A most suitable title as these words are definitely obscure and enchanting. The vast majority are completely new to me, I've never seen them in print or heard them spoken. Some words were familiar enough to have me congratulating myself on my "broad" vocabulary; examples include agog, dauntless, esplanade, flaneur, opalescence, panacea, quintessential, and wanderlust. Some have been recent pop culture buzz words like fika, hygge, ikigai, kalsarikännit (more commonly known as pantsdrunk), lagom, procrastibaking, and sisu. The Scandinavian countries really get their representation, or at least those words have made their way into my orbit.

A small book, each entry is one page and includes the word itself, the part of speech it is assigned to, how to say it, its definition, a sentence using the word, and a brief etymology.

I noted several favorites, some for the definition, some simply because they're fun to say:
aspectabund - having an expressive face that readily shows emotions, thoughts, or moods
bimble - to walk or wander aimlessly, but with a cheerful and relaxed atttitude
filipendulous - hanging by a thread or suspended in a delicate, dangling manner
fulparkerare -a person who parks their vehicle poorly, often in a way that inconveniences others
funambulist - a tightrope walker; someone who performs feats of balance on a thin rope or wire
morgenmuffel - a person who is grumpy or slow to wake up in the morning

A few of the easiest to remember, and thus use:
jumboism - the tendency to favor or pursue things on a grand, oversized, or excessively large scale
moonglade - the shimmering path of moonlight on a body of water
truepenny - a trustworthy, honest, and dependable person
zazzy - flashy, stylish or eye-catching in a bold and vibrant way

There are lots of interesting words, but will I remember them tomorrow? I hope to retain at least some of the more novel and amusing words, and it seems like this book is a fun and easy way to challenge myself to expand my vocabulary.
