not been present in her latest books which I found disappointing. What about Amber? Did CM forget her? Anyways, hopefully she'll bring back some of her original ways of dealing with evil ow's and side characters.

This was a more emotional read than some others in the series. Sniper, like all his MC Brothers messes up but for once we get a hero I found completely redeemable. Aurora definitely has a brutal past but I loved her character and the HEA was adorable.

I'm rolling my eyes at these scrubbed reivews cause no way does this author's rinse & repeat books deserve anywhere near 5*, but some are better than others, and this one was the worst of the bunch. It was not even that smexy and with a h that is seriously a moron and her backstory is a real eyeroller. I skipped so many pages & I'd like to know why some authors have their h's ass beat so bad they're unrecognizable & have busted ribs, black eyes & we're nauseated from it, yet she's up & having sex in no time (my eyes hurt fom rolling). just skip this utterly stupid story.

I swear, the CW’s are the worst and best parts of this author’s stories. Also, this MC club has got to be the most incompetent group of men that literally NOBODY respects, because nearly every women in this series (barring the FMC’s) has gotten the jump on them in every way possible. The men threaten to “OFF” them constantly because of all their treacherous actions, but they only ever do that AFTER the OW have succeeded in betraying and hurting the FMC’s and or their children. Like, why are they given so many chances? Or, why as the series progresses, do none of the MMC’s not learn from the previous brothers mistakes and take preventative measures, so nothing worse can happen in their club? Seriously no effort to learn from past mistakes is ever made. It’s so bad, it’s truly entertaining. lol Smdh.

FINAL UPDATE

I liked this story as much as the rest. It’s highly entertaining if you understand right from the bat it’s going to be a shit show. lol. The crazy is strong with all the “Other Women” in these books. I do just feel like not enough is done to the characters that show their true colors with all their minor betrayals. They could have been banned for the club right from jump. But in most cases they were left lingering around with no supervision and allowed to continue their detrimental behavior against the club and or individual brothers until it becomes so egregious that they finally have no choice but to k!// them in the end. It’s a bit much to believe that anyone would let a person continue to be in their sphere after they have shown themselves to be an enemy. Smh.

Anyway, I can’t wait for more by this author. She is a guilty pleasure for me. These books have content like trash tv and I never watch that kind of programming but I’m loving it in my books by some authors. And im addicted to this author for that reason alone. Good luck.

Alot of promise, but...

This author has alot of promise, but needs to change up her storylines. I read all 7 books in this series, however every book seemed to have the exact same storylines with different characters. At least three of the books have changing birth control, all of them have the same issues with the patch chasers. And so on and so on. Would be a much more interesting read to actually have diff. Plots etc. The books r a good read, just get a bit boring after the 3rd book

Same Story, Same People

Somebody who doesn’t have an attorney has papers drawn up and served within two days.. okay. You let a man you’ve known for less than two months dress your two year old child when you’ve been sexually abused, poor parenting. The side characters seem to always be more relevant that the main. This author isn’t one I recommend. The stories are so fictional it’s hard not to snort and roll your eyes at the book.

Rest In Peace Juicy

So at the start, I cared about him.

The way he enjoyed killing Axe when she was hurt and pregnant, forcibly, with Juicy dead just killed any sympathy I had for any of these people.

Poor Juicy.

Dehumanised by this toxic bastars for years and years.

I mean the author believes in virginity, a purely psycholigically abusive concept.

So hes a personal exceptionalist.

So what?

What was special here?

He lied and forced pregnancy on her.

Forced her to gestate a baby for himself.

This man is a toxic bastard.

Love would have seen him at her side and she.miscarried but he was too busy enjoying playing with the attacker.

Like all men.

The female victim is invisible.

How can you love a man who would dehumanise another woman so fast?

And call it "i like sex" no you coercive cunt you like control and you dehumansied Juicy for years.

Can't relate to women who need to normalise calling other women whore, holes, hoes and groupies etc.

Makes me happy they have sad lives, competing witb other womens sad lives.

Snipers a patroarchial protdct toxic asshole.

Poor daughter.

Remember, theres always a fucker Sniper to dehumanise the kid like he dehumanised Juicy.

And he will have normalised it.

What a cunt.

EDIT: Seen some info on the author and would like to make clear I am commenting on the social trends and who these social trends exist to serve.

As a trauma victim of people like this, whoi love to save me over and over, I will comment that these are just two different types of narcissists andthe one painted as a hero ensures women have really unhealthy lives.

Using a physical rapist to contrast with and then add nuance to the Coercive Partner isn't going to rest with me.

I am of the post modernist genration, where it's toxic to act like a pregnancy is a person to protect. It woul have been infinitely more empowering, as a rape victim here, to see this chronically raped person, be able to reponsibly evacuate you what Sniper coercively ejaculated inside her.

It really is more romantic for many of us if a pregnant person was afforded the boundaries to choose themselves, instead of letting these toxic men cage them externally, until they can cage them internally.

Once the internal caging happens, the non-consensually inducing another state in her body, external liberation is no longer enough.

Babies are gestated, they are not conceived.

And its really important for cultural trends to start reflecting this.

It matters where he could have been, when she was miscarrying. He wasn't by her side, he was salaiciously enjoying the rapists death instead.

He does not get to weaponise her body and trauma against her, and have me believe she shares emotional repsonibilty for that. He is no less controlling than Axe, she just found him hot and didn't like Juicy's manifestations of being coerced and dehumanised for years on end.

Unusual and bizarre because the hero is one of the most decent this author has written about.
Of course this must be measured according to the parameters of MC members, that is overbearing and does what he wants to get what he wants, no matter what.
The heroine was kidnapped, abused and raped for one whole year by a member of another MC and she had a daughter from the rape, with the help of the rapist gf she escaped and made a good life for her and her lil girl.
She meets the hero and falls in love with him. He’s a kind and committed guy, and incredibly patient with her but he’s not honest regarding him being a mc member. He knows she doesn’t like MC but he hides it from her, and marries her without telling her anything.
Then he tampers with her pill and the poor heroine gets pregnant.
She’s still recovering from her trauma, but the hero doesn’t know it because she never told him about it, which is why I can not completely excuse what he did but at least I can’t blame him for not knowing she had such a big trauma in her past.
He should have been honest and she should have been honest too. Things come out. The heroine is angry because he lied to her and doesn’t know if she wants the child, and one thing I could appreciate was that when the hero found out her past, and that she didn’t want to be pregnant again, he didn’t get angry and let her choose if she wanted to keep the child or not.
The psycho rapist of course finds her and hurt her, but in the end all is -quite- good.
So, there are so many triggers.
Rape.
Kidnapping.
Abuse.
Miscarriage.
Beating.
But there’s no cheating at all, and the hero, even if in the past he’s been a big manwhore, he’s completely devoted to the heroine as soon as he meets her and what’s more, he proposes the MC to get rid of most of the club girls, that will be only around the single brothers during parties and never around the others to avoid cheating and emotional attachments. Well, it’s not what I would have liked, which is that they got rid of all the girls, but it’s better than nothing.

Well... where do I begin

So, I read the entire series. I really do like this author... BUT there were inconsistencies with the Huntsmen MC and the brothers there. If you've read the other series, Steel, Acid, and Piston's stories were different.

Possible spoilers below...

Also, I get these MC brothers are alpha males, but they mess up big-time, and somehow, they always end up only being partly to blame. Let's start with Snake's story. He was absolutely ruthless to Sarah. In my opinion, it would have taken a lot more for me to have forgiven Snake, yet somehow Sarah took some of the blame. Same thing with Breaker and Tech. They both ended up messing with other women, and somehow, it wasn't cheating. I'm sorry, they may not have been together at the moment, but they kept professing all this love for their women. Same thing with Doc and Kennedy. He destroyed her, chose another woman, and yet she was supposed to call him to let him know she had a stillborn. Yeah, no, she didn't owe him anything at all.He abandoned her. Yeah, I get that his hands were tied, but nonetheless, it still ended up that the FMC shared the blame. Sniper really upset me because he manipulated Rory on every level. Not only did he not tell her he was in an MC, but he messed with her contraceptives and then pretty much just kidnapped her and locked her in his room. I would have ripped his throat out. He would have had to grovel really hard, and even then, I'm not sure I could move past it. The thing that upset me about these books is that the MMC did some really ugly things and yet somehow ended up clean as a whistle at the end of all of it. Which didn't sit well with me. So I was disappointed in the men. especially when they sought solace with another woman even if they had broken up. No. Period. Full Stop. It is not okay because had it been the other way around. They wouldn't have been so forgiving. It's hypocritical! I was so upset that the MMC could be horrible, and the women just looked past all of it because of love and somehow ended up sharing the blame.

I am a big fan of this author and found that this book is going back a bit to what has been missing from some of the other newer releases (true gritty story with heavy topics).

SA/R = I'll start with this tag...the h was attacked and victimized for a YEAR!! by someone she has trusted and felt safe with. It was a quick off the bat horrific situation that quickly grabs the reader and instills a feeling of anxiousness for the reader. Well written and incredibly tragic. To be clear...the h may have been victimized but she is NOT a victim. She is a survivor! h gets away from her tormentor and the story picks up a little over 18 months later. This all happens in the very first part of the book.

F-preg = the h is impregnated against her will not once but TWICE! First time was tragically as a result of her first SA/R where she not only had her virginity forcibly and horrifically taken away but also became pregnant (not that it stopped her rapist from continually abusing and raping the h). The h had fear of not being able to love the product of a rape, but when she sees her baby, her fear was unfounded. The second time the h becomes pregnant was a result of the H tampering with her BC. The h had some angst over this and spiraled a little about the pregnancy for several reasons including not knowing if she could bond with the new baby.

OW drama = H's previous f-buddy is instrumental in getting h kidnapped (a little bit formulaic, honestly). Comeuppance? Bad guy unalives the OW.

MC = H in in MC but that's about the extent of it for the story.

Great story about a survivor and how she deals with her trauma and perseveres to be a strong and successful woman.

The H was all in with the h and his only problem was that he lied about his involvement with the MC (h was very anti-MC as that is what her abuser was a part of as well).

WOW! I really enjoyed this book the amount of times this book has made me cry was UNREAL. The trauma that Aurora goes through and having to heal form it.

Aurora has a traumatic past with the MC so she makes it known that she doesn't want to be involved with a brother. She ends up falling for Theo aka Sniper (spoiler he's a brother) and when she finds out she feels lied to and feels as if she can never trust Theo.

This book took me on a rollercoaster and can we talk about Autumn who is Rorys daughter she was so precious. She the one that sorta set up her mom with Theo, she was so adorable. Theo and Autumn relationship just made my heart melt i couldn't, So cute. This book was everything I needed and more. I can't wait to see what she writes next. Maybe the Huntsmen MC series?

Tropes:
- traumatic past
- mc romance
- secret identity
- bc tampering
- single mom

A beautiful love story for Aurora and Sniper

This is book seven in the series and I am reading them all. Mind the trigger warnings because Aurora is abused and violated by someone who was supposed to be a safe adult, a trusted MC member, traitor. That part is heartbreaking and it makes you cry, but understanding that it is part of her journey. I really liked that, although so young, Aurora recognized the need to get help mentally after she escaped her abuser. Sniper was just the best at being understanding in spite of being an alpha male. I liked that the author was authentic with the end of this book. There was no everything is perfect, but a more realistic showing of our couple and their MC families. There is a happy ending in the epilogue at a few years later. Read On!

3 1/2 stars. I've read several MC books by this author now. If you have any triggers, be sure to read the warnings as there are several traumatic events described and/or referenced in this book. The h has a horrific experience that makes her avoid both her father and members of MC for a few years. The H is smitten by the h and her two year old daughter and hides his association with his MC until after they are married and she is pregnant. She hides her past from him. This is the seventh book in a seven book series and their brief mentions of traumatic events involving members of the MC throughout the book. Not reading previous books didn't interfere with my engagement with the story and the main characters. Some OW drama.

Sniper and Aurora

This was such a heartbreaking story. So much pain and struggle between this couple that they had to endure. Aurora was filled with so much pain because she had to live with a rapist and know that her daughter was conceived because of it. then Sniper comes into her life and is willing to battle all her challenges and complications. Absolutely fell in love with this book because it was filled of with so much admiration then of course you have the whole Love at first sight and then realizing everything they had to conquer together as a couple together to find their happily ever after. Couldn’t put this book down. I am so sad to know that this is the last of this series, but can’t wait to read. What’s next on this authors good reads.

So Good... A milkshake CAN bring happiness

I absolutely loved this book! My emotions were all over and I couldn't put the book down.

Rory, my goodness she has been through the ringer but let me tell you she is strong and comes out on the other side. Now Sniper gets hit with a milkshake made from Cupid I swear. One look and he throws his player ways out the window.

He is determined to have Rory his firecracker anyway he can even if he has to lie and do a few other things. Lol.

Nice tough as we hear all the kids that the brothers have, that clubhouse is FULL!

Love sniper

I enjoyed this book and as c l mcginley has release her books they have improved my only critique is that the books over lap on the story time line as each male lead finds their lady love so as the series goes on it repeats alot of the same things from previous books 📚 it c l mcginley writes with passion and talks about hard subjects this book has the main lead aurora dealing with a trauma that has let a long lasting mark on her and sniper aka her theo is there to help her but things are not a simple recommendation for this series and the untamed mc series

Amazing!!

This is the seventh book in this phenomenal series and this is Sniper and Aurora 's story.
This is a well written story which is an action packed emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, loyalty, danger, suspense, intrigue, challenges, heartbreak, undeniable chemistry, and unconditional love, which all leads to an entertaining, tragic, haunting, unpredictable, and spicy captivating page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Sniper & Aurora: triggers- SEXUAL ASSAULT, domestic violence, gun violence, kidnapping. Oooh I've been waiting on this story because Sniper of the member from Devil's MC that got married and his wife didn't know he was in an MC and didn't want anything to go with an MC. Well this book gets down to the nitty gritty of the reason why she doesn't like the MC's and it's a doozy. The beginning of the book is extremely dark so I pay close attention to those triggers. I love sniper and aurora together. They are so hot and sweet with each other and I love that she was the one that was able to change his outlook on relationships. Such a good story.

amazing

I have read all the devil’s mc series and I have enjoyed each one. They have not disappointed me at all. I would recommend reading them all. I have also read all the untamed hell fore’s series which have been my been my favorite series from this author. The huntsman mc is also a good series. They are all interconnected standalones. But it definitely good to read them all so you understand the connection with the characters and when others are mentioned in the books. I have truly enjoyed all the books I have read from this author. Look forward to more books.

Sniper

Love, love, loved this book. I absolutely adored Sniper and Rory’s story ❤️❤️❤️ Such a bad start for a girl nearly entering adulthood but she survived and saved herself. Sniper is such a wonderful man and he fell head over heels for her. Drama, chaos and danger as well as the jealous club girl adds extra excitement into the story. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤

Good 4.5🌟

I really enjoyed this book. Some parts were a little hard to read but relative to the story. Rory had suffered so much but showed her strength by surviving her ordeal.
This series has improved as it’s progressed.
The romance once again is a rollercoaster but an HEA is waiting for the couple.
Justice once again is served.
The epilogue is lovely.
Could there be a next generation series?…there’s certainly enough children.

Great read

This is one of my favorites in this series although if you are sensitive to abuse of any kind parts might bother you. Aurora who is a strong, awesome female lead is a survivor. Sniper is every woman's dream.

The plot starts out very traumatic but does get happier. It's very well written as is the whole Devil's MC series.

Sniper; an MC romance ( a devil’s MC series book 7)

Maple was sexually assaulted by a MC member. She escaped from her captivity with her infant daughter. she finds it hard to trust Sniper. I enjoyed reading their journey together. I like this author’s approach that is interesting and engaging in this novel.

aurora and sniper

The player found his other half although she didn’t want anything with an MC brother because of her traumatic past with one. So he lied to her about him being a brother so he would not lose her and her little girl. That created a crisis in their marriage as well as finding out her secret.
