Another random book I got for my birthday, albeit the person who gave me this knows me pretty well and it's quite up my alley.
It captures the soulless business-speak of the corporate world to amusing effect. However, the "case studies" did get a bit long at the end. And I wish it had an index so I could pop it open and use it at work.
The highlight - and what made me laugh out loud - was at all the "page left intentionally" messages sprinkled throughout. Some of my favorites include: -This blank page is designed to empower stakeholders through reflective whitespace immersion. -This page is disrupting the traditional content paradigm through strategic absence. -This page has pivoted to a whitespace-first approach to robustly engage core stakeholders and unlock agile, solutions-oriented ecosystems.
...of course now that I typed all that out I am wondering if this entire thing was created with AI... hmmm...
If you need a good laugh, or have said some of these in your head, the little stories that accompany the sayings are hysterical. Highly recommend if you just need some comic relief about the work place.
