It's autumn at Kamome Academy, and the annual school festival is underway. Nene is excited to tour the festivities along with Hanako, Kou, and Mitsuba...but when an onslaught of supernaturals bursts onto the scene, their relaxing afternoon turns into an unexpected crisis! Little do they know, though, the culprits behind the attack have their sights set on something greater—the yorishiro of No. 1 of the Seven Mysteries, the Clock Keepers...
The school festival was nice (until it wasn't), but this volume was mostly build-up and ended with yet another cliffhanger. The cover fucking slaps, though.
Just read it and it didn't feel like 100> pages. It was so addicting and the whole small yashiro thing? Love, just love it. And when Tsukasa did that thing with Yashiro when she couldn't move? Gross and disrespectful. Caught me so off guard. Poor hanako-kun. As always a great volume, excited for the next one!
this whole volume was honestly just build up for what is about to happen. until the end of chapter 104, i can't say something interesting really happened.
where is the reviews at 😭, anyways the website I read the volumes on had these early ( I think ) - - - I’m just so happy I’m all caught up BUT I love this arc so far ngl I feel like we are abt to get the FULL story soon abt hanako and tsukasa
When i started this i thought it was gon be a cute lil silly manga.. Its not i feel betrayed aidalro wat are these new chapters pls give them their happy ending, and dont make us choose give is both hananene, and mitsukou 😔
the art style is as breathtaking as always, the usage of predominantly black for all the ghosts/“evil” characters and predominantly white for Nene and other main characters is so cool. that is even more prominent because of the harsh lines that the artist uses, it is simply so cool. also, all the backgrounds have sooo much detail, i’m always impressed about all the little things that you can find out and all the different attributes that they give to the extra characters. and the cover for this volume might have become one of my favourites; the bright colors, the facial expression and the background full of different hearts make the cover so attractive.
as for the story, this last arc is so intriguing. i didn’t expect Natsuhiko to actually have such a cool ability. little Nene was a menace lmao i wasn’t expecting to see her as a child but it was entertaining and a change from seeing always just Hanako in his childhood. finally, the ending with the second clock keeper made me so excited for the next volume ✨
I love this so much, even though it's something like a filler volume! I kind of like the slow pace and the build up that's going on. I can enjoy the characters a little longer this way, before this manga actually comes to an end.
// CONTENT SPOILER WARNING //
Natsuhiko is growing on me lately. At very first I thought he was an annoying side character, but he actually is really fun and cool?? The origami swan thingy was super interesting, especially the teasing way he's treating Teru made the whole scene perfect.
Now that we're getting closer to the end of the series, some big secrets are being unveiled. With that I mean we get to know who Sakura is (kind of), we get to examine the clock and Sakura's motives are slowly clearing up. I'm eating all of this information up, even though it makes me a bit sad knowing that all of this is leading to the finale.
Kou and Mitsuba being blatantly gay also had to be part of this volume, obligatory by now.
The Teru palace caught be me off guard bro. I was laughing so hard. Especially later on when Tiara had those Teru plushies in her hand - what kind of SCHOOL festival stall is that?!? Tiara was super cute in general. As well as Mirai. I'm mad about the cliffhanger as always, but oh well...
Nene and Tsukasa singing nearly made me tear up. It made Tsukasa seem so human and this fragile side of him is so precious. I hope we get to see some more genuine scenes of him...
Overall a very fun volume as always, although I'm looking forwards to more stuff happening next volume!
EDIT: I NEARLY FORGOT TO MENTION THAT TSUKASA KISSED NENE WTF. That was seriously messed up and wrong. Poor Hanako couldn't move to protect Nene. Him crying is so valid man...
I really do love a school festival…even though they always seem to go wrong in this series 😂
This volume was primarily set up for what will likely be a much bigger confrontation in the next volume. As always, Tsukasa is scheming in the background with his two helpers and just creating chaos wherever he goes. The truly foul thing Tsukasa did in this volume, however, was kiss Yashiro while she was frozen in time! Absolutely rude and unnecessary. Even poor Hanako ends up crying about it 😩 Only for foul Teru to make fun of him for it! (If Teru has no haters, I’m dead. Can’t stand that boy!)
It was fun, however, to see Yashiro turn into a little girl! She had tantrums and everything Tsukasa had no idea what to do with her and her irrational kid brain. I had a blast with that, ngl.
The domain of the Clock Keepers in general is really cool, so I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of it in the next volume!
P.S. It really broke my heart to see Mitsuba’s mom, though, because Mitsuba is no longer attached to the memories of his human life…so he’s curious about her, but she’s not truly meaningful to him 😭 my poor heart
Another volume of this series. I'm entertained by the characters and the story, and have nothing but love for the art style, but I would be lying if I didn't feel like the story is being spread a little thin. I'm not quite sure what we're heading towards because it feels like this series could've ended multiple times in previous volumes. I'm hopeful we're heading towards some kind of conclusion, if only because I don't want to feel like this story has worn out its welcome, and I can still find reasons to find joy in reading or rereading it.
I love this series and the mysteries they have to solve. This volume is def a build up of what is to come but there were some wtf moments for me. I think Tsukasa really crossed a line with Hanako and I am curious to see where that pushes him. Also little Nene was super cute and I always love Mitsuba. I cannot wait for the next volume.
